I Title My Review; «4.67-to-$ 6.49»(Sung in a Tommy Tutone voice) Ok so the breakfast version of the BLT is actually $ 4.75 but I had to make the lyrics fit! Anyway. Maybe 3 months ago I wouldve given this place 2.5 stars instead of the two but they upped the price of their menu. Now a Breakfast BLT costs $ 4.75 and for $ 2 more the Lunch BLT comes with…*drum roll please*…TWOEXTRAPIECESOFBACON!!! I BOWDOWNTOTHEBACONGODSFORMAKINGSUCH A LUNCHSACRIFICE. –________– Thats right folks for $ 6.49 and 1 minute past 11:00am you can get yourself an overly priced slap of bread, day old bacon, thinly sliced tomato and wilted lettuce.(Ok the sandwich isnt that bad. Im just really annoyed at the price gouging) Besides the overpriced BLT conundrum the sandwich artists who make your food are not the friendliest but recently I have seen new employees and they have better attitudes. This place is good for a quick lunch or breakfast. They have fresh meats that they roast inhouse. They have all the toppings you could ever pray for on a sandwich. They also have salads, smoothies, parfaits, craft sodas, chips and candy. And they have the most wonderful peanut butter cup cookie I have EVER had in my life!(Maybe I should bump up my score because of that? – *remembers $ 6,499 Lunch BLT* – NAAAH!

This might be the best deli of all time. actually no. it definitely is. The only downside with the place is that the food is so good you end up sad when you finish. and low price… definitely check it out.

Amazing! Literally one of the only places I have been to in DC that has a full turkey and they literally carve the meat right in front of you! Awesome breakfast sandwiches too! Be sure to get your breakfast on a croissant!

This is the perfect location. A two minute walk from my job, serving breakfast, lunch and smoothies. What could be wrong? The service in here, simply sucks. On multiple occasions, the workers have made my sandwiches look like sloop. And then they’re always angry. If they had happier servers, this place would get more business. But with the rush, and the customer service, this place is definitely a skip in the morning, if you’re trying to get off to a good start!

So I was taking an epic extended«coffee break» on Friday while counting the hours until freedom. I was going to do the 1.2 mile walk from my job to Chinatown Coffee but I saw Atrium Café, and feeling guilty by how much time I had already spent wandering, decided to take a gamble and get coffee from there(I saw«coffee bar» spelled out on its glass storefront. I walk inside and immediately realized this was one of those ubiquitous buffet/deli corporate businesses owned by Koreans in DC. I knew the coffee wouldn’t be anything special but instead of heading back out to the street, I decided to grab a small cup of Colombian coffee which came out to $ 1.86(including tax). I handed the lady two $ 1 bills and saw her hand my shiny change that was silver not gold. I was like word! She just rounded up and hooked me up with a dime and a nickel, only to find out she gave me two nickels. This lady shorted me four pennies! I admired her gusto and made no issue of it, preferring to get them back on Unilocal instead! I won’t be returning to this place, needless to say!

It’s a good option for lunch. Lines are short and move quickly. Prices are reasonable. The meat is carved fresh. The pre-made salads are usually good but tend to get sold out by 1:00. The place isn’t amazing. But DC isn’t known for its delis(other than Loeb’s of course). I think Atrium is definitely the best sandwich shop within a 6 block radius.

This is a good, dependable deli. The service is fast, but not the friendliest, but this is DC after all. It is difficult passing this place on my way to work in the morning, with the scent of baked goods wafting by. Sometimes I give in and stop for a breakfast sandwich. They are a great deal and they’re huge, so I save the other half for lunch. The deli sandwiches are in fact freshly carved meat with no preservatives(shocker!). They should find a new bacon supplier though, it’s paper thin. Avoid the regular house coffee.

This place is a kind of lifesaver when it is too hot to venture outside. The service is fast, and the carved turkey sandwiches are tasty and reasonably priced.

Agreed with the other reviewer. Carved meat sandwiches to order at the same price that others charge for factory meat with its fake smoke and msg.

Atrium Café is a mini chain spread throughout downtown DC. This location between Chinatown and Metro Center is the most convenient deli to my office, but I often find myself trying to think of reasons not to go here. The service is fine, even great. The breakfast burrito is good but not excellent, the breakfast sandwiches are tasty but make you feel like you ate a 3 lb breakfast, the bagels are doughy and the cream cheese is flavorless. The sandwiches are all cold sandwiches which really isn’t what I’m interested in for lunch. The bread I got with my sandwich was hard and hurt my teeth. Atrium is a fine option for breakfast, but I’d pass for lunch. I’ve heard the coffees are tasty and they do offer flavor shots. For the money, 1791 a block away is still the reigning area deli king.
