Went there for what we thought was a sushi place for dinner. Interesting restaurant. Before we even got to the door, a panhandler approached us. Went inside and see a bar. Okay. Where is the restaurant? Asked the friendly bartender. It’s upstairs or downstairs. Went up. No one there besides two women who came in earlier, also approached by the panhandler. Looked at the menu. We thought this was a Japanese restaurant. Well, it is. Sort of. It had a lot of different type of ethnic dishes on the menu as though it was trying out all types of food. I went to the ladies room since I needed to wash the day’s tourist travels off my hands before eating. One stall door had tape where the lock should have been. Oh, yeah. Solid performance last night with our sushi rolls, I must say, so even though I am really thinking the score is more reflective of a 3.75, I rounded up for the ambience and the sushi. Fujimar, the upstairs, was actually closed, so I will cross this with Lima as well so that they get their just due. One of my gal pals and I met up for sushi and drinks and really had an amazing time on their patio. I will say that although the cushions are plush, I really would like for them to be steam cleaned because they looked a bit grody. We ordered the dragon roll with salmon and the scallop rolls and they were amazing, both were DELICIOUS and came with 10 pieces per roll which made for beautiful presentation. Did I mention how beautiful the weather was last night? As for the drinks, I ordered a Lima something or the other(first one on the menu) which had Tanqeray Gin(I changed it to Bombay Sapphire), St. Germain, Ginger syrup and I believe some lemongrass(lemonade??). It should have been perfection, and it was only halfway there. Maybe too much ice, maybe not enough gin, either way it was just so-so. I was unimpressed, however, that did not stop me from having three! :) The ambience and the sushi really made this night. if you go for drinks, I would stick to wine or things on the rocks. Cocktail wise, both my friend and I agreed it was not the way to go!
