Pizze was our perfect stop on cold wet Washington D.C. winter day. Service was super friendly. Price affordable. Pizza was great! And the pizza oven offers a warm ambiance to the small 4 to 5 table dining area. We’ll be back!

I hate tobe the one to report negatively but this place needs lessons on pizza making. Ordered veggie that had spinich listed as part of the ingredients. I expected fresh but is was clearly drained frozen. Not good. The sauce had no zip or depth of flavor, just bland. Tha’ts all I gotta say.

Stopped in for a quick bite right off a plain. Good sandwich, fries, and salad for decent price. Good cold beer, and friendly service.

What. A. GEM. So I’m walking down the street looking for Italian Pizza Kitchen and my mom, who had a pizza craving, spotted Pizze across the street advertising«authentic» Italian. I went oh gawd, any place that has to advertise itself as authentic non é molto buono(it is not very good). We go to the steps in front, which lead down into the restaurant, and saw it’s a tiny space, cramped, with old tablecloths that had holes in them. I just kept thinking, what are we doing? And yet we persisted and magnifico! The waiter recommended the carbonara and we were glad he did. It came with a broken egg on top. My wife and I wanted to split it and they brought the single order out evenly divided into two plates with an egg each. I then had the margherita, which had just enough cheese, but not TOO much. It had olive oil on top and little grease underneath, which is how I like it. Overall the drink menu is limited, the space is tiny, and there’s very little romance or luxury here. But that’s not why you come. You come for the food and the food is great. So much so, given the venue and price, that I’m willing to take the rest as part of the charm. If you’re in Woodley, and want pizza. Pizze is a wonderful choice, and I say that with no disrespect for Italian Pizza Kitchen, which I’ve yet to try.

Good service and they had the basketball game on. The location is sketchy and there wasn’t too much seating. The pizza was only 12in thin pizza for $ 12-$ 16. DONOT get the steak and cheese sandwich. Tasted off.

Victoria rocks. Freddie is GREAT! The whole crew is there to please. Be warned, this is not your run of the mill menu. Everything is made fresh with the freshest ingredients. Reading some of the lesser reviews it seems like those people are craving Dominoes delivery. THISISNOTDOMINOES! This is what food should be.

This I believe is my very first review and its really only based several things that completely took me by surprise. The location is somewhat hard to spot if you really arent looking but luckily I Knew about this place from frequenting the area on occasion as I travel from California and stay nearby. As you walk downstairs you may start picking up the fresh aromas of basil. olive oil and fresh baked bread baguettes… and its very pleasant! What might be even more pleasant is the smile from Victoria as you walk thru the door. Victoria ROCKS! Ive been there a handful of times and she is 100% accommodating and thoughtful. For example. The biggest reason Im writing the review is because I went in last night for the first time since I was here last in early April and was only looking for Tiramisu because its AWESOME. and found that I had gotten there too late but instead she happily whipped me up a Crème Brûlée. i couldnt complain. Today after work I went back in a little earlier for dinner and asked for the Tiramisu and they ran out again(im telling you its THAT good!). but instead of offering me something else Victoria made me. from scratch… a FRESH batch! I couldn’t believe my eyes! I saw her in the back with the mixer and measuring out all the ingredients and i thought to myself. i wondered what she’s doing so I asked… when she told me that completely blew me away! Not to mention the dish I ordered(another favorite!) the TRADITIONALBEEFBOURGUIGNONANDFRESHPASTA was magically ready within about 12 minutes and the desert was ready promptly after I finished. Totally perfect service. Hope this was helpful to some that were on the fence because of previous reviews. I will say this. that this is not only one of MY favorites but the staff at the shop I work in down the street… its one of their favorites as well! Well done Victoria. and well done Pizze! Thank you! Delicious pizza and pasta. So what it’s a little more in price, where will you do better for these items in the touristy restaurant hell called Woodley Park?

Awful. Just awful. The pizzas here are damn near inedible — undercooked and doughy, too-lightly sauced, with a paper-thin layer of cheese and barely any toppings. The pizza itself can barely feed one moderately hungry individual. I know, I know, at this point, it sounds like I’m exaggerating a bit. But to top it off, prices are fairly high, even by DC standards. A plain cheese pizza starts at $ 11, but it’s $ 14 for the margherita pizza and up to $ 16 for some of the others. Not totally absurd, I suppose, but it’s far from a good deal. The place itself isn’t much. Down the steps, you’ll find a tiny, cramped space with only a few seats and a hot, open kitchen. Although there’s seating outside, the staff ultimately ushered us upstairs into Petits Plats, a separate-but-related restaurant that serves Pizze’s pizzas on their lunch menu.(I’m not exactly sure how Pizze and Petits Plats are affiliated, but they’re in the same building, with similarly styled awnings.) The ambiance up there is considerably nicer, but it’s staffed by some seriously awkward and creepy waiters. Personally, I’d recommend the McDonald’s across the street.

Pizza with almost no cheese in a personal size with very stingy toppings for 14 bucks? Don’t fall for it like I did.

I enjoyed my margherita pizza and could tell they used fresh ingredients(good crust, fresh basil, etc), but overall the experience was fairly underwhelming — and not cheap by any means, so not exactly worth the money.

Do yourself a favor and skip this place. Its easy to find yourself heading back from the zoo tired and starved and finding this little pizzeria on the way back to the metro. It was literally the most overpriced, disgusting tasting pizza I have ever eaten. I never thought I would find the day when I couldn’t finish eating a pizza because of taste, I mean a pizza is a pizza. Apparently I was so wrong. The head waiter barely flinched when we told him the pizza was the worste we ever ate. I guess he has heard it many times. Consider yourself warned. I’m mad I have to even give this place a star… that’s how bad it was.

My family and I had just finished a long day at the zoo and were looking for a place to eat before heading back to the metro. We walked by a couple places and a worker from one of the restaurants came out. He asked if he could be any help, looking for something quick we asked if they had slices of pizza. He said yes so we followed him in. Well little did we know that we were walking into one of the crappiest pizza places ever. Once the waiter sat us and gave us menus we realized that pizza was over priced extremely and now all of a sudden he doesn’t have slices only pies that are the size of a personal pie and they cost about $ 14 each. Since we were already seated we felt the need to just eat quickly and get out we just sucked it up and ordered. However once we saw the pizza it is only made things ten times worse. There was basically no cheese, flavorless sauce and was pretty much on crust the size of a cracker. not even 20 minutes later we left having to pay an over priced bill and some of our family member still starving because the pizza was such crap! Don’t go to this place its a rip off and disgusting!

Totally disappointed. Was invited by waiter who assured us we can purchase single slices to later find out we had to purchase at least 4 pies at 15 a pie to semi satisfy my party of ten. A quick sliced turned into 75 dollars for a lame pizza. Walk another block grab mcdonalds.

It was a nice little lunch place, with very fresh ingredients and a great tomato sauce. The pricing, however, was very steep for the amount– one pizza, appetizer and no drinks for two cost $ 30!

We stopped in after Boo at the Zoo, starved, tired of walking, and figuring pizza would please the child. Little did I know this was a gourmand’s pizzeria until I looked at the menu… There’s no real ambiance to speak of. The chairs were uncomfortable plastic stools and the tables were teeny. But the pizza was pretty good. It was clear they used high quality toppings including delicious Italian sausage and briney kalamata olives… The crust was thin but dense and the tomato sauce had hints of wine in it. But like others are saying, it was no cheapo pizza. Our 12″ pizza plus two cans of soda cost over $ 20. So I wouldn’t go out of my way to eat here again, but it was a fine place to rest our feet from the zoo and get something to eat fairly quickly.

Been there once, a few weeks after it opened. Prices are outrageous. I’m not a connoisseur of Neapolitan pizza, so maybe its how its supposed to be, but I was appalled by the lack of chicken and buffalo mozzarella on my pizza. I think I counted 3 tiny pieces of chicken on the entire pizza, as well as maybe 3 tiny pieces of cheese. Service was good, and the 2 people I dealt w/were polite. Facilities seem fine. Other than lack of toppings and price, I guess it wasn’t bad pizza — but these two factors were so extreme that they result in a 2 star rating. There is hope — lower prices and don’t skimp on toppings and you may make it another month or two.

Went to the zoo yesterday and decided to stop by here for a bite to eat since it was so nice outside. You have to order downstairs, but can bring your food upstairs to sit outside. The actual restaurant is tiny — maybe 3 tables. My boyfriend had a slice of pizza, which he liked a lot. For the cost($ 3.25, I think?) it was a pretty small slice. I had the tomato and mozzarella salad, which was very fresh and tasty, but again, a small serving for the price. Walk around Connecticut Ave, and you can definitely find more food of similar quality for a better price.

This place was incredibly disappointing. Inconsistent pricing aside(a 12″ plain pizza [$ 9] with double pepperoni [$ 1.50×2] costs less than a 12″ pepperoni pizza [$ 13]), the pizza was not good. The sauce is bland and watery, dough is dry and burnt, and mozzarella not very fresh tasting. It cost me $ 20 for a 12″ pepperoni pizza and two cans of Sprite. That’s pretty steep, even for DC. Also, the chairs are cheap and uncomfortable, and the tables aren’t very clean.
