I’m a new Jimmy Johns stan and love how fast the service is, how fresh the ingredients are, and how friendly the staff is. The only reason this location receives a 3 is because it took much longer to make my sandwich than is normal for a Jimmy Johns. I don’t know if folks are in training or if they were short handed, but usually my sandwich is done as soon as I’m finished paying… not the case tonight. The sandwich maker struggled to make the order and it was comparable to the time it would take to make a Subway sandwich.

Let me preface this by saying that I’m a long time Jimmy John’s fan — but this spot in particular is great for a couple of reasons. First, the location can’t be beat if you want an affordable, but not greasy fast food downtown. The best thing about this location, though, is that they still offer sprouts for their sandwiches. Many of the locations stopped doing this, but this one still has them! Beach Club for life!

Fast for sure. I go here when I want to avoid the lunch rush. They are so fast a line never has time to develop. Bread is pretty good. Sandwich is simply average. Not bad not great. If you need something quick this is the place.

This is my work Jimmy John’s. It’s becoming a more frequent place to go when I need to just grab a quick lunch. My go-to? A gargantuan(every Italian meat imaginable and oil). No cheese. No mayo. Add on the dijon mustard. Pretty good, and it fills you up. The place is a madhouse during lunch, but the staff does a very good job of moving things along. The physical space is pretty limited(there’s a thin alley where you get soda), but they work around it well.

I usually don’t write bad reviews about places but this one was worth it. My first experience with Jimmy John’s was great. I got the country club with avocado and it was delish, so naturally I went back. This time I wanted my sandwich delivered. Big mistake! Where do I begin? I ordered my food waited until the time they gave me to go outside and 20 minutes later I got no call and saw no delivery man. After that I called them and they said he was on his way. 15 more minutes later no delivery man again, so I called again. They said they will see where he is located and give me a call back. 15 more minutes later the delivery man calls me from the store saying that he’s been trying to call me and that my street is outside of their delivery zone. I wish I would have known that 40+ minutes ago before I ordered my food. When I asked what number they had on file that was supposedly called numerous times, I was hung up on. They will never get another dime of my money. The only reason I gave them 2 stars is because their sandwiches are good.

Jimmy John’s never fails to satisfy. I probably prefer Potbelly’s sandwiches at the end of the day. The bread is chewier and more flavorful, and the toppings better. But Jimmy John’s does a very good sub. I prefer the Vito, though you really can’t go wrong with any of them. The best part is they are absolute speed demons. I can be in and out of the restaurant in about a minute, including ordering.

This place isn’t anything amazing but it’s a solid and affordable addition to the DC to the DC lunch landscape. The roast beef seems better quality than the«mystery meat» you’ll sometimes get on your $ 5 footling but they don’t have a wide variety of toppings that some other places offer. The place is tiny so plan to probably get it to go. They are also FAST, my sandwich was ready within 30 seconds of ordering. Nothing amazing but I’ll go back here for a sandwich on occasion.

This location is across the street from Macy’s and right next door to the Dunkin Donuts. Its sort of hidden given the lack of signs and the constructions, however, the sandwhich is on par with other Jimmy John’s franchise. If you aren’t sure what to try, I recommend the #14 bootlegger sandwich which consist of roast beef, turkey, and lots of mayo. It is heavenly.

Jimmy John’s purports to make«the world’s greatest gourmet sandwiches.» Maybe that line worked back in 1983 when the company was founded, but today when someone says«gourmet», I’m expecting some premium ingredients. I found none of that at Jimmy’s. The sandwiches at this shop are made with the same ingredients that you’ll find in any other sandwich shop. I ordered the Turkey Tom, which consisted of sliced turkey, lettuce, tomatoes, and Dijon mustard. According to the menu, the turkey is freshly sliced daily. Big whoop! The sandwich was a decent size(8 inches), yet I still felt hungry after I finished eating because of the measly toppings. My sandwich was inexpensive($ 5.85), but it would have definitely been nice to see some combo options or at least get a pickle with my sandwich. Jimmy’s motto is «subs so fast you’ll freak.» While I’ll admit that I got my sandwich quickly, it definitely wasn’t prepared at record speed. With its tiny space and limited seating, this Jimmy John’s location is destined to do most of its business through take out orders and delivery. This sandwich shop has been open for about a month now and I’m sure it won’t take long for it to develop a loyal lunchtime following. Unfortunately, I won’t be on the bandwagon.

I’d never been to a Jimmy John’s before coming here. I discovered it’s true — they are freaky fast(especially my first visit; they handed me my sub at the register, immediately after I paid)! The subs aren’t bad, either, and they are reasonably priced. I’ll be back for lunch.

I was actually very impressed. This shop changed my mind about the brand. Just last week, I was telling my son how I was not a fan of this store — maybe I had gone to the wrong one. I stumbled across this sandwich shop, after entering another sandwich shop a few doors away and not impressed by the workers there — I left. I enter JJs and I asked the young lady at the register how long they had been open — she tells me about a few weeks. Nice! I had the #9 Italian Night Club. It was right on time and delicious and for UNDER $ 7! The only issue that I had is that the guy on the line was chewing gum. Initially, I thought I was seeing things, but it was confirmed when the guy behind me muttered under his breath«he shouldn’t be chewing gum»(he turn around and left out of the store). I decided the still get my sandwich BUT I made a phone call to the store to tell a manager what had occurred — he stated that he would handle it. All in all, I would definitely go back and try another sandwich. Jimmy John’s on 13th street you have changed my mind about these subs!
