My family use to own this carry out. So I grew up eating here literally. I worked here for 5 years of my life. So sad to see it no longer here. I had great memories here. Well for those of you who didn’t know it was a fast food American/Salvadoran restaurant. It’s specialty was pupussas, a meat filled thick tortilla, served with a vinegar coleslaw topped with a tomato sauce. I have eaten at least 1,000 of these fat little contraptions. This place was located in the heart of DC1 block from Thomas circle off of 14th street. Mosses you will be missed…

Sadly, I think Moses’ may have closed. Only got to try it a few times, but looks like they’ve shut down for good. I walk by it a few times a week and the sign is gone, and the space is boarded up. Too bad, cause the authentic tacos and Papusas were money, and whenever I was the only gringo in the joint, they made me feel right at home, Moses was a friendly mofo!

Moses no longer serves breakfast every day, but they still have their signature cheap pupusas served piping hot with cabbage and spicy hot sauce. This was one of the first pupuserias I visited in DC; although it’s not the best one in the area, it’s certainly cheap and worst a visit for a quick snack/lunch in the Logan Circle area.
