I would give this place zero stars if Unilocal would let me. Fortunately, the place is now out-of-business. I guess the staff, who were almost all incompetent, were sent to be employed by Park. Most of them aren’t even competent to valet park cars at Park, especially the skinny mortician-looking guy who used to stand at the front door chiseling everybody for cover charge until he closed the doors of Lima permanently. He put Lima six feet under, like a good mortician. He did his job well.

STAYAWAY! Went to Lima lounge last night on NYE(2015) and unfortunately, had one of the worst nights of my life. The customer service you get, if any is 0. There’s absolutely no coordination. I had requested to see a manager to explain my dissatisfaction with the service of the bouncers and the bartenders or whatever the girls walking around were. The first time, I asked one of the girls and she screamed she was not a Lima employee, but a park employee” and walked off without even giving me the chance to explain why I was asking for one… when I went to a bouncer… he gave the same answer«He was not a Lima employee, but a park employee». I didn’t understand how that can affect my request to see a manager. I would expect if park is having a party at Lima and has their employees then I would expect their service and manager would be the same as park. The music was whack, nothing but rap and hip hop all night. Customer service sucks and they didn’t coordinate anything when leasing their space to park. I’m not sure if the employees were really park employees. The service I have gotten at prk has been positive in the past so I’m not sure how or why it would change with the venue. They don’t know how to control their drunk customers, fights were occurring and nothing was being done about it. The list can go on… take my word and STAYAWAY if you don’t want to ruin your night!

Bartender name’s Yuri tried to steal my money thinking I’m drunk. At one point I order 2 Hennessy on the rocks. He did an uneven pour. So I ask him why my glass so little Hennessy inside(not even a shot). He correct the situation by grab my friend glass, pour it in my glass after my friend took a sip. Bad Service! He end up get no tips. I regret tipping him the first few round.

If I could, I would give this place a Zero. My fiancé and I were having a great night out, and we thought as our last stop before heading home we would go here. It was weird from the get go, but the reason for my zero is that they lost my jacket in the coat check. Correction. They gave away my grandmothers vintage jacket to someone, and no one cared ATALL. The coat check girl finally got, who I assumed was a manager. He handed me(and another gentleman-who they lost his coat also) his card but barely offered any condolences. My fiancé and I have been calling and emailing for over TWOWEEKS. Finally someone answered and said oh he hasn’t called back yet? Said he would call us Wednesday when they opened. STILLNOWORD. What kind of business is this? Losing people’s jackets when it’s 28 degrees out and then not following up with them? Incredibly disappointed and disheartened.

Been here a couple of times the atmosphere is pretty cool. Food is just ok and over priced you can get better food in DC at a way cheaper price other places. The staff is completely RUDE! I totally get that we all have bad days but I’ve experienced the attitude worker practically every time I’ve been here. Hookah is over priced and not that great… I give up on this place and I’ll no longer come back! Save your money!

Do not come to this place! They are the most prejudice establishment I have ever been in! They targeted a man who was wearing a sweatshirt and was only enjoying a drink with some friends. The man ended up being homeless but still having a valid ID. However, he was asked to leave even though no one was causing any problems. How dare they kick a man out without any cause and threat him to call the police for no reason other than wearing a sweatshirt when other guest were wearing similar outfits! By far, the worst place I have ever been in. They completely have no ethics and morals!

My experience at Lima was weird and sad. I went for a friends birthday and he got table service. There was some mix up with the reservation as our table wasn’t ready or there was a problem with the reservation. For some reason, a few guys had to go get cash before we were allowed to sit down. I could tell that the wait staff were not thrilled to be there. They did not smile as they brought the fiery champagne bottles to the table. But they did smile for pics with the birthday boy, which was very nice. I did not enjoy the random girl who managed to our table and start drinking the vodka. It was really awkward because no one knew who she was, but we were too polite to say anything. She got too drunk and fell down. The entire night felt chaotic and poorly planned. And I wasn’t feeling the music. But I think other nights at Lima are more fun.

Went on a Thursday night. Loved the classy bar atmosphere. DJ played lot’s of rap,(which I enjoy) and mainstream hip hop. Hookah was good, drink were good, and the atmosphere was again, just the turn up I needed on a Thursday night. The outdoor patio was great and I wish more people would’ve been on the dance floor downstairs, but I’ll definitely go back!

Great resturant — bar. I had the short ribs and a Titos vodka martin. The short ribs are amazing, «melted in my mouth». Succulent and we’ll flavored, my mouth watered for more… From the hostess to the bartender, the service is-was impeccable. A great spot in DC, will return.

So after I wrote my last review of this place, I received a rather strange private message(quoted below — complete with grammatical and spelling errors, perhaps he was drunk when he sent me the message?) from Peter S. After doing a little bit of research, I was able to figure out that this person is the Event Marketing Manager of Lima Lounge according to his LinkedIn page. If a manager of this place is as unprofessional and inappropriate as the private message indicates, then this is definitely a business I would never patronize and would not recommend it to anyone. Message I received from Peter S.: «dont ever call lima staff skanky fyi just the look of you in your profile pic says is all. you could barley spell the word skanky the best you could do. now disappear! thats an order.»

Solid performance last night with our sushi rolls, I must say, so even though I am really thinking the score is more reflective of a 3.75, I rounded up for the ambience and the sushi. Fujimar, the upstairs, was actually closed, so I will cross this with Lima as well so that they get their just due. One of my gal pals and I met up for sushi and drinks and really had an amazing time on their patio. I will say that although the cushions are plush, I really would like for them to be steam cleaned because they looked a bit grody. We ordered the dragon roll with salmon and the scallop rolls and they were amazing, both were DELICIOUS and came with 10 pieces per roll which made for beautiful presentation. Did I mention how beautiful the weather was last night? As for the drinks, I ordered a Lima something or the other(first one on the menu) which had Tanqeray Gin(I changed it to Bombay Sapphire), St. Germain, Ginger syrup and I believe some lemongrass(lemonade??). It should have been perfection, and it was only halfway there. Maybe too much ice, maybe not enough gin, either way it was just so-so. I was unimpressed, however, that did not stop me from having three! :) The ambience and the sushi really made this night. if you go for drinks, I would stick to wine or things on the rocks. Cocktail wise, both my friend and I agreed it was not the way to go!

Came here this past weekend as a part of my bachelorette weekend celebration. We had a group of 10 for their $ 35 brunch buffet and it was certainly worth it. The food was delicious and plentiful… you can have fresh sushi made to order! The staff was attentive and polite. There’s even some great music to accompany brunch… at times it felt like being in a club sans the dancing. This definitely seems like the kind of place that would cater to a more young and hip crowd so if that describes you, this is your place! The bottomless mimosas were delicious. At one point I decided I didn’t want anymore but they’re so quick that they’d always have my glass filled back up before I knew it was even happening. Can’t wait to come back!

I’ve been meaning to review for this place for quite a while. Okay for one I’ve never eaten here. Not because I don’t like the food it’s because I haven’t gotten it opportunity. Would I eat here eat here probably. Usually when I frequent this establishment I’m on a liquid diet. ;) Honestly I come here for the music the dance floor and an adult beverage. The music is usually electronic which is great in my book since I’m an electro nerd. The patrons are usually friendly maybe a bit pervy but that’s every where. The bartenders a nice cute and friendly. They are fast and efficient. Ladies the one bouncer no matter how cute you are he will not let you in without laying out the cheddar. Kind of makes me wonder what team he’s pitching for but it’s none of my business and nor would I care. Tip the African lady who works in the bathroom she’s very friendly and very nice. As for the attendant in the men’s bathroom I have no idea. The valet will set you back about 30 bucks. Entrance in to the club another $ 20. Drinks about 10 bucks a pop. Oh and dudes leave the Nike’s and dunks at home! If you are looking hood and kind of scrubby and the place is packed chances are you might not be let in. Yes«face check“exists in DC. Oh and also if you appear underage or have a fake ID get ready to take the walk of shame. A lot of people say this venue is pretentious. I’ve been here too many times and have too many good memories so five stars from me.

Awesome bar area, very nice diverse crowd, and a very nice outside patio sitting area. I came here shortly after leaving DC Coast to have a cigar and a few drinks on the patio. I must say that drinks were just ok(very watered down) and our services was average. I did enjoy the scenery on the patio and I hear that this place is rocking on the weekends. Unfortunately I was here on a monday so I didn’t get a chance to see the more festive side of Lima. I would recommend this place but be aware that the service is pretty average.

Late night review only. Came in on a recent Saturday night to celebrate a friend’s birthday and a decent time was had. Two floor layout with the bottom floor being the place to be. They also have a heated outside patio if you care to take a break from the music or crowd. Music was okay, standard, modern hip hop mixed with a decent amount of old school if you feel the need to reminisce to your youth. Crowd was mixed, I noticed all races and ethnicity and one group didn’t appear to stand out over any other. Drinks are overpriced and weak so don’t waste the time or money. All in all worth a visit especially if you can get in without paying a cover.

This brunch didn’t quite meet my expectations… In fact I think it’s safe to say it was a complete let down. Bottomless mimosas are pretty much just orange juice with a smidget of champagne. The plates are so small I had to ask for two just for the first round, which is awkward, but everyone knows that the best part of a brunch buffet is that first plate, piled high with various eats. So instead I had to divide the first part of my meal into two. The food is mediocre… either over-cooked, under-salted, cold, dry… The service was good(hence the extra star) but other than that, it wasn’t a very good dining experience. I will definitely not be back.

I’m not sure if I should say this but whatever: if you got yellow fever you’ll like this place. If you like overpriced lounges, you will dig this place. If you like a habenero ginger gimlet, you’ll be content here. Top 40 music via the DJ. A certain demographic predominates here. Overall, not a bad place to get your dance on.

The service is terrible, waitresses skanky, bartenders rude, customers creepy, and music lousy, but the DRINKSAREFREE on Monday nights for ladies from 9 – 11! You’ll have to go to the bar if you’re getting free drinks – the waitress(whose genitalia I could almost see hanging out of her dress) is «not allowed» to serve you but didn’t give any further explanation.

Lima is a really awesome lounge. I visited briefly for happy hour on a Friday afternoon before I went to another event. It’s a very large, airy bar, with a couple levels. The wine is pretty awesome and they have good deals for happy hour cocktails. I’ve only been here for happy hour, so I can’t speak as to the clubbing /nighttime experience.

We got to Lima super early last Friday because everyone met up right after work to start a birthday celebration. Since we were the first people at the bar on the first floor, we got great service. I like the pretty large space, the décor, and I appreciate that the staff is attractive. OK, I’m kidding about the last thing. HAHA My friend said Friday was actually Margarita Day, so I ordered the Lima Margarita as well as a mango one. The both tasted OK, and the mango was on the sweet side, as expected. Unfortunately, the alcohol was pretty weak in both, so I ordered a Buddha’s Passion which is Stoli O, Passion Fruit Purée, Champagne, and Grenadine. This drink tasted fine as well and, again, the alcohol was pretty low in it. If you’ve been following my posts, you know I’m a lightweight. After these three drinks, I could have had 3 more — and would still have been able to do some math problems without issue, and I don’t mean cuz I’m Asian. Anyway… Forget about the weak drinks though. Lima got me with their food. The guac was tasty and I actually liked the crisper than usual chips that came along with it. The wings were cooked well, but they weren’t anything special. My fave, by far, was the grilled calamari. Since I was sharing calamari with the hubs, I knew I had to eat pretty fast so I could eat more than him. Sad, but true. In fact, the food was tasty enough that I already have plans to go back for dinner. In all, the time we spent at Lima was fun, with ample amount of space for such a large group(20 or so), with friendly, timely service — and we only left because the plan was always to end the celebration at another venue. It was absolutely no reflection on Lima.
