The food is fine but there is a real problem with this restaurant. My wallet was stolen here today and I know three other people whose wallets were stolen at the same location. I will not be back.

Perfect lunch stop for us after the renwick gallery(near White House). Very busy place but food good, nice variety of menu including kids menu and not too expensive. Similar to panera bread. Quick service too.

Totally discombobulated and the food was mediocre. You go in and place your order at one place and pay in another. The system makes no sense and there was no order to it. Anyway, I ordered half a chicken pesto sandwich and half a Shanghai Salad. The sandwich was tiny. Probably ¾ or 2⁄3 the size of Panera for the same price. Same for the salad. Neither were anything special – the sandwich was very basic and the salad was just greens, carrots, chicken, and little crunchy things. It came out to $ 13 with a bottle of water. You can get the same thing at Panera for about the same price and get double the food. Service was lost. The lady behind the counter couldn’t figure out who ordered what between my friend and I. It was quick, though.

Went at 7:30pm on the ice/snow day. Only a few people out. Alfonso greeted us with a smile and congratulated us for making it through the ice! Alfonso recommended the Steak flat bread sandwich and the turkey bacon sandwich.(halves). Both were delicious! Also had the turkey chili and Mac & Cheese. Both were great! Alfonso was just great! — helpful and pleasant — came around and asked how everything tasted. Say Hi to Alfonso … BigJoe

My coworker talked me into getting lunch today plus I had forgotten my lunch at home this morning. So i ask her about their«bowls» and she said their«bowls are pretty good». We walk over and I order the Brazilian Steak bowl. I have them add avocado. I pay for the bowl which comes to $ 11.70 and have to ask for a bag. I get back to the office excited for lunch and as I open the bowl I’m extremely disappointed. The bowl has 4 pieces of steak and 4 pieces of avocado. Seriously??? I just paid almost $ 12 for a vegetarian bowl!!! I took a few bites and stopped eating as the food made my stomach upset. This is why I stick to bringing my own lunches to work because I know what’s in them and I don’t normally worry about my money/food going to waste. Don’t plan on going back and if I didn’t have to give it any stars I wouldn’t have.

I was skeptical of this location because of the bad reviews but I didn’t have much of a choice since I was limited by location and needing a quick dinner. So I tried them and got a good sandwich. I had the Tuscan pesto chicken. It was delicious! The man preparing the sandwich was very polite and quick in his service. The place seemed clean and my overall experience here was very good. I’d definitely recommend giving them a try

This location I definitely do not recommend, mgmt is the worst, I was regular there, buying bagels on regular, I personally used to keep homeless jerks from stealing out business, employees most are Hispanic, they are not friendly at all, pizza is ok, the Thai dish they sell is mouth watering good, most food is very pricey, the place needs to replace the top mgmt, I told the district mgmt this he ignored me, she is native just like him of course, #total BS!

I like Cosi. I won’t rank it as my favorite lunch spot but I can definitely appreciate the efficienct service here. There’s another location a couple of blocks away(on Pennsylvania Avenue) and that offers warm pieces of bread while you wait in line, but I’ve noticed this one doesn’t. I can see that maybe some folks feel that it’s unsanitary to just have the bread sitting out there and perhaps that’s why this location chooses not to have that, but I like bread and free bread at that. The adobo lime chicken salad is my favorite here and certainly a staple. I really enjoy the Flatbreads, an item that this location does not offer, but maybe they will later.

Love signature salad and club salad. But wish I could get them at 7:30 am on the way into the office. They serve just breakfast then. Another local place has lunch food available at 7:30am.

This is a good place to grab breakfast, lunch, a quick snack etc. It’s nothing special. The meals aren’t exceptional, but it fills the bill when you need to grab something and go. The menu is relatively simple with it’s bagel selection that you can fill with eggs, meats, or cheese options. The service isn’t particularly quick, but you get a descent sized sandwich for the cost, which should hold anyone until their next meal. The salad was quite enjoyable although I cannot stand when there are a selection of toppings sprinkled on top and the rest of the meal is lettuce; we aware before making the selection or modify how they load up the bowl. Overall, this place is exactly as the rating: okay.

The food here is decent for the price and the people that work here are very friendly. While the food may taste decent, the physical space could definitely be cleaner. A little more care could go into making the food. It’s common for my sandwich to be missing one of the ingredients on the menu(ie: Turkey and Brie is really tasty but it is supposed to come with arugula, and alas my sandwich I’m currently eating is sans arugula). It’s also common for things to just be thrown together(ie: bagel has cream cheese on half, spicy mustard was spread just on one side of the sandwich, all the meat is shoved to one side of the sandwich, you unwrap your sandwich to find all your veggies just falling out of the sandwich… you get my point. It’s a pain to have to rearrange your sandwich after you unwrap it and after you just paid $ 10 for it.)

The visit started well with being asked to see a menu, but that was the highlight. When ordering, the employees were short and just tossed the contents of our sandwich on the bread. They were very rude when we could not hear due to loud music and accents. When we payed for the order, the employee barely said any words and was short with us when she did speak. Terrible experience; I will never return.

Don’t waste your $. The Buffalo Bleu sandwich was terrible. The service is not great either. Argued that we had a meal that we didn’t have. I saw another customer argue with the cashier about the stale coffee she had. Just not a great experience.

Wish I would have checked the reviews before ordering. Stopped in for a quick breakfast(at 11am). Tried to order steak and egg wrap but was told there is no steak. Verbatim, that’s what they said — «there is no steak». Ok… Fine. So I ordered a Santa Fe wrap. What I received was a complete soggy mess and could not be called a wrap at all. It was more like a soft taco, folded over, with some stuff inside, then absolutely DRENCHED in oil and sauce to the point where the wrap was so soggy it disintegrated when I tried to pick it up. I ended up with basically a foil packed filled with soggy wrap goo and some questionable looking scrambled eggs. Their pizzas are good though. But avoid this location for breakfast at all costs.

I give this place 3 stars for the food. Then to my surprise, I’m sitting at a table eating my sandwich when a server from the counter walked right past me with his latex gloves on and opened the storage room door. He came back out and proceeded back to the counter to make sandwiches! What the hell dude, those gloves are like 3 bucks a box for 500. Let’s be a little more cautious of our food prep at this place.

Disorganized! I came in with my husband and son to have some lunch. First of all where do you order?! Although there are signs it’s still very confusing. People are waiting for their food on the line to place the order so you either have to ask the person next to you if they placed their food order or if they are waiting to order. I’m familiar with their number system since I usually go to the one in NYC but if this was my first time coming here I would walk right out just like my husband did because he became very frustrated.

Usual Cosi food but there isn’t a ton of seating inside so getting a table can be tough. Worst of all, this place is a total disorganized cluster at lunch. Seriously, everyday here seems like they’ve never served a busy lunch crowd before. They try to have separate salad/sandwich lines but then people who want bowls aren’t sure where to go and once you place your order it’s a luck of the draw when you actually get your food. They’re nice here, just clueless. Not actually sure how you can make ordering and getting lunch so disorganized but they do it. Maybe they need to go shadow their 10th Street location? They serve you lunch there without the experience of being in a Kafka novel.

I had been seeing COSI’s all over DC and Philly and finally went in one. I went later in the day and had the $ 8.99 Chicken Adobo and a lemonade. I was pleasantly surprised to find they were both real good and a good, quick, easy and affordable option in DC dining! It game with a large slice of multi grain flatbread which was outstanding! You could spoon in chicken and veggies from your dinner bowl which was wonderful. I was impressed enough to go to another Cosi the next morning down the street from my hotel. That breakfast at that Cosi though did not impress, but for later in the day this one worked well for me!

I stopped into Cosi for a quick refuel when I noticed that they listed Phở Ga as one of their everyday specialty soups. WHAAAAAA? Most quick-serve sandwich shops usually reserves this top billing for the ever-popular broccoli and cheese or baked potato soup so for this to be receiving the honor of being served every single day I figured this soup must be all that and a bag of shrimp chips. As a $ 1.99 add on with a sandwich order, I figured that this was worth the gamble. I ate my beloved Chicken TBM Melt in a hurry(awesome as always) and then peered into my container of soup. What awaited me was a dark, murky broth, peppered with scallions that had been boiled to death, wide white noodles(perhaps from their chicken noodle soup?), and an unrecognizable smell. Still, I trucked on. One sip, is that a chicken chunk in there? Two sips, what is that aftertaste? Three sips, why does it taste so chunky? After this, I decided to take a break, drink some water, cleanse my palette and try again. Still terrible. I should have known, but I had such high hopes! Cosi, please stick to your wonderful flat bread sandwiches, signature salads and soups. The Vietnamese food arena is NOT your playing field.
