Most unbelievably rude staff I have ever dealt with! I have had bad experiences before with them as far as sloppy delivery, no utensils, cold food, etc. but today was the final straw. I called to inquire the whereabouts of my order and an eta and the girl on the phone(who sounded about 16 years old) said«well it’s left the restaurant». I said ok it has been over two hours can you tell me where it is? She said well there were a lot of orders ahead of you. I asked if the food would be cold when it got here to which the reply was«yes, well you have a microwave don’t you?» No I actually don’t, which I said and she replied«well you have a stove.» Wow. Just wow. Yes I have a stove and if I wanted to use it I would not be paying $ 36 for phở and spring rolls. When I asked to speak to a manager she insisted that there was no one else in the restaurant. Will NEVER order from this restaurant again and make sure that no one who lives nearby does either. Phở 14 is so much better, more reliable, and has far better service and standards.

Came to DC for the weekend from NYC and I had a craving for Vietnamese. Ordered delivery from Grubhub: egg rolls, rice noodles and two bahn mi Georgetown sandwiches. Everything but the noodles were highlighted as their frequently ordered items. Not only was everything ice cold, but the bread was so stale it crumbled when you picked it up to the point that I just had the contents of the sandwich in my hands to eat. Oh and we didn’t get any utensils, not even a napkin.

I was sick with some weird cold, so I ordered the Georgetown phở, the tofu, and the summer rolls. The food was pretty good. Unfortunately, the sauce for the tofu is the exact same Hoisin/sriarcha blend they give you for the soup. It would have been nice to have a different sauce(perhaps the sweet and sour sauce they have at other vietnamese places?). The summer roll was pretty good, but also nothing to write home about. Here is why I gave it only three stars. First off the authenticity of this phở is lacking. The broth is good, however there is usually tripe or tendon, and the meat rare. I understand that not everyone is a huge fan of the tendon or tripe, but that should be an option. The meat I received was so well done, by the time I got the order and got it into the soup, the meat had been overcooked and tough to eat. You can transport medium rare meat without compromising safety or flavor. I ordered delivery, so I understand the quality won’t be the same as if I were sitting in the actual restaurant. However, here’s what really got to me. I was totally okay with coming down and getting my meal from the person. I live in a huge apartment complex. What totally got to me was that the guy did not have change for a 20… I know a lot of people order and pay with credit card, but you’re supposed to carry change, not expecting a wad of cash, but at least ten or twenty dollars in change. I wanted ten back so that I could give the guy a 4 dollar tip(15%).(My whole order came out to 26 dollars, and I had 40 on hand.) When I asked him if he could give me ten dollars, he looked at me and said that he didn’t have any. It took us ten extra minutes of asking people and eventually going down to the convenience store in the basement of my apartment to get change. Food did arrive fifteen minutes earlier than expected and it was still good, despite the overdone nature of the meat and the lack of tripe/tendon. The delivery aspect just killed this for me. If you want to order from this place, make sure you pay with credit card or have a ton of small bills. Would order from here again if I really wanted phở, but I’d use a credit card next time…

Yum! I was there on a Monday for lunch and literally everyone in that place was slurping on some Phở! I tried the Veggie Phở with Tofu and it was great. Bonus: if you’re not down for the usual gallon sized bowl, they have an appetizer portion! Summer Rolls: good but kinda boring. I like more veggies in my roll. The Banh Mi was great. The baguette was crunchy and soft, just as it should be. I actually ordered one to go, in attempt to save Phở later! Cute place, friendly service and a solid menu that is vegetarian friendly!

Omg this place was so good. I wanted to get 4 more of everything to take home. We tried the veggie summer roll(I’ve had better actually but it was good), vegetarian phở(veg broth as well as ingredients) and veggie bahn mi. Soup and sandwich were fantastic. Fresh veggies and prepared to utmost deliciousness. Bonus, phở available in 2 sizes. Those bowls are massive so a smaller size was a nice option. Prices, service, ambiance all ace. I would definitely return if in the area. We were there on a Monday and it was non stop customers … They are doing it right !!

Terrible service. Do not order from this location, they take forever to deliver food was terrible and tasteless. We waited two hours for our delivery! I will never go here or order from here again. I wish I could give a negative star review, it was so bad.

This place is my boyfriend and I’s favorite place in the area when it comes to phở! The broth is tasty and the meatballs are great. We usually like to split a banh mi sandwich to start, and then I usually get an appetizer size phở bowl as my meal. The place is very clean and calm/quiet with friendly servers. Love this place and would recommend to anyone!

review of delivery by grub hub. I was sick and ordered Phở Ga via grubhub. Here’s a referral code(I couldn’t find one!!) they were great with the packaging — keeping noodles separate from the soup. I ordered extra meat which is good if you are getting the large, I think. went in the restaurant the next day. authentic Asian owners and chef. disappointed with the sparse veggies given with the spring rolls — other restaurants give more lettuce, and some other stuff to wrap the rolls in… but good spring rolls. but seemed pricey $ 6 for 4 pieces? the large Phở Ga — was LARGE. I had to take ½ home. and I don’t think it is the«real» phở ga soup which should be chicken with ginger…

I came here for lunch, so I ordered a pork banh mi. It was really good, not the best I’ve had, but still very tasty. The only issue I have with the place is it seems a bit sketchy with the sanitation. I saw a guy(who I assume was a delivery driver) come in and help out putting glasses away and getting food ready to serve, and he did not wash his hands after coming into the restaurant. I looked into the kitchen and there was a big pile of bloody meat sitting in the sink. Also people working there had sandals on, which maybe that’s allowed in DC, but most other states prohibit that. Just didn’t make me feel too confident about the cleanliness of the place.

The food(flavor wise) is undeniably good. However almost every time I order take out or delivery I find a hair in my food. It has happened at least three times. so gross

I love this place — you can get a bowl of delicious phở for $ 6(appetizer size, which is enough to fill me), or $ 10 for the full size. They have thai iced tea, another favorite of mine, and delicious egg and spring rolls as well. What more do you need? The service has always been extremely friendly, although sometime you need to ask the server for the check. The dining area is your typical Asian restaurant theme, and it is always really clean(so is the very nice bathroom in the back — and you can tell a lot about a place from its bathroom!). This is one of my favorite local spots in Georgetown. It’s affordable, delicious, and laid-back.

Absolutely delish phở. Also, great service. The woman even gave me a paper bag to put my bean sprouts and basil ect in. the ambiance also felt very authentic even had a sign on the door saying bathrooms are for customers.

I’ve never eaten here, only ordered delivery or picked up takeout. The food here is about as spot on and authentic as it gets *for Georgetown* When you have that craving for phở and a Sprig & Sprout makes you sad, come here! I love the vermicelli bowls, everything is freshly prepared and delicious. I always get the extra meat(worth the extra $ 2). The prices are reasonable, which also says a lot for Georgetown. When I’ve come here to pick up my food, the place is always humming with people, even at 3pm on a weekday. Good stuff.

This is a review for their foodler delivery. Their phở was awesome. Savory soup with beef and bean sprouts. They even give you the sauce to pair with it. Their grilled lamb is also amazing. Tender, and the steamed vegetables come with a nice sauce. Delivery was fast and at least half an hour faster than the estimated delivery time. 10⁄10 would order again.

Ordered dinner from here and I chose the summer rolls and lettuce wraps with chicken. We waited about 50 – 60 minutes for our food, but it was worth it because everything was delicious and I’ll absolutely order from this restaurant again!

Phở Viet is one of the earlier entrants into the Vietnamese restaurant field in the Wisconsin Avenue end of Georgetown. Unlike some of the Vietnamese restaurants down on M St, Phở Viet is more like the small, family owned Vietnamese restaurants that specialize in a select group of foods and does them well. The name of the game here is Phở, grilled meats, and Banh Mi. Having been coming here regularly now for over a year, I’m happy to say that Phở Viet is my favorite of the Vietnamese restaurants of Georgetown. Their Phở is very good no matter what variety you get. The traditional meat phos all come with plenty of noodles and meat, all in delicious, hot, and well herbed and spiced broth. The low carb phở(yes, I tried it) is also surprisingly good and satisfying. The same broth and meat is used, but the noodles are replaced by cabbage, broccoli, carrot, and other veggies. The only thing I can knock their phở for is that side of bean sprouts and herbs has frequently been pretty drab and not very fresh looking. Beyond Phở, Phở Viet also has some surprisingly good Banh Mi as well. The bread is crisp and airy and there is plenty of meat and pickled vegetables. I like it more than the banh mi at Simply Bahn Mi across the street even. Finally, the appetizers are all pretty standard and nothing surprising all ’round — spring rolls, summer rolls, and even the seaweed rolls, which while small, are pretty tasty. Moving on to the space, the restaurant is clean, bright, and I have never had a problem getting a table inside or in the back patio on warmer days. Service has always been good as well and the speed has never been an issue. As for value, a large bowl of Phở runs around $ 10 while most appetizers are around $ 5 or so, so a meal will not break the bank. Overall I would recommend making the trip up Wisconsin to get your Vietnamese or Phở fix here rather than the touristy places on M St. Yes the menu is simpler, but the quality of the food I’ve had here far surpasses the other Vietnamese restaurants in the Georgetown area.

Came for dinner after running in gtown. We originally planned to get sandwiches from Simply Banh Mi across the street, but its closed already. Thought we would go for some noodle instead. I had the spring rolls and small phở(#2-steak and meatball), and my friend had lemon grass beef. We agreed that our food was lacking. The spring rolls were fine, but my phở was plain and had very little meat(perhaps half a meatball and 2 slices of beef). The appetizer portion was a lot smaller than other phở restaurants, The beef was also very overcooked. The soup wasn’t the tasty, flavorful soup I usually get at most phở restaurants. My friend thought her beef was too salty and had no lemon grass taste to it. It tasted more like… No-good bulgogi at Korean places. Her portion was pretty huge tho. The worst part is the service. We went around 830pm, so the place was pretty empty with like 3 other tables. But every time we asked her for something, it took forever. Just chopsticks and water… Nothing too difficult. We also waited for at least half an hour to see her appear so we can ask for the check, and another 15 – 20 minutes before getting our check back. Not coming back! Even if I crave phở.

I tried this restaurant again and this thine, their tofu Bahn Mi was delish! The tofu was perfectly charred and the bed was crispy on the outside and soft on the inside. If you’re hungry for a Bahn Mi and aren’t in Waco, Texas to try that hidden gem— come here — you’ll enjoy your experience!

This place is for people who pronounce«phở» as «foe.» So I’ve only had the phở here, so the review is all about the phở. First of all, this is not authentic phở. If you want authenticity, Phở 75 is right across the Key Bridge in Rosslyn. They don’t offer bible tripe or beef tendon… I know those ingredients don’t jive with the typical American tastes, but this is phở, not McD’s so these ingredients should at least be an option. The broth wasn’t very flavorful, and the noodles were rubbery. I ordered for delivery… First of all, they packaged the basil leaves, sprouts, and jalapeños together with the meat and noodles. They should be kept separate and only introduced together, right before you eat. Also, all the meat was well done. The meat should be left a little rare or even raw, and the heat from the broth should cook the meat in the bowl. It keeps the meat from being ovecooked. The delivery was quick and took less than 30 mins from when I placed my order, but the broth was not hot at all. I’ve had phở delivered to my house that took much longer than 30 mins but the broth has always been piping hot. I’m going to stick to my usual places for my phở fix from now on. I hope the banh mi is better!
