Been going here for years. It was the first and only decent delivery in my area for a long time

Their zesty sauce stands out from the other local pizza delivery options. Very tasty. Also, really fast delivery.

I live in Brookland and was looking for a pizza place close by. Ordered 2 extra larges, one regular crust with pep and black olive, one thin with sausage, onion and green pepper. Pizzas were good size. Tasted okay, but the sauce just was a little off in our opinion. Tasted more like a spaghetti or pasta sauce than a pizza sauce. But for the cost and closeness to my house, it wasn’t bad. I’d order again.

Very rude in person and over the phone… And it’s always the same guy because I know his voice. He cuts me off, sighs every other second, and dare I ask what the total is? It’s like it’s an inconvenience to punch in a few numbers. So I started placing orders online and dealt with the delivery guys which are always friendly. However, I didn’t want to wait 40+minutes for food so decided to go pick up my food this time. Of course I knew the less than friendly guy would be there… he never says welcome or hello and always has an attitude. After I paid for my food, I was expecting a thank you, enjoy your night or come again. NOTHING. This place won’t get another dime of my money. If they don’t like the customers or enjoy the business maybe they should leave. And yes, being rude to me determines where I spend my money.

Good price, really good pizza and good wings to boot. This is a solid choice in the Brookland neighborhood. With the exception of & Pizza, it gets no better in this area.

I work about six minutes away from«Today’s Pizza,» and decided to stop here beforehand. I was in the mood for a gyro for some reason, and decided to be adventurous and order the lamb gyro. Now before I say anything else, let me admit that I’ve never eaten or even smelled lamb meat. Not to mention the thought of eating a cute little fluffy lamb slightly turned me off, but like I said, I was trying to be open that day. The order came with fries and came out to about $ 9. That in my opinion is way overpriced, but I was starving and only had 15 minutes to spare before work. While my boyfriend and I were waiting for my food to be prepared, we noticed they sold ice cream bars in a large container in the corner. Can we please stop this review for a second to acknowledge the fact that they place a lock on the ice cream bin? So in other words, if you’re hungry for some Ben and Jerry’s, the cashier has to literally come from behind the counter, walk over to the bin, ask you what flavor you want, take it out himself, and then head back to the counter for you to purchase it. If that is not ridiculous, then I don’t know what is. I know this is DC, but seriously? And they have the audacity to charge $ 7.50 for a small carton of B&J’s. What the hell? So anyways, back to the lamb gyro. I tried it. Did not like it. At all. I think mentally… I could not get past the fact that it was lamb. So maybe I’m biased. But, BUT, even so, I know this meat was not fresh. It had very minimal flavor, nothing distinct about it. The meat had the texture of a thin slice of tofu. The dark brown color turned me off, the texture disgusted me, and even the other contents of the gyro were oddly without flavor. I mean wow, I really paid 9 bucks for a gyro and all I can taste is the sour cream and a slight hint of tomato? But on a lighter note, the fries were okay. A step up from high school cafeteria fries… Besides the bad gyro, the customer service here is nearly non existent. When we came into the store, there was no greeting. I actually stood at the counter for a minute and a half just to see if this guy was going to acknowledge that I was even there. He didn’t. I contemplated leaving for that very reason(the air in there was just not welcoming), but I had no other choice at that point. Even when we left, the cook and cashier barely said«goodbye», or even«have a nice day!» Crack a smile for Gods sake… In closing, I wouldn’t recommend this place. Even though I live in Maryland, there’s plenty of other fast food joints that won’t kill your wallet, suppress your appetite, or make you want to go somewhere else.

For value this is about as good as it gets in DC, on the pizzaflavor-per-dollar-per-hurry scale(pat. ped). Sure Paradiso and Rustico and other high-brow pizza is «better», but their draw is part expensive or even overpriced pizza and part beer selection, to me. If you want a really good generic pseudo-NY pie for cheap and quick, go here. A bit greasy on the bottom, but also crisp, and the sauce blends well to the top side of the crust. The cheese itself isn’t too greasy and well distributed. I recommend one or two toppings since more probably disturbs the fragile cheap-pizza balance. I got GP and yeah. Tasty. I secretly wanna accidentally end up in this neighborhood whilst hungry again. Actually I want it now and it’s 7am

Ordered a medium pizza with onions, ham, and green peppers from them – wanted to try something different on the cheap takeout pizza realm from Boli’s. And? Today’s Pizza certainly isn’t bad, but Boli’s is the same price and is a step better in terms of taste. There really just isn’t much taste there. The toppings seem fresh enough, and I was more than full with 2 slices left – but meh, it was just okay. Obviously you’re not stacking places like Today’s and Boli’s against Menomale, 2 Amy’s, and the other high end«pizze» in DC. But on days where only the cheap, greasy, takeout pizza will do the trick – this place gets the job done, but is a not below Pizza Boli’s.

About a mile from my hold up in DC, I chose Today’s Pizza for its location, but I keep coming back for its taste. They have a great selection on the menu. Pizza is delivered hot. Dough, sauce, and toppings are tasty. They are speedy. What more could you ask of a pizza place. I find it unusual that they also offer fried chicken, fish, and other main course entrees. Never tried them. I’ll stick to the pizza. They have an online menu and ordering system. You can even pay the tip online! I’m definitely a fan of Today’s Pizza.

The sauce is a little sweet for my preference, but it’s is the closest to my house(literally a 3 min walk) so I can’t complain. Their onion rings are delicious, although since they’re huge, there’s only like 4 rings in a side order… definitely order 2 sides if you want for a group. Overall, I don’t think it’s anything to rave about, but since it’s so close to my house, I can see myself ordering from their again

When you eat something this monstrously unhealthy, you at least want it to taste good. The veggie pizza was a disaster: The cheese fell off the crust when I picked up a slice; it was so soggy that I could literally wring out the water; and the crust was underdone and floppy. Completely flavorless. On the plus side, the delivery guy was pleasant. Conclusion: These guys have no business making pizza. I would have been more satisfied with a slice of dry toast. Oh yeah, and it wasn’t even cheap. wtf.

The pizza was okay. I was hungry and only had enough energy to pick up the phone. The food arrived quickly and was fresh. The person who took my order over the phone was pleasant.

Great value, friendly service, consistently good food. Pizza here(thin crust is my personal favorite) is great, especially for the low prices. Haven’t tried the pizzas w/unusual toppings yet, like the gyro pizza(what?!) but friends say its pretty good. Delivery is reliable and quick(none of that dominos wait an hour and a half BS). Great place to stop by if you’re in the area and hungry.

We are staying down the road at a B&B so we have tried it when we wanted delivery a couple of times and have been satisfied both times. We ordered the thin crust pizza and they definitely have a good amount of topics and the sauce is quite tasty. My wife has had the fried chicken and she said it was good for a take out/delivery place. I’ve also stopped in for a gyro which was acceptable for a non-greek place. Give them a try.

In all honesty, I would have to sad I expected extremely little out of Today’s Pizza. I ordered delivery after having my interest peaked my their gyro pizza, which was surprisingly great, as was the philly cheesesteak pizza that I ordered the following week. The pizzas are the perfect balance of toppings, cheese and sauce, and I didn’t find it to me greasy at all. They have a pretty decent variety of other offerings, but I would say that the wings are average at best. The«hot wings» are more like a spicy bbq wing and the teriyaki wings were mostly just kind of sweet, but still tasty in their own un-teriyaki flavor. It’s no Amy’s or Matchbox, but its a delivery joint with dependable, decent food.
