I downloaded the McDonald’s app and I like to cash in my app coupons here — free classic egg mcmuffin when the caps or wizards are ahead in the first quarter. Free egg mcmuffin + breakfast served all day is a pretty sweet deal! Go Caps and Wizards! I’ve been here during the busy lunch hour and during off-peak hours as well… Service is quicker during the busy lunch hour. I could speculate as to why, but I won’t. The last egg mcmuffin I got here was a little burnt on the corner(pictured), but I can’t complain too much because it was free. While the egg mcmuffin isn’t my choice breakfast item, it’s filling and an easy grab-and-go meal. Because this McDonald’s is open 24/7, there is the occasional panhandler/beggar outside, but that’s to be expected in the city. There’s free WiFi here and plenty of upstairs seating if you want to eat in — I’ve found the upstairs seating to be more pleasant than the hustling and bustling first floor.

Its mcdonalds you know their fare is terrible. 5 stars because of the huge dining area upstairs thats got AC. Get yourself a dollar sweet tea, go upstairs and relax for a few.

We were able to quickly order and get our food. This location is near my house. The employees are always nice. The factor you can’t plan is the customers. Some of them are really weird. Apparently you also have to be a bouncer to work at this location. The employees do a decent job of keeping the«off’ crowd from ruining a visit.

Tons of homeless people begging for money both inside and outside the dining area. We came in for cold ice tea on a hot day(mother’s day). The tea was improperly labeled as made at 9:15pm on the day we came in despite only being 2pm. The tea read the same thing the day before and was still horribly stale. They obviously set their labels ahead to fudge time frames. When we brought the stake tea to the male manager’s attention he literally looked at us, shrugged, and turned his back. He walked away and went about his business completely ignoring his customers. I wanted to ask for a refund to annoy him and maybe get him to realize he should have offered a solution but my companions were thirsty and willing to alter their choice of beverage.

Horrible experiences! I sometimes come in around 4 – 5 am since its one of the only places open nearby at that time. It has been dirty every time and the tables and chairs are stained. On one morning some friends and I went to go get breakfast just before 4. when we entered the restaurant the cashier told us that the computer system would be down for a few minutes. So we sat down and decided to wait since nothing else was open nearby. There was a security guard lounging by the counter on her cell phone with headphones in. After about 5 minutes she came over to us and informed us that their computer system was down and that since we couldn’t order any food, we could not sit in the restaurant and wait and would have to leave. It was about 20 degrees outside so instead of waiting aroudn we just left. It was absolutely unbelievable. Another morning I ordered a flavored specialty coffee, the Caramel Mocha. My food was done before my coffee so I sat down to eat and waited for my drink to be made. One of the workers walked over to the McCafe and started making a drink that I assumed was mine. However when she was done she simply set it on the counter and walked away, not saying it was ready or calling the order number-nothing. she just walked back to the kitchen. There were other people in the restaurant still waiting on food so I wasn’t sure if it was mine or possibly one of theirs. After waiting a minute to see if someone else would take it or maybe the girl would come back and call a number, I finally got up and looked myself. My order number was taped to it. stupid service. but at least the drink was nice.

It’s not a bad McDonald’s as far as McDonald’s go. Service is hit or miss, and food is usually served fairly quick and the place is also fairly clean whenever I go there. The biggest problem I have with this location is that there is always, and I mean always, someone panhandling for change. I don’t mind giving some change here and there, but you obviously can’t give it to everyone, all the time, so just knowing that I’m going to be panhandled when I get near this location makes me weary to go.

I’m feeling pretty trashy right now for thinking this is a great McDonald’s location. I went in and thought it was so clean and everyone was so friendly, etc. Based on the other reviews for here, I guess I have really low standards. I stumbled upon this location after getting off at the Metro Center stop. Because corporate marketing has worn me down over the years, as soon as I saw a sign for McDonalds, I got a little hungry. Justifying it with a «I didn’t eat breakfast today and it’s already lunch time!» I stopped in. It was really empty. There was a family sitting on a table in the corner, but that’s about it. Deciding if I wanted to get full-on nasty here with an entire meal, or just sorta nasty with some dollar menu pickings, I studied the menu for a good 5 minutes. During that time, I was asked by the woman at the register three times if I was ready to be helped.(I say that as a good thing. I’m glad that she was so set on providing great customer service.) Anyway, I decided to get sorta nasty and got a large fries, large drink, and a four piece nuggets. Everything was ready before I could put my wallet away. Usually when my food is given to me that quickly, it means that everything was sitting out for a while and my food was going to be cold. Dejected, I took a seat(carefully avoiding the melted ice cream cone on the floor that no one either noticed or bothered to clean up). Picking up a fry, I noticed it was crispy and hot. Intrigued, I bit into it and found that I wasn’t given old food. What kind of witchcraft can produce«fresh» McDonald’s food this quickly?! I was amazed. I don’t know if I came on a really good day or what. I did come in the early afternoon(probably between rushes as it was empty) on a weekend. Nonetheless, this was a pretty great experience at a McDonald’s. Hot food, no kids running around, and a clean table(the floor was questionable). I still can’t believe it.

The food and the service need some improvements along with management an need better customer service skills but in Saturday mornings the older lady that works there is very nice and great with everyone, everyone else sucks.

lets face it, even though the food quality is mediocre at best, mcd’s is usually there for me when i need it. after struggling to park the car at a nearby parking ramp there it was. we were able to use restrooms and found ample seating space upstairs. it also helped that we found coupons and utilized the dollar menu. so this was the little pick me up we needed to begin our dc visit which featured far better experiences till we left, ending with another convenient visit at mcd’s.

I despise this location, probably the most. They are usually pretty quick with service, but like a few other McD’s in the city(Metro Center), the prices are a higher than other franchises and they charge for condiments. I don’t understand how that is even legal to charge someone for condiments if they purchase food, but I’ve complained to corporate about it. Every time I want a chicken sandwich or chicken biscuit I’m charged for«extra sauce» because I want barbecue sauce. How is it «extra» when I haven’t received any complimentary sauce with my meal? They say sauce is only for nuggets; WTF?! An employee has also handed me my food while talking on her cell phone –on the job– seriously. Like another reviewer said, this location helps to re-enforce my McD’s boycott.

McDonald’s isn’t exactly fine dining, but hey, it’s(generally) consistent, and if you work near by and are desperate for something that can be ready in 90 seconds or less so you can spend the rest of your lunch break doing something else, it’s usually better than not eating. Usually, but not always. This location is filthy, the locks on the bathroom doors are broken, and I found hair + what appeared to be glitter(???) in my food. Never, ever again. I’d rather starve. Next time I need a quick fix running late for a meeting, I’ll just grab some pre-prepared food from Harris Teeter.

There are two things this McD’s has going for it: 1) it’s close to my apartment and 2) it’s open 24 hours. And there’s basically just two reasons I patronize this McD’s: 1) I’m really hungry and nothing else is open and 2) it’s cheap. There are a few things to note about this location: — The restrooms do not actually require change or tokens to enter despite the door handles indicating such. — It’s a hangout for homeless people. — After midnight, you can only order meals. No getting just a regular cheeseburger or something. As far as McD’s locations go, this is a rather sucky one. But I’m rounding up and giving it an extra star because of the convenience — both proximity to my apartment and it being open 24 hours a day. Bottom line: it’s got everything else other McD’s have and it’s open 24 hours. Did I mention yet that it’s open 24 hours a day? Yep, that would be the major attribute of this location.

Really limited seating, and you need a token to use the bathroom. However when I asked for one, she said it was open. Line moves pretty fast and food comes out in a decent amount of time.

McDonald’s is one of my favorite fast food restaurants, and I have always had good experiences at this particular one. Notable things about this one: –Fantastic speed and line management — yes, McDonald’s is usually known for this, but this restaurant gets jam-packed during lunch time and I am usually amazed at how quickly they serve me here. –Good space: it is really crowded downstairs, but they have a nice upstairs area that is calm, not hectic, and clean where you can sit and have a pleasant meal and look out the window. –Friendly staff: I have never had a bad experience with the staff here or even a mediocre experience –the staff has always been friendly and smiling and helpful. Also, they often give out free pies, probably ones that are about to expire and they haven’t been able to sell them. Perk! The only negatives about this place are the bathrooms are not so clean, and the exterior of the restaurant is a prime spot for hecklers. Those annoying Greenpeace hecklers always choose to stand around and harass people right by the door of the McDonalds, driving me away from this area. Barf. Go away!

FYI this location finally put in the McCafe«bar» so you don’t have to get in the food line for your java fix. This, and one other reason, is the only justification for me rating it with stars. I only found out when this past Mon there was a promo to try their hot or iced mocha for free. I went in the morning 7am to be exact to order the hot version and requested the non-fat which apparently is an option according to what I read in two places:(1) the BIG banner marketing the mocha drink located beside their menu, and(2) the menu located beside the BIG banner marketing the mocha drink. Anyways the lady behind the counter said, «we’re out of non-fat.» wtf? i grudgingly requiesed but requested no chocolate sauce and no whip cream but kept the chocolate drizzle. I rarely ever eat @ McDonald’s and if i do, it’s their side salad. I won’t rag on the place as we all know about the kind of food sold there. Oh, the other reason is because it’s in a nice location near my work and if you head upstairs to the dining room, you can get a really nice view of the intersection heading to the Obama residence.

This McDonald’s will forever hold a special place in my heart. After dinner on U St and a non-trivial amount of alcohol in DuPont, we head towards Metro Center to depart for the night. But before we can get to Metro Center, someone decides they must pee and so we make our way into this McDonalds. Apparently many people do the same thing we were doing as this McDonalds has signs posted«Bathrooms for paying customers only.» Whatever. I’ve paid my dues to McD’s corporate over the years. Nonetheless, I pretend to study the menu as if I’m about to order something. So I’m standing there, trying to keep my distance from the fellow pacing around and spraying his shoes with some indeterminate liquid while yelling for the elephants to leave him alone. Luckily some jackass is arguing with an employee about how he deserves fries with his dollar-menu cheeseburger(as if 99 cents for a burger isn’t already disgustingly cheap), so I am never called upon to actually buy food. Then a Mexican gentleman comes up to me and says«You need to use the bathroom.» I was slightly confused since this was expressed to me in the form of a statement rather than a question. Regardless, I replied«No, I don’t need to use the restroom.» He answered«No, you don’t understand. Go in the bathroom.» I look at him inquisitively. «Just do it. Go open the door and check it out.» Uhhhh… «Come on man, take a look and let me know what you think.» Why I listened to this guy, I’ll never know, but I figured what the eff and opened the bathroom door… … to the sight of a fat black man, naked as the day he was born, passed out on the floor. I mean, he had not one single article of clothing on his body. Actually, he had on some adidas socks. God forbid he get his feet dirty. The image is so vividly ingrained in my mind, I have to wonder how long I stood there soaking in the details of this immaculate scene. But it couldn’t have been more than a fraction of a second from my opening the door to jumping back in disgust. As I peer back at the Mexican guy with a head shake and a sly grin on my face, I note that he and his buddy are having a nice chuckle at my reaction. I, too, look back upon this experience and have a good laugh. I give this McDonald’s 4 stars(and check the«Good for kids? — NO!» box) for providing me one of my more interesting experiences in DC and the graphic memories to accompany it.

Recessions make you do crazy things, like walking darn near a mile for a $ 2 lunch from Le Mikey Donald’s. This one is faster and friendlier than its counterpart on 13th& F. McDonald’s, thanks for your dollar menu. It was like you could see into the future of awful financial times. And thank you for contributing to my gaining 6 pounds in 3 weeks. Looks like your dollar menu and I are about to get way more acquainted.

McDonald’s is McDonald’s, but what I like about this McDonald’s is that it is one of the only McD’s that still have strawberry sundaes. Go during the lunch hour and there’s ample seating with seating on the 2nd floor. I like the view of the street from up there. Beware of the bums outside though. They’re also super quick during the lunch hour, a lot quicker than a lot of other McD’s I’ve ever been to.

I like this McDonald’s because it validated my McDonald’s strike. Next month will mark my six year no McDonald’s anniversary, and I never would have kept it up without this particular McDonald’s. I’ve never been a big fan of McDonald’s, but when I realized that I hadn’t eaten there in 5 years*, I started feeling the desire to go. Even worse, I kept passing this giant McDonald’s on my way to work that looked much nicer than any other McDonald’s I’ve seen before. I’d made the decision to go. I was walking towards it, when I saw a guy walk out. He was walking towards me eating a burger, and a giant piece fell off and onto the(busy) sidewalk. He picked it up and ate it. I was disgusted, and it got rid of any inkling of a desire I might have had to eat there again ever. Now, every time I think of McDonalds, I think of that man. *with the exception of apple pie
