«Sur La Table.» That’s «On the Table» in French. So, by default, this store sells things that you put … well, on the table. But not JUST things you put on your table. They also sell lots of fancy cooking supplies. I was looking for some wine glasses but there’s no way I was dropping $ 60 on a 4 set. That said, I price compared on Amazon, which listed the same set of 6 for $ 78 so it only amounted to a $ 2 difference per glass. Overall, this location seemed slightly disorganized, but the prices appear to be about average.

I came in here randomly looking for a julienne peeler that I could not find anywhere. The moment I walked in I was impressed at how inviting the store was and the plethora of different kitchen items available. I ended up getting a great deal! Purchased a 3 peeler assortment for $ 15! Next time I’m at Willowbrook mall I will stop in that’s how much I liked the store and the service.

Beautiful store with tons of awesome kitchen items. This place definitely inspires. It does tend to be on the pricier side for things you can easily get half off at a store like Home Goods. If money is not an object and/or you need a specific item, this is your spot!

After scouring all my sources, I came in here on a whim looking for a shinwa to make apple butter with. Holy fuck! GORGEOUSSTORE! Super helpful staff; we did find one, but for the sum of $ 170 we opted for another kitchen gadget that would rise to the occasion of rendering my apple butter silken smooth ;) Super friendly, knowledgeable staff, very relaxed environment, the young gentleman even offered us a few double espressos to sip as we poked around the shop. Certainly worth checking out! What comes to mind is a more approachable William Sonoma, minus the pretentious clerks.

I’m very happy to see the store open up at Willowbrook. Love the assortment of tempting cooking items and great variety, and I was able to pick up my favorite salt. Also had two knives sharpened(first one was free and the second was $ 5). I only rated three stars because it seemed like the staff didn’t really know what was going on, and hope that improves over time. While the greeter was very pleasant, she didn’t know the answer to my question and the other sales people made her wait to ask her question.

Welcome to Willowbrook Mall, Sur La Table! I’ve never been in one of these stores before, so I was pretty excited to go explore after my obligatory stop in J.Crew.(They’re right next to each other, FYI, on the Macy’s wing of the mall. Used to be the old Bath & Body Works, I think.) I was lured in by the free coffee samples, but stayed to take a lap around & find out what was going on. My first impression was that it’s very industrial. There are TONS of kitchen supplies everywhere — on the racks, in baskets, & even hanging from the ceiling?! It’s like a cross between Williams Sonoma & Crate&Barrel, in a warehouse setting. The prices reflect the same: there are some cheaper gadgets scattered around the store, but they stock those as well as the super expensive-slash-droolworthy Kitchenmaid mixers. We saw placemats, aprons, pots & pans, mixers, coffee makers, utensils, & specialty gadgets. There’s even an entire wall section devoted to knives! I think that knife sharpening is one of their specialties… which is great, because the majority of my house knives are about as sharp as a marble. The staff is pretty friendly. We were greeted when we came in, & most of the employees had smiles on their faces.(To be fair, it’s the Grand Opening from now until Sept 15, 2013, so maybe we caught them on their best behavior? We’ll see…) Early assumption: judging from the prices & the range of brands available, this may just become a must-stop for any of my kitchen needs. Definitely worth a look if you’re in the market for kitchen gear!
