This is probably the worst Bojangles. The staff is unprofessional. The food is never fresh, or even slightly warm. I stayed in North Carolina and experienced Bojangles from a top notch location and it was leaps and bounds better than this location. As much as I love Bojangles, and this is their only outlet in DC, I will never return to this location again.

I have been to this location 3 times(one time in January 2013 one time again in January 2014 and jut recently in October this year) The first two times were 5 star. The food was hot and fresh(I got the chicken tender box each time). The fries weren’t to salty the biscuit was nice and buttery and the chicken was hot and moist and each time the customer service was good. Now…I went again in October this year and ordered the Cajun chicken filet sandwich deluxe with a side of fries. The lady at the register seemed to be polite(at first) but as I told her politely that I didn’t want the biscuit but the sandwich she seemed to have caught a attitude and said in a impolite tone(but that’s not what you said!) with out causing a scene I told her to switch it. She did with a attitude and barely wanted to talk to me while handing me my change(what?).I wait for my food and I get it in about 5 minutes. What I saw was a mess… The bread was falling apart and the lettuce was NOTFRESH. The bacon was over cooked and the fries were to salty and dry. The chicken was more crunchy than moist. I will check them out again. but will avoid if that lady is there.

I was at the Union Station(Washington DC) Bojangles less than three weeks ago and ordered a combo that included some of their chicken pieces, French fries, and biscuits. The meal tasted appetizing but it was so big that I truthfully did not finish it. I’m definitely not complaining about the amount of food given me for the cheap/affordable price that I paid, but I would certainly order something smaller on the next trip to the Union Station(Washington DC) Bojangles.

I ordered a family meal and the woman behind the counter wanted to hand it to me in small bags. That would have been sufficient had I not had a stroller with me and had about .5 mile walk. Oh and I had a half gallon of iced tea to boot. The woman had to get permission to place the food and tea in a box. Are you kidding me? The employees aren’t empowered to make a box decision? Such a shame! Otherwise, the chicken strips and biscuits were good. I prefer KFC’s coleslaw over theirs but theirs still is edible. The mac n cheese was tasty.

I had been to one other Bojangles in SC in my life. I decided to give this place a taste before I got on my train home just because I enjoyed my first experience. The first time I got a chicken on a biscuit sandwich. That’s what I originally loved. This time I decided on chicken by the piece. The biscuits are wonderful. But the chicken I would personally rank behind KFC and Popeyes. It’s probably more on a Church’s level in my eyes. It was good, just not as great as I thought it would be. I’m not sure if that’s more the fault of the location or the chain. But I’m a Northerner so I may be lacking in true expertise. I just know that fried chicken is a passion in my life(to the detriment of my own waistline), and I’ve had better.

My story of Bojangles starts with a co-worker who told to me that it was her place of choice for all her fried chicken needs. So when the opportunity presented itself for both of us to be in Washington DC together, she introduced me to the Union Station location. I’ll admit I was very surprised to see how fast the line moved, and more so impressed with how fast my order was prepared. Service was also very friendly. These are all things I didn’t expect to find in DC. Since I don’t normally make my way out towards our nation’s capital, I wanted to make sure my experience at Bojangles was the full deal. I ordered a Cajun chicken sandwich with fries, a four piece chicken tender with mac and cheese, and a couple blue berry biscuits — Bo-Berries I believe they were called. Mind you, I had no intentions or desire to finish everything I ordered, but rather just wanted to have a nice sampling of it all. The chicken sandwich wasn’t bad at all — Once I got the tomato out of the way that is(not a fan of them). Though it wasn’t as crispy as I hoped it would be, the chicken was very juicy and tender. The fries were a tad bit salty for my liking, so after eating a couple I moved on. The chicken tenders were my favorite. Very crispy, and like the sandwich, moist and tender. I made it a point to get all four sauces available and try each one with a different tender. The BBQ and honey mustard were by far the better choices. The ranch was just ranch, and the bo-sauce was some form of awful combination of yucky — Like mayo and mustard mixed with Italian seasoning. The mac and cheese was fairly bland, and forgettable. I took one spoon full and said, «Nope. Not good mac and cheese at all.» It was like that conveyor belt stuff you get at a buffet. No flavor at all. The blueberry biscuits would have been amazing if it weren’t for the glaze of icing on top. This aspect added way too much sugary sweetness to it. I suppose some go for this, but it wasn’t for me. Don’t get me wrong — It was still good. Just too sweet. I think providing the glaze in a packet on the side would be a better way to go about selling these. Overall, Bojangles isn’t bad at all. I don’t know if I would choose it over Popeyes if there were one in my neck of the woods, but I would definitely take it over KFC.

I visited the Union Station Location(9÷26÷15) first time. I ordered the(2) pieces(leg/thigh) w/mashed potatoes. I first tried Bojangles in North Carolina-it was Delicious each time! Today @Union Station it was«OK»! The chicken served hot, crispy skin, traditional spicy kick Great. The biscuit lacked that rich butter flavor, tasted a bit dry as eaten,(perhaps it sat out too long). The mashed potatoes wonderful seasoned gravy; but the potatoes tasted dried out or like instant potatoes. The crispy chicken& sweet tea made this meal«OK».

Was wandering ’round Union Station, and was hungry for lunch and saw Bojangles in the food court, so what the heck… Ordered a 2 piece dinner and a drink, Cajun pintos for the side. Tried the biscuit — excellent! Was flakey, fluffy, buttery. Tried the Cajun pintos — score! Very tasty — just a hint of a bite but savory sweet. And now the chicken? Meh! Total let down… I mean it wasn’t bad at all, but just like most other run of the mill fried chicken– kinda crunchy, not too salty, no other discernable spices other than salt. Personally, I like Popeye’s better for chicken. But props to Bojangles on their side dishes…

I’m from the south so when I found bojangles in DC, I was in heaven! It’s a little piece of home with the best fried chicken from a fast food joint. I usually get the Cajun filet biscuit(breakfast served all day) and a combo is usually only $ 5. I was charged $ 4.99 for the biscuit plus $ 3 for the combo, what a rip off! Then I checked the pricing on the board and the biscuit was priced at $ 3.59 — what’s wrong here. I was quite disappointed and he service was terrible also. Needless to say if I wasn’t so obsessed with bojangles, I wouldn’t be back as much.

Bojangles in union station! I know I am down south! Their biscuits are the best of all fast food biscuits and even from regular restaurants. Really big and buttery. I love the Cajun fillet biscuit. The best. They Will mix sweet and unsweetened iced tea. Bo berry biscuits great too. We need these in New York.

To be honest, I love saying the name. The name sounds like fun and the chicken was very good as well. We had the two piece and also the strips. The chicken is perfectly fried and very moist. Not greasy at all. Wish there were locations in so cal because KFC has nothing on this place.

I thought that the food here was pretty good. Ordered and then ate in the Amtrak dining car. I would order from here again.

The food is nothing special. But the customer service and cleanliness is abhorrent. The staff looks like they don’t care. Taking their sweet time and hair is messy. No energy and even when you smile they don’t smile back

Bojangles’ is probably not for the health-conscious, but it’s great for those who want a tasty piece of fried chicken on a buttery biscuit. I had two cajun filet biscuits and a country ham biscuit with some Bojangles’ hot sauce. I would eat Bojangles’ every morning for breakfast if it were socially acceptable. Great fried chicken, not horribly experience, and the service is great(especially considering you’re eating at the food court in Union Station.)

There’s a mess of places to eat here, good and bad. Fortunately, you know what you’re going to get a Bojangles: plenty of good, non greasy chicken tenders, awesome sweet tea and decent fries without having to pay much. We aren’t big on fast food, but when in need of a quick fix, this is suitable and much better than other competitors. The service at this location is sub par, however, compared to the dozens of other Bojangles we’ve been to.

I am not familiar with the menu here, but was seriously craving fried chicken. I wasn’t being THAT person, who goes into McDonald’s and spends 5 hours deciding on what they want, but I apparently I wasn’t moving fast enough for the gentleman who took my order, as he was«so nasty and so rude», to quote one of the Real Housewives of Atlanta. He would not let me finish my order without barking at me, like I thought he was channeling DMX there for a second, and would just give me the total before I was finished with the order. My boyfriend spoke with a manager, who was very nice, who informed me that the guy at the register was a manager himself, so basically, he should know better than to treat a customer like that. The chicken was delicious. The customer service was as dry as the dirty rice I had.

One of the most convenient Bojangles franchises, but not at all representative of Bojangles… Please don’t judge the rest of the Bojangles chain based on this one! It gets better! Firstly, as everyone has mentioned, the prices are expensive and they don’t give free sweet tea refills. This is understandable, as Union Station rent is likely to be more expensive… so basically it’s offset by the great convenience. Since moving north of North Carolina, this is one of the most accessible Bojangles for my non-Southern friends(and me). That said, I don’t understand why the food quality and customer service isn’t as good. Okay, maybe because they don’t have that Southern hospitality that emanates everywhere in North Carolina. But everything is less flavorful(where’s the cajun?), not as fresh(my fries were barely warm), and stingier(I swear the chicken is smaller here). In particular, my cajun filet biscuit was disappointing; the biscuit wasn’t that fluffy and light, and the filet was overcooked and not tender. This franchise needs to hold up the chain’s standards, or else all the Northerners won’t understand the true beauty of Bojangles! But if you’re never going to find yourself in the Carolinas, go ahead and try this one. It’s still good, but not anywhere as amazing as Bojangles can be in NC.

***Not the True Bojangles Experience*** After going to college in North Carolina for four years, I have had my fair share of Bojangles, and feel qualified to speak on the topic. In summary, this place is not the real thing. I got my standard 4 piece Supreme’s meal, which provides enough variety to be a fair representation of the quality of a particular Bojangles. Unfortunately, I was not impressed with the Union Station location. First of all, it cost me $ 8 plus tax(!!!), which is wayyy more than I’d pay back down South. I’ll break down the food: Chicken Supremes — The chicken was literally about half the size I have come to expect from the Supremes. I’m not sure if Bojangles sends their tiny pieces to train station locations approaching the Mason-Dixon line where people won’t know better or I was just unfortunate, but I got some seriously wimpy chicken strips. Cajun Fries — Did not have the Cajun seasoning or enough salt! They tasted mediocre and were cold. What’s the point of getting fries at Bojangles if they aren’t at all cajun flavored and at least have a little bit of grease and sodium? I added salt and pepper but they could only do so much. Biscuit — The biscuit was also a bit cold and hard and seemed small and lacking taste. Sweet Tea — Delicious as always. I’m giving this Bojangles a second star because: 1) It’s still a Bojangles approaching a region where Bojangles are relatively sparse. 2) Good service, food was quick, no other problems. Final Verdict: Only recommend visiting if you fit the following criteria: a) have never had Bojangles in your life b) aren’t going to the south any time soon c) don’t have time or the means to go to another Bojangles in the DMV d) are hungry while in Union Station. I’ve been to one of the ones in PG county and it was just like any other Bojangles in the South. By going to this Bojangles, you are prone to developing an inaccurate impression of what is perhaps the greatest fast food chain in our great country(not named Cook Out). I don’t say this lightly.

This restaurant started in my hometown of Charlotte, NC. Somehow they have not managed to expand into NoVa yet. In this area, Popeyes seems to try & offer similar food. I was delighted to learn they have a location on the lower level of Union Station in Washington, DC. Delicious chicken & cajun pintos, fast & friendly service.
