Very nice Restaurant Week dinner! A classic steakhouse. The Restaurant Week price for a three course dinner was basically the same as the cost for a regular entrée. Portions were the same! If you care, the décor is dated with chrome and mirrors. Music was too loud. Extensive wine list. Some offerings in the $ 50 — $ 70 range were excellent. Starters of Lobster Bisque, Caesar Salad, and loaf-o-bread were great. Entrees of Petit Filet and Double Cut Porkchop were fantastic even though the Porkchop was a bit salty and undercooked. Both paired well with the(self-poured) Zinfandel we ordered. Spuds were perfect but green beans were overcooked. Desserts were mediocre — Key Lime Pie was custardy and Chocolate Mousse was milky. Adan was mostly an attentive server but there was some confusion with their team service approach.

I recently had my first meal in several years, and loved it. The cajun ribeye was perfect, the sides(asparagus ans au gratin potatoes) were excellent, and the dessert was delicious. Also, the service was excellent. In my last review I mentioned that the atmosphere isn’t all that, and while that may be true, the food more than makes up for it. I wish the prices were lower so I could eat here more often.

The waitstaff and food was excellent. We were made to feel welcomed and were served at a nice timely fashion. I would highly recommend the Caesar salad and petite fillet mignon. The bacon mac & cheese side was a bit too heavy and I would not recommend that. But the key lime pie for dessert was excellent. I could just go on and on about this restaurant being absolutely wonderful and a great choice for anyone who likes a good steak dinner!

I forgot my Louis Vuitton sunglasses inside the restaurant when I called the restaurant I told the lady who answered about my issue and I described my sunglasses to her, and she conformed that she have them but when I went to the restaurant in the next day I surprised when the manager told me he doesn’t have them! And he told me he will call me back as soon as he have them. Since that time no one call me back also I kept calling the manager and also he confirmed that my sunglasses was in the restaurant as the stuff says. Unfortunately, when I delivered my issue to the head office they told they aren’t responsible about losing stuff inside the restaurant even I told them about the manager confirmation and staff they denied. My sunglasses hasn’t have legs to walk out side the restaurant so where are they? Any way I can’t trust that restaurant again in any where so do my friends and family because they are unfaithful.

I got engaged this weekend! I am so overjoyed, and I want to shout it from the Unilocaly rooftops. And considering that Morton’s played an incredible role in the festivities, it is fitting to share at least a small part of this wonderful story here. With my birthday being around the corner, I was surprised with a trip to Washington DC by my boyfriend. During the second day of this mini vacation, we got dressed up and had a lovely, intimate dinner between the two of us across the street from Morton’s(review to come on that place as well). From there, we walked across the street to Morton’s. I was utterly confused when we arrived, expecting to go out to a party rather than another restaurant after we had already eaten. Still I obliged and went along with his plans. Two kind hosts greeted us warmly at the front desk, seeming to know who we were before my boyfriend could even state his name/reservation. From there, they led us to a private room in the back where at least 40 relatives between the two of us from all over the country had gathered to await our arrival. What an amazing surprise. Of course you can figure out what happened next. Amazing day! After all of the initial shock wore down, I was able to learn of all of the intense planning that went into such a surprise. My fiancé expressed how professional and attentive this staff was while he was setting this up. From countless email exchanges back and forth to preparing a special dinner menu for my family there(vegetarian options and other dietary restrictions included), it was no easy feat. The private room was beautiful and spacious and the staff let us stay as long as the two of us needed to after the party ended. To say they were well prepared for this special event is an understatement. All of the waitstaff was well informed of the surprise, well prepared and super kind to me and the rest of our families. The event coordinator even followed up with us over email the following day to ensure everything he planned was to satisfaction. Duh– it was amazing! I can’t thank the kind staff for being a memorable part of the evening.

Went for Valentine’s Day dinner yesterday. Ambience and service was nice other than having to wait almost an hour between our appetizer and entrée. I understand it was busy, but the server just came over laughing saying she didn’t know we were ready for our entrée yet, seriously? The food was just decent and overpriced in my opinion. I’m not a big steak person but the filet mignon had no flavor and the lobster was rubbery. The side of Mac and cheese had no bacon or onion or even that flavor. For the prices I expected the food to taste a lot better. The onion bread was the best part of the meal other than my fiancé’s cajun steak which was a lot more flavorful. I think we could’ve cooked a better meal at home.

Try the Cajun Ribeye and the Carrot Cake. They’re outstanding. Ask for Daniel. He’s a passionate and magnificent server.

For DC steakhouses, the Georgetown Morton’s is one of the best(and second oldest Morton’s behind Chicago’s). The chops here for whatever reason just taste better. The steak selections are fantastic. I highly recommend the porterhouse with a tenderloin on one side and a strip on the other side of the t-bone. The sides are also excellent, from sautéed Brussels sprouts to bacon & onion Mac and cheese!!! The wine list is very diverse with fantastic selections both in the inexpensive to expensive range. The portions are quite large and you can share everything, but be sure to leave room for dessert, specifically for the legendary hot chocolate cake. Be prepared to spend some coin here as the meal can get expensive, but believe me, it’s worth every penny. I highly recommend the Georgetown location for its quaintness, charm and excellent food and staff.

The Morton’s in Troy used to be one of our favorite restaurants. I just went to the one in Georgetown, and my friend’s well done steak was completely charred to ashes. They did replace it at no cost, but for being an expensive steakhouse, this is completely unacceptable. The cost does not reflect the quality of food. We also had a recent similar experience with subpar steak at the Troy location, so based on two recent bad experiences in two different locations, we will not return to Morton’s any time soon.

As good as it get with food. The server took a little long with our beverages. Prices were high, but it was well worth the food. The cajun steak was absolutely amazing. We had Tacos to start, they were amazing as well. I highly recommend this restaurant!

Very nice and elegant place. I ordered the«beefsteak» tomato and onion salad which doesn’t have any steak in it. Apparently the tomato is called«beefsteak». It was very disappointing when I received something completely different to what I thought I was going to get. So, I ended up ordering a steak on the side. The steak was cooked to perfection!!!

I ate here with a large group two nights in a row– once with seven people and once with eight people. Both dinners were at prime time– 7pm– on a weekday and we were easily accommodated and given a round table per our request. The first night was less busy and the service was good. The second night they fell very short on service, making a few grave mistakes like giving people the wrong bone-in filet. Dessert was comped that night. I ordered almost the same thing both nights and the food was very good and as ordered. I love the Caesar salad there and the portion is all American big! I always order it but rarely finish it. I ordered the ribeye and I thought it was better(more marbled) the first night. The regular mashed potatoes are great and the horseradish ones equally great. The broccolini special had a lot of garlic. We loved the spinach and mushrooms. Several of us ordered the fresh berries with sabayon both nights for dessert. Everyone was more than satisfied. It is a go-to dessert for me. In summary it is hard to go wrong with a Morton’s!

I know this is a steak house and I’m a vegetarian. Location: It’s in Georgetown, on Prospect St, and clearly labeled so it’s not hard to find. I went there around 8p on a Thursday night. The restaurant is very spacious so it didn’t feel crowded. They also offer a small outdoor patio. Service: The service took a couple minutes to get rolling but the waitress was catering to some«important» guests as well as some big table tops… So that was completely understandable. Once the service did start, It was fantastic. The waitress, the food runner, the manager… All lovely. Food: I got the chopped spinach salad — omit the bacon, the sautéed brussel sprouts(which comes with bacon but didn’t say that on the menu), and a chocolate soufflé. Overall, the salad was refreshing and the rest was pretty tasty. Large portion sizes. My only recommendation for the menu would be to add a couple of dishes that are vegetarian friendly so everybody can easily dine at this wonderful restaurant chain.

Branch of well known, upscale chain in centre of Georgetown. Spacious, but a little lacking in ambience. Food and wine selection good but prices normally on high side — I went during Restaurant Week so got better deal, but rating adjusted to regular price point. For upscale steak in DC I still prefer Fogo de Chão …

We had a group of twelve and just finished a successful competition. Our Ireland guy called and made reservations with Michael Flannigan the manager. Our evening was perfect from that point on. Michael met us at the door and sat us in our own private room where we could be as loud as we wanted… Considering one of our main competitors was right outside the doors in the open dining, this made us look even better after spanking them. Michael and his staff treated our team as if we were family. The food was ALL prepared perfectly as it always is. We were the last people to leave that night and the staff hung around and met our needs until we were finished. I am looking forward to returning.

If you’re in the mood to drop a fair amount of money on a meal, it’d better be good. And Morton’s in Georgetown, I’d say, is worth it. Granted, I got a free meal here(I know, ridiculous, but I also have ridiculously generous friends), but even if I was paying, the overall experience would still be 5 stars. The menu online doesn’t include prices so I’ll do my best here to include those below. Food: Um… what can I say other than EXCELLENT. The steaks are cooked perfectly. My medium filet Mignon was juicy with a little pink in the middle and some crispiness to the exterior. Every last bite was delectable. For sides, our table ordered the grilled balsamic asparagus(and seriously, I have never seen spears so HUGE), the macaroni and cheese, and the horseradish mashed potatoes. I don’t like horseradish but I couldn’t get enough of those potatoes! Everything at Morton’s is a la carte, so sides are an extra $ 12 each. BUT — they are big enough to share(3 sides were plenty between 5 of us). The fillet ranges in size and price. A 6 oz is $ 39, 8 oz is $ 45, and 12 oz is $ 50. A friend had the salmon(why, at a steak house?! but it was divine) for $ 35. Drinks: I started with a Caipirinha, which was decent — certainly not the best I’ve had. Cocktails are around $ 15 each. But here, the wine list really stands out. Bottles range from $ 43 — $ 5,000(just slightly over my budget, ha!). Actually, the wine menu includes an award that this location has received for having such an outstanding selection. If your table is indecisive about vino, there are many great by-the-glass options. The Riesling is GREAT and only $ 12 a glass. Most of the wines are around $ 10 a glass. Service: Formal, attentive, not over-the-top friendly. Actually, one thing that really impressed me was that they allowed a friend and I to split a 12 oz fillet — which I know many restaurants would balk at. However, our server simply said, «Ok, and would you like the chef to split it before bringing it out?» By doing so we saved $ 30 and the server was so accommodating and nice about it! We got instantaneous refills on the warm onion bread loaf and butter, too — yummm. Also, major points — it was a friend’s birthday, and the maitre’d came over to snap a photo and ten minutes later came back with it printed and in a frame! So sweet. Dessert: Chocolate molten lava cake with ice cream and raspberries. OH heaven. When I say rich, I mean, 4 girls and 1 guy couldn’t polish it off after stuffing ourselves with steak! Ambiance: It’s a steak house. It is dimly lit with more masculine details. Ample seating. At 8:30 on a Saturday evening, it was not at all busy. There were families here(and I wonder… do the children appreciate the extravagance of such a meal?!) as well as couples as well as small groups like ourselves. Morton’s, I’ll have to save quite a chunk out of my paycheck to be able to come here on my own, but one day I will return for another mouth-watering steak!

It’s a Morton’s. It should be good. Right? Bearboat pino. Very good Giant bread loaf to feed the masses Maitredee affered me reading material. I chose the current Cigar Aficiando. Wine arrives but my server says«she’s trying to get the menu cart». I know it’s about presentation of the cuts but after sitting for a little under 10 minutes, skip the cart and bring me food. She found the cart and it rolled on by to another table. Another 5 min and it’s my turn. Anything under plastic wrap looks bad but I let her continue her speal. Wedge salad with home made blue cheese(also availble is 1000 isl) Bone in filet– oscar Asparagus Slow service for a dead night. Diningroom is 1⁄3 full mostly of businesen with a date thrown into the mix. The steaks are always top notch but the service here was lacking. For these prices you could afford another menu cart to sit next to me. I did not enjoy waiting.
