We ordered food for a work event and everyone commented on how delicious and fresh everything tasted. It’s a little more expensive than other places but so worth it. We will definitely order again and often.

Great food and location. My first time here and went for the Kafta Kabob platter. Owner really makes an effort to know his patrons.

Pretty good gyro meat and fries. The pita bread was thin but not bad. Kids chicken tenders were as expected.

Wanted to grab pizza with my family before hitting Zoo Lights but ended up stumbling upon this little gem. We had three active little girls and six adults and the seating was perfect to sit us all comfortably. The chicken fingers were great for the kids and the adults shared several platters of hummus, pita, tabouli, baba ganoush, and falafel. Met the needs for the vegetarians and omnivores in our group and the food was all delicious. The platters were practically licked clean. The girls left some chicken finger chunks on the floor and when I asked for a napkin to clean up, the gentleman at the counter insisted that he would take care of everything. Great ambience and an overall very positive experience.

We just moved to the area and got the menu from our building’s front desk. The food was really good, we got the mixed platter and chicken platter, as well as the baba ghanouj as an appetizer. My fiancé was a little disappointed in the portion sizes for meat in the platters, but everything tastes great. The basmati rice is delicious and so was their hummus. Definitely will be ordering again.

If you want to be ignored for 10 minutes at the counter by the man who is too busy taking phone orders, and then finally get your mediocre food, this place is for you. Save yourself a trip and go to the much better Byblos across the street

The food is normally great and service is really good in the restaurant. So why the 2 stars? The delivery experience was terrible. The delivery took an hour and half to arrive and I live 1 block away! When it did arrive, it was soggy, greasy and cold. Like it had been sitting in a car for a while. The delivery guy handed me the bag hurriedly, full of grease with half of the food falling out because the box was flipped upside down. I kid you not. Took away my appetite immediately. It’s a shame because I used to buy takeout here at least once a week and I thought the restaurant was great as one of the few takeout spots in CP that stays open relatively late, but the delivery was really disappointing.

Disappointed. Byblos was closed, so I decided to try Fresh Med. I got the Chicken Schwarma, fries, and baklava. Pros: the fries were good. Cons: everything else. I was told the schwarma was made with chicken KABOB, however, when I got home and opened the sandwich(which was barely wrapped, greasy, falling apart), I discovered that it was really sautéed bites of under seasoned meat. It was pretty tasteless, as was the tatziki sauce I added to it(which cost me 50 cents). I’m not really sure why Fresh Med would expressly tell me it was a kabob, when it wasn’t anything close to a kabob. The baklava was tough, soggy and tasted burnt. I couldn’t eat it. I had to throw it in the trash. The NUTS were even soggy. Again, the fries were good, but for $ 2.75, they should probably give you more than a baby’s handful. Avoid this place. Byblos is MUCH better. They’re generous with portion size and they don’t nickel and dime you for sauce.

I love Greek cuisine, and this is wonderful. The Gyro is awesome and I love the Lebnah. The Hummus is so smooth and creamy. Prices are pretty good and the atmosphere is nice and casual. Great little find.

Consistently great food. I really like the chicken gyro, regular gyro, and chicken Philly. The fatoush salad is great as well. I do not recommend the kibbi pie. Buffalo wings are very good. Delivery often takes 45 minutes.

I usually get the chicken platter and it’s always delicious. Today I tried the lentil soup & it was pretty good too. This is definitely one of my go-to places to eat in Cleveland Park. The prices are very reasonable too.

Terrible delivery service. Waited over an hour to get my food. After two phone calls, they said they already delivered it which was not the case. I do not recommend this place.

I live in Cleveland Park and have eaten everywhere. When it comes to casual eats, Fresh Med is the best. I like it much better than Byblos. The food is very good, and excellent value for the price. I go there a lot. My favorite is the steak and cheese sandwich. It’s basically a cheesesteak hoagie, and it’s delicious. The chicken cheesesteak is similarly good. Fresh Med also does a very good gyro(it’s no Greek Spot gyro, but better than the Byblos gyro, which I find too greasy). I’ve also had the shawarma sandwiches, lamb kabab, and several of the vegetarian sandwiches including the falafel, cauliflower, and eggplant. I like them all. The one thing on the menu I was a little disappointed with was the pizza. It was decent, but if you’re in the mood for pizza I recommend going next door to Vace.

Just sub par to be honest. There are better Greek options in this city, and their prices seem high for the quality of food you get. My lunch totaled almost $ 13 for rather bland food. What little taste their was tasted off, and my stomach agreed a few hours later. The place is clean, their fries are good, but the chicken gyro was mediocre at best, and small for the $ 6 I paid for it. Their deli options looked a lot better, and if I ever stop by again I’ll probably get some to go.

Generally I like the great food, reasonable prices, and good customer service. Specifically, I love that they have a fried cauliflower w/tahini wrap. Vegetarian options are often the same bland combination at every place. There are thousands of plants you can put in a sandwich/wrap yet it’s always the same cheap ingredients. So I was thrilled to see fried cauliflower with a good sauce and other veggies thrown in. They fry it right after you order, so I know it takes more effort than most places would care to expend, but I appreciate the effort– and it’s only $ 5.95! I will definitely be back.

I’m Middle Eastern, so I would say I know my Mediterranean food well enough to give this place 4 stars. I work in DC and have placed orders for delivery several times for for lamb kabab sanwiches and one freshmed sandwich and once for a meat gyro. Delivery is fast. The meat is marinated well, generous portions in the pita, and the pita is fresh. My fave among all is the labab kabab sandwich. Their tabouleh is super good too. Their spinach pies are good BUT they probably make them in large bunches and freeze them and then microwave them per order, so they don’t taste like they are right out of the oven BUT they are still alright. Good enough. I haven’t tried anything else from Freshmed but this is an excellent option for delivery, especially in a town like DC(food is yucky around here). Thanks Freshmed!

I need to stop ordering from this place! While the dolmas and baba ganoush are good, the Greek salad is absolutely revolting! I order Greek chicken salads pretty regularly at other places and for around the same price I get nicely cooked, well-seasoned chicken and fresh produce. However, Fresh Med delivered an appalling salad with old lettuce, soft, disgusting tomatoes and even the olives looked old! The chicken tasted like the Foster Farm’s strips that they sell at the store, AKA also disgusting! Additionally, the dressing is definitely right out of the bottle and I trashed it immediately after sampling it. Never again!
