FedEx Office Print & Ship Center

Literally the woman just now was so rude that I am going to walk 4 blocks, in 30 degree weather, without a jacket, to not deal with her. All she kept saying was 8 up on a page sir. I think a business card is 3×2.5 sir. 8 up on a page sir. I’ve been to this place several times before and it wasn’t much better.

We came here to print a 40 page color document that needed bindings and covers. The employees were helpful and knew exactly what they were talking about. We emailed our document over and they happily took care of us in no time. The end product was excellent and professional and we were very pleased. The person that worked there greeted everyone that walked in and asked if he could assist in anyway when he was available. The prices were really expensive but for convenience and quality, it was worth it.

Poorest customer service I have received at any FedEX. The assistant name was Sherri: She was impatient and incompetent, despite the fact that I was the only customer there. She did not smile, made it very clear that she was annoyed when I did not have the phone number for the person I was sending the package to, and had an unnecessarily sassy attitude. Really annoyed at this poor customer service. FedEx you should know better …

If you want the worst service possible, make sure you come in the evening. I came Wednesday night at 8:45 pm and turns out the employee decided to take a 10 minute break. Another customer I lined up outside. 30 minutes later, this employee who claims to be Michael returns. He is so disrespectful, inefficient, and does not take any pride in his job. He did not help me with any of my boxes, gave me a form to fill out without a pen, worked on his own task while making me wait for him to get to my task for ten minutes, wrapped my package so poorly the wrap fell off on its way to the box, and has his headphones in while customers are waiting. Two customers were so upset with his behavior, they left while waiting. If this is how FedEx treats its customers, I have no doubt myself and others will go to UPS instead. Total scam because he wraps so poorly he wastes boxes over boxes and wraps. He charged me $ 700 for a package that has usually costed $ 250.

I just went in this evening to purchase some packing materials and was greeted by a nice, young gentleman. He asked if I needed any help, but I declined because I saw what I needed right away.
I’m giving give stars because of how quick and easy if was to buy the things I wanted (they had exactly what I was looking for: a mailing tube and some bubble wrap) and because of how friendly the employee was. I wish I got his name so I could give him a shout out!
Convenient location, plenty of mailing supplies, and friendly staff. Those are really all I am looking for in a FedEx store.

Seems like something is always broken here. I only come here to scan and print stuff because it’s close to me. I’d like it a lot more if they maintained their computers better.

What a scam! I was mailing 2 tubes of paper. The clerk said she’d put them in a box so they arrived together. I kept inquiring about price and emphasizing I wanted the cheapest delivery, no matter how slow.
It was $ 31 to mail the 3 lb total package, and the box she put them in was $ 15 alone! This is so ridiculous.
2 stars instead of 1 because she was nice while she ripped me off.

It’s really difficult to get someone to pick up the phone here. I needed some posters mounted but needed them done before I got to DC. I must have called at least 5 times before someone finally answered.
I ended up mailing my posters to the store and getting them mounted the day I arrived in DC, which was pretty simple and straightfoward.
The hardest part of the whole process was trying to talk to someone from the store!

This has got to be one of the worst FedExes around… My coworker and I came here to get some business cards printed, because we needed them ASAP. We brought a flash drive with us with our templates.
When we arrived, no one helped us. We stood there trying to get someone’s attention for at least 5 minutes. When someone came, he told us that they only had normal paper and cardstock for our cards, and if we wanted something better, we’d have to use a special computer. Someone was at the computer, so we continued to wait. When it was finally our turn, the computer couldn’t open our template. We used an Adobe InDesign template… So, we had to go back to the office and save it as a jpeg or gif file. Seriously — if you’re going to advertise business card printing, maybe you should accept more than 2 file formats!
So, we go back to FedEx, and now the computer is frozen. Then they inform us that we can do it online from
. So, that is what we do. I think we spent a little over $ 100, but when they came in, the red that we asked for was more of a salmon color, and my coworker’s cards all had a design from Golden Corral on them! On EVERY SINGLE ONE! It was like they hadn’t cleaned the printer or something. He ended up getting a refund, but we won’t use them again ever. What a waste of an afternoon!

Don’t go here. I have spent many of hours at kinkos, most of which were unproductive. When it’s the only option it’s worth the time, but we are lucky in DC because there are options. Go to copyrite down the street on 13^th and I. It’s a mom and pop store and believe me the walk will save you money and time.

A life saver. At first glance you might say overpriced for some things, but when you factor in location, convenience, and the fact that you dont have many other options, this place looks pretty good. That awful feeling you have when you get a few steps from the metro and realize you forgot to print those directions, or need to fax something before the office closes, or simply need a lanyard or ID holder for your badge on the first day of work… all is soothed by this place.

I like to print here all the time. Order online, pickup at the store, can’t get any easier than that! They will even call if they have any questions about printing and the work is always ready on time.
Not sure what else you could hope for, but this place delivers for me.
The only con I can see is that printing is expensive. But with a couple hours turnaround for my small projects, I can eat a little extra cost.

I had a really awful experience there shipping a package recently. After coming in with a quart size container full of brownies, they were out of the appropriate sized box and I had to get the next size up.
The woman at the counter offered to help me pack it and then disappeared into the back. The manager repeatedly told me that the woman would be right back. But I ended up waiting for 20 minutes.
After I complained, the manager took over, told me I couldn’t ship the brownies by ground because they were perishable, and told me the cheapest air freight service would be $ 30.
I ended up spending 40 minutes in Fedex just to hear that they would charge me an unreasonable amount of money to ship a very tiny box.
Someone should have told me right away that they’d have to be shipped by air and that they would be expensive. Instead, I wasted 40 minutes in the middle of the work day because the staff, including the manager, couldn’t get their act together.
This was totally unacceptable service and I will avoid this store. I’d suggest you do the same.

Thanks to the team at this Fed Ex Office, including Christian and John, for working beyond the call of duty to get my two posters ready for the «Rally to Restore Sanity and/​or Fear.» The entire staff was tirelessly friendly and accommodating to all us out-​of-​towners who waited until the day before to swamp FedEx Office with our same-​day requests. You performed magnificently and, as a result, we had great-​looking posters, and had a fantastic time at the Rally.

The FedEx Office at 1400 K Street NW in Washington DC has become a reliable stop when I need large print jobs taken care of quickly and professionally in a short amount of time. The staff that I have worked with have always been helpful and on the rare occasion when they have made a mistake, they quickly take care of the issue and call my office to let me know that it’s been resolved to my satisfaction. Combining the shipping with the printing makes sending seminar books and projects printed there easy. The staff does occasionally seem overtaxed, but they have never treated me rudely, even from my first project, over 2 years ago. If you have a small business and need professional printing and shipping, this FedEx office delivers the goods.

After finding out the FedEx Kinko’s dedicated shipping center on New York Ave. doesn’t open until noon on weekdays (how can that make business sense?!), I walked over to this location. After going to the counter to try and ship a next day letter, I was rudely told to fill out a form to the side. The store was empty at this time. I wouldn’t have minded filling out the form, I just don’t know if I needed to be rudely sassed so the worker could go back to her ever-​so-​important conversation in the back. Anyways, they got the package there the next day, so 3 stars for that, and I only had to be in the store for about 5 minutes to get this all done. Plus they conveniently had food trucks at the park across the street.

When in doubt, there’s always a FedEx Kinko’s. It’s truly a love-​hate relationship out of necessity. On one hand, prices are just outrageously expensive. On the other hand, however, where else are you going to turn? The downtown Kinko’s near Logan Circle has always been a last-​minute clutch. I’ve never had a problem with equipment when I was there (maybe I’m just lucky). The staff is helpful (although mildly abrasive sometimes). And the store is kept rather clean. I remember coming in at 2:30 PM on New Year’s Eve and they were able to take care of a last minute order by 5:30 PM. They did charge me a rush fee for something they normally wouldn’t charge but, what the heck, it was New Year’s Eve. The end results are always good too. So for what it’s worth, Kinko’s is A-​OK.
