Cedar Lodge

I recently spent a long weekend at Cedar Lodge and I loved it. The cabin we used was spacious enough, well maintained and clean. I liked the fact it had a fireplace and ample amount of pre chopped wood, though being summer we didn’t use it.
The property itself is wonderful with a great view over the water next to the campfire. The owner seemed friendly and helpful and over all, it was a great experience.
Some kind of internet access would have been nice, but I understand that isn’t the reason most people visit the island!

At the lodge & Cabins we have had groups of 20 pluss up, and every one had a great time!
This Lodge has been a favorite of ours on past visit’s to Washington Island and is a great place for family’s or couples looking for clean and relaxing surroundings on a budget.
Some cabin’s have fire places & grill’s out side to cook out on. And stuff you need like dishes and pots and pan’s can be found in unit’s or owner will help out and provide, The lodge offers many styles of guest room’s some with single bed’s & double bed’s with a shared kitchen down the hall and shared his and her bath’s, other unit’s have larger private bath rooms are in the lodge too! ask,
The owner on nice night’s provides bond fires on the shores of West Harbor a great place to see the sunset’s and perhaps have a glass of wine.
We enjoy the rustic laid back relaxing, Safe for kid’s atmosphere of this resort, our young children play and play all day and love to wave at the tourist’s riding by on the local Cherry Train, This Resort has NO — phones, no WI-​FI, NO TV, Cell service is spotty next to US CELL most cell’s will not work! OMG if you need all that this is not your place or Island to visit !!
All the room’s we toured on our visit were different and retro colors and rustic furnishings, kitchens were stocked with basic cooking items or could be had by asking owner, Gas grill at main lodge, charcoal grill’s around property, all cabin’s had refrigerators & stoves and some room’s too and shared kitchen at lodge was fully stocked.
WE LOVED IT! It was a good value for us budget minded travler’s, quiet, peaceful, relaxing.
