Very distracted staff. Ordered venti white mocha frap. 5 pumps of roast, 3 pumps of white mocha, 3 pumps of frap base, extra blended. I got a frap with 8 pumps of frap base and no pumps of roast. Because the staff did not know the difference between frap base and frap roast. My wife also ordered a double tall café latte w 4 equals… and got a regular tall with 4 equals no extra shot! And ordered a lemon loaf… we both got distracted trying to use the rest room and the door codes you have to get from the staff… by the time we were done with the bathroom we had forgotten about the lemon load, so was never given it. Poor experience, especially for a gold member of the Starbucks club. Very, very poor experience.

This Starbucks is the worst. I went in today and placed a fairly-normal order. Barista grabbed the wrong cup. I corrected her and repeated the order. Waited a while(too long, imo, in the middle of the day, to wait for a drink). Other barista calls my name. I come and grab the drink. It’s not the right drink. Give it back to the barista and politely tell her I asked for it with whipped cream. She doesn’t apologize and eventually gives me the whipped cream. Then I noticed my name was spelled wrong, fairly hilariously given how common my name is. Now I don’t care how you spell my name, but I live very close to here, and the batting average for this Starbucks in getting your order right is about .5. Which is atrocious. I go to the Taylor next door about 1⁄6 of the time I go to this Starbucks. Not only do they know my name, and what I order, my order is never wrong. I don’t expect people to know my name, or what I order, or even get the order right *all* of the time. I know being a barista can be tedious. But this place really is the dumps. The people that work here are beyond rude. Want a newspaper? They don’t have it. Want an outlet? Good luck, the same homeless dude monopolizes them every day. Want to sit down and get some work done? Well, the line’s always out the door, but even if you could hear yourself think, you wouldn’t want to, because this place is overfull and there’s always a skeevy looking homeless person who didn’t buy anything nearby. The. Worst. Unless you’re a tourist or have a hardcore coffee addiction and your Keurig isn’t cutting it, don’t go here.

I really like this Starbucks they are very friendly and always get your drink order right. Tiarra really knows how to make my specialty drinks. I use to get the Chestnut Praline during the holiday season and she made it perfect!!! Now I am enjoying the Carmel Macchiato with soy. «Shout out to all the staff at this Starbucks»! I’ll see you on Monday morning :) Thanks for always saying good morning!

I like this Starbucks because they were few of the stores that was open when all other stores were closed. They have plenty of merchandise to purchase like cups/mugs and bag of coffee. It’s a busy store and it did take a little longer to get my drink because the lady would take the order and then go make it… Hmmmm?

You want a scaaaaaaary Halloween adventure? try stopping by the Starbucks on 7th and E Street NW Washington DC. Total monsters. The management should be ashamed of themselves for sinking to such low standards. Hideous. I was stuck here and needed some caffeine STAT and while I experienced no issue myself(besides for no smiles and no ‘thank you’ and such) I saw a woman get kicked out because she asked for the WIFI password and another woman with her child get cursed out by an employee for trying to use the ladies room even though they were customers. And they were customers. The manager did absolutely nothing either about this vulgar and crass employee. I highly recommend Chinatown Coffee on H Street.

One of my favorite things about Starbucks is the consistency. This one doesn’t make it. Wrong drinks, bad service. I sat at the bar and watched drink after drink get made wrong or just plain forgotten. Go to the locally owned coffee shop right across the street instead of this starbucks.

I’m giving this many stars because they messed up my order and then made it right by giving me a free drink. Everyone there is very nice and even though I had to call 5 or 6 times before I could get an answer on the phone I did get my drink!

Pretty abysmal service, for a company that prides itself on that commodity. Walked in 6 minutes after closing(I didn’t realize, door was still open). They refused to make even an iced tea. Not unexpected, I guess, but it would have been nice. Then they refused to let me even use the rest room. And I asked again. Still no. Now, that is a common courtesy. It would have cost them nothing. And given that my family and I spend at least $ 100 a month there, probably the least you could ask for. They laughed at me when I complained and left. There are two other Starbucks within 2 blocks of this place. Guess where I go for my coffee from now on.

On my way to a festival in DC, came by here with a friend to grab something refreshing. Its convenient location at the time in the hot weather made it such an easy temptation. Ordered the usual very berry hibiscus, and there were so many berries in it! I will always have a love-hate relationship with Starbucks. and will always be a sneaky sucker for those yummy cake pops. Guess it’s no secret what my guilty pleasure is.

This Starbucks is very close to the national mall so it’s a perfect stop if your in the area. I know a lot of people talk down on Starbucks, but I love it. I also know that people hate Starbucks and what it has to offer because it’s way too mainstream. However, I love Starbucks so I really don’t care what others think about the franchise. Whenever you go to any Starbucks location you know that you’re going to get a consistent product no matter what you order. I love opera’s chai tea latte. Try to order the chai tea frap with whipped cream. They also have a mini version now!!! It’s a tiny cup perfect for dabbling. Their minis are so cute. The minis cost about 4 $ and definitely has less calories than their grande. I also love their teavana iced tea line. You should try their berry hibiscus. It’s like a mocktail berry mojito in an ice cold cup.

Consistently the worst Starbucks ever. The staff seem pretty much incompetent with the worst attitudes, they forget your simple breakfast order, extremely disorganized and they can’t make a decent drink to save their life. Only because I work right next door I go there, but the consistent inability to provide good service and a good product is enough to make me not even want to drink coffee anymore. Not mention Starbucks was my first job in high school and it’s not rocket science.

Stopped in for an after game Americano. Well the crowd was enormous as you would expect after a Caps game. I thought my order would have to get messed up given the 20 – 30 orders they were working on. I was surprised to get my coffee exactly as I ordered it. Kudos to the baristas for keeping up. If you don’t have 10 – 15 minutes to wait for your coffee, don’t bother going in. If you can spare the time and really want a coffee, they will do a good job.

The manners, or lack thereof, never ceases to amaze me. Some douchbag at Starbucks sees 4 of us with a wet child on a rainy day and cuts in front of us so he can be sitting at a 4 person table by himself!!! No other seating anywhere. I would hope others in DC have some manners!!! As far as the coffee is concerned, its the quality & efficiency I would expect from any Starbucks!

This starbucks used to suck. Big time. Slow lines, a serious lack of seating, questionable service, the list goes on. I’ve worked nearby for the past 2.5 years and been here maybe 10 times max. While that is partially because I think Starbucks is overpriced in general, it is also because this place used to be a massive time suck. Today I walked in here for the first time in months. To my surprise, they totally redid the interior. Much better layout with more seating. Service also seemed to be quicker. Overall a HUGE improvement. While I doubt I’ll be coming here more often, I certainly won’t avoid this place like I have before.

I only go to this Starbucks because it’s the closest one to my work. However, if I didn’t take this into consideration, I would go somewhere else. They’ve messed up my order multiple times(wrong order, order never made, order was late) that at times I am surprised when I get my items correctly. To their credit, they do a pretty good job of turning things around quickly especially with hordes of grumpy office workers like myself(try to avoid this by coming in before 10AM on weekdays) and indecisive tourists on weekends and holidays. This branch also gets more than its share of interesting and shady characters when the weather is nice.

It’s a Starbucks, so the coffee it makes… tastes exactly like it does at every other Starbucks in America. And probably the rest of the world. However, I’m giving this location four stars because — on weekday mornings, anyway — they are fast, polite, and accurate. That’s really all I want in my Starbucks experience. Sure, it would be nice if a homeless person didn’t take a sink bath in the bathroom when I wanted to use it, but — win some, lose some. I’ve stopped in here at all times between 7am and 10am. While the line is occasionally long, it’s always moving. Once some jerk grabbed my drink and took off with it during a particularly busy rush.(Joke’s on him; it was just a vanilla steamer.) When I realized this and asked the rushed barista about it, he was really great. He didn’t miss a step on the other 6861 orders he had, but also made me a replacement drink in a larger size *and* a card for a free drink in the future. I was super inclined to be cranky — 2nd fire alarm in my building inside 30mn — but how can you argue with that sort of response? Thanks, Mr. Barista!

Around 9:30 am this past Saturday, my friend and I strolled into this Starbucks. Luckily, I fed the meter and gave us 15 minutes to stand in line and get our orders although I really thought that was too much time. The line snaked within the store and we ended up waiting at least 5 – 8 minutes. Then it took another 5 minutes to get our order, and when I finally got my drink, I asked for my food, which took another 2 minutes to get. What was my order? A chai and a lemon pound cake. In other observations, people in line behind us left to see if they could walk to another similar place and be serviced quicker, and there were only two people working that morning. I wonder if that’s typical because at the rate people were coming in, they could use an extra pair of hands.

Usually less crowded than other neighborhood Starbucks. It’s a chain. They’re all supposed to be the same. Once at this location they were out of heavy cream. That was all I wanted in my coffee and they didn’t have it. They asked me what else I wanted. «Uhh, my money back? You to run to the starbucks down the street and get some heavy cream? The manager to MANAGE inventory better? D, all of the above?» And seriously, do you think the sorta-coffee-flavored milkshake people are going to put up with«no whip?» Hell hath no fury like the under sugared and under caffeinated. They often say the bathrooms are out of order. I’m not sure why this is, but the next time it happens, I’m calling the health department.

This Starbucks is not as big as the one on 8007th Street(that’s the two-story one), just down the street. But it’s still a decent Starbucks and a convenient place to meet for coffee if you’re in Penn Quarter /Chinatown. I enjoyed the pastry I ordered here — the cinnamon bun. The service was great too. I was surprised to see how busy it was, even on a 3pm on a weekday afternoon. Be prepared to stand in somewhat of a line.

This is my favorite starbucks in the downtown/penn quarter area. The people that work here are SO nice, they always smile and go above and beyond. The place is clean, and always busy. Recommend it over other Starbucks’ in the area!
