If you love it when cashiers are rude and disrespectful first thing in the morning, this is place for you! The barista and other employees eating while making coffee is such a great touch if your partial to their crumbs becoming accent pieces to your espresso. The cherry on top here is the blatant disregard for the oven and its contents. The alarm was going off indicating completion of cooking, or so I thought that’s what it meant. Unbeknownst to me, it simply meant that everyone should shirk their responsibility and allow the food inside to come out nice and burnt. Awesome experience.

Stopped in with my daughters and friend. Staff didn’t seem to know how to properly take orders. After I ordered and paid they took five minutes to inform me that they were out of my drink. Staff seems all over the place. I’ve certainly been to much better Starbucks.

Nobody at the Starbucks was in a hurry other than me. There were two people taking orders and one person making coffee. It doesn’t take a rocket scientist to figure out this will result in a long wait.

This location is your typical Starbucks. Drinks are consistent and staff is friendly. I want to give kudos to a few of the ladies that work there that have actually spelled my name correctly! This spot trumps all other Starbucks in that department.

I do this awesome magic trick… it’s when I disappear during boring conversations… Dark and dismal… Do not go there hungry… because the line can extend all the way outside… Their over processed shrunken food stuffs here not only over priced stale tasting but simply not good! i got my usually green tea frap and it was downright awful so much ice. literally like pure shaved ice… doesn’t even taste like and actually drink… and not enough powder or cream… Leaves one thinking how they still mange to have a job here??? P.S; One freaken outlet are u kidding me???

Not all Starbucks are created equal. 20 person line at 10:45AM. Ok, DC people like their coffee because the lines are long everywhere. However, things moved really slow, the service was less than good when I finally got to the counter, and the coffee was well below average. I’m staying in the hotel it’s connected to but will look elsewhere for coffee for the rest of my trip.

I stopped in right before the Starbucks was closing on 9÷8÷15 and waited for a few minutes for someone to notice I was at the counter. It wasn’t a big deal. I wasn’t in a hurry(had this been early in the morning and I stopped for breakfast before work I would have felt different). This Starbucks location is very small relative to other Starbucks in the area. However, I would guess with its location adjunct to the SW Holiday Inn it does a lot of business. I would also guess that this Starbucks doesn’t care about their customer service because frankly most of their customers are probably hotel guests who are in the area for a temporary amount of time. In a nutshell, if you need a coffee on your way to or back from the L’fant metro this is a good choice but for anything else I would look for a different location.

2 days in a row my wife and I stopped in for a drink. Both days the same 20 something man was standing in front of the espresso machine talking to the Starbucks team. Today he had a friend with him. Having a involved conversation about life they all seemed to be friends. But it was very evident that the Starbucks team was much more interested in the conversation with the guy at the counter than serving the customers. From the person taking taking orders at the register to the person making the coffee drinks they all were more engaged in the conversations with the young man than getting us our drinks or even acknowledging we were there.

For a Starbucks connected to a hotel AND on a holiday weekend they only had 1 cashier and 1 barista, worst staff planning ever. We waited for 25 minutes because everything else was closed in the area and wish we hadn’t. For a corporation as big and efficient as Starbucks this place is terrible.

For a Starbucks located next to a major hotel, the management needs to have more than two staff working on a Saturday morning. There was a long line wrapped around the store that moved at a snail’s pace. I ordered a breakfast sandwich(no drink). I waited about 5 minutes before asking if my order was coming out. The cashier apologized and said she had forgotten about it. It took about 25 minutes for me to wait in line, order, and receive my food — much longer than necessary. Management needs to hire more staff or teach them how to be more efficient/accurate with orders. Two stars because there was nothing wrong with the food, but their poor service is really killing them.

Latte was ok. Staff not so much. Weren’t willing to add raw sugar to the cup before making the latte. Almost all starbucks I’ve been to have been more than happy to accommodate my request, but here they flatly denied it. The place wasn’t as clean as u’d expect a regular Starbucks to be. Much to be improved

The staff was extremely unprofessional. They were having their own conversations with each other and barely acknowledged me as a customer. They just took my order and my money, and that was it. They didn’t ask if I wanted or needed anything else. Horrible customer service. My soy latte tasted ok.

I frequent this SBUX weekly. They are routinely swamped in the morning, but handle long lines as good or better than any other Starbucks I’ve been to. I never get anything other than regular coffee, so, it takes regular — like all the other SBUXs…

rude baristas, my mother forgot to say«iced» for her drink so he shook his head and said things under his breath. all of their baristas here are rude and unenthusiastic. I do not recommend coming.

I was a bit nervous going to a Starbucks in D.C. after reading many negative reviews of most of them. I am originally from California and nearly all the Starbucks around me are rated 4 – 5 stars. I am glad I came in. The Starbucks is clean and well air conditioned. My drink(passion fruit ice tea unsweetened) was made quickly and perfectly. I am interning across the street and I know that I will be coming here to spend my mornings. Definitely worth $ 2.70 ! Four stars because I understand there are bad days; however, if I get thru the summer without a bad day here, it will definitely be a 5!

I just ran in for another cup of coffee. The staff was friendly and extremely fast. I’ll come back again when I’m in the area.

It pains me to go to Starbucks. Truly, painful. I’m a coffee nerd. I need single origin coffees, perfectly pulled espresso shots, and nutty/steamed milk. Starbucks is not that place. Worse, this location seems to take itself less seriously than your average purveyor of auto-espresso. Why? Because we only go there out of necessity. It’s a caffeine delivery system during a work day. The whole experience is sloppy and with as much enthusiasm as a wet mop. Still, it’s Starbucks coffee in the end, and you have to appreciate that it’s better than the coffee in your office.

This is probably the WORST Starbucks I have ever been to. It is connected to the Holiday Inn and the line was long on a hot summer day. What’s worse is that they only had one blender to make the frappaccinos. Like seriously?! Can’t invest in more blenders especially being so closely located to the National Mall and for it being the summer?! It took over 30 minutes to get our caramel fraps. What’s worse is that my BF had a free birthday Starbucks reward and the cashier said it had been redeemed already. Wtf? Why would it show up on the Starbucks app then? Whatever, you must really wanted us to pay. Funny cause later that weekend we were able to redeem the free birthday reward. Horrible horrible horrible!!!

As Dave H. mentioned — this Sbux is adjacent to a Holiday Inn — the HI has it’s own entrance into Sbux. There is also an entrance from the street. Good strong coffee! There is not a lot of seating in here — the tables fill up rapidly!

This Starbucks has little to distinguish itself, except that it’s attached to a Holiday Inn.(Insert Holiday Inn joke here.) Stopped in and tried their toffee mocha frappuccino. Unfortunately it was awful. It was cloyingly sweet, with a horrible aftertaste.(I’d rather eat broken glass.) Luckily, I didn’t have to finish it, and washed out the toffee taste with a mocha frappuccino. Mmmm. I asked for extra espresso, but I’m not sure it was really added, though it made it on the receipt.
