Great place for breakfast. Been going here over 35 years. Pancakes are very good. Gets crowded on Sunday mornings. There is a bar and they do have music on some nights

Ate breakfast here this morning. Tried to order a short stack of pancakes and a side of bacon for the boys to share; our server suggested we order a single for each instead. Ended up costing us more, of course.(We should’ve known.) Beyond that, my omelette(Mediterranean) was not very good. Too much Feta and too many onions. My husband’s home fries did not taste good. Finally, the two and a half tablespoons of orange juice I got were a dollar a piece. Hard spending $ 45 on a breakfast that was just mediocre.

Awful! Daughter found hair in chicken fingers. No apology or anything waiter wanted to see hair. Really? Do not eat there. It is also a creepy atmosphere.

Would not recommend this to anyone. Fish and chips tasted like it had been cooked and then microwaved. Charbroiled cod fish was rubbery and rice was under cooked. Corn was only edible part of the meal. Prices were high for such awful food!

We needed a little break from seafood! So we each had an app of little necks and oysters on the half shell. They were delicious and came out really fast. Then we got our American fix, the cheeseburger! I had the one with BBQ sauce and it was mouthwatering and messy. My husband had a traditional with american cheese. The meat was cooked perfectly and the bun was warm. We loved it! Our waiter was very kind and organized. The restaurant had plenty of space and some really cool old wood interior. The prices are extremely reasonable. I recommend a visit!

I wish that I could give this place less than 1 star. We come here pretty regularly for breakfast or a sandwich. And, every year we also come here with a large group of extended family. The food is reliably mediocre, but we come here anyway because it works. Today changes that. It took over an hour to be served breakfast. We had to ask for yogurt again when our server forgot to bring it out. Then, despite the fact the were asked for our portion of the check to be separated out(because of our small children), we were scolded by the owner(the OWNER!) when we prepared to leave because we had the AUDACITY to burden his server with separate checks. Just, no. Not again. Go here if you want sub par food, under a roof with poor service.

Arrived early to have dinner and to get a good seat at the bar for the USA vs Germany Women’s World Cup semi-final soccer game. We asked the bartender, Jody(the owner’s daughter) if she would put the pre-game show on. With utter disdain she said; «No, I hate soccer. I’m willing to put it on at 7 but not before then.» Yikes. She wasn’t even watching the TV and we were happy to watch with the volume turned down. Some of Jody’s family members were sitting next to us at the bar. Her conversation with them was colored with the F-word. I’m not a language prude by any means. However, Jody exuded negativity with no regard to her impact on others. I know people have bad days but for those of us on vacation and at the restaurant to share in some national pride, you would think she could suck it up, even just a little bit. The night ended well with the U.S. beating Germany 2 – 0. The celebratory atmosphere(I was able to block out Jody) was a nice way to honor my last visit to the restaurant. After more than 40 summers of going to the Lighthouse, I won’t be returning. I’d rather spend my money elsewhere.

Sam is a super awesome waiter, and the food was excellent! They catered so well to our three children and were accommodating in every way. I would come back year after year day after day!

Was not impressed with breakfast. Ordered an omelette with feta, no feta came. Hash very salty, waffle cold. Wouldn’t go here again.

The food inspired conversations about our elementary school cafeterias. The beer selection, though vast, is bland. If you like three varieties of Sam Adams and unspicy jalapeño poppers, this is your place. I chipped a molar on a rock in my quesadilla

We kicked off our vacation here and ended our vacation here. Candice was our server each time except once — she was a sweetheart! I really love their oysters and steamers here and their Pomelo Sauvignon Blanc! I had a few of those each time. This is the place to go when you want some seafood. I had a lobster roll hot with butter, it’s not on the menu but Candice asked the chef to do it — lobster rolls with mayo just gross me out. The vibe is a down home comfy vibe. The prices are great and so is the Oyster Stew. It is open year round so you know it’s good! Go here! GOHERE!!!

I’ve had the pleasure of visiting the Lighthouse for breakfast and dinner a few times now. Usually the service is pleasant and the food is average. Tonight, the service was rough, but the clam linguine was excellent! My fiancé’s dad had the jambalaya, as he does every time, and raved about it! He asked for it extra spicy and said it was the best he has had of the many times he has ordered it. This was the first time I ordered the clam linguine and I have to say, this is the stuff I crave when it comes to seafood based pasta! I absolutely loved the C.L. — it was loaded with clam and perfectly cooked pasta. I will return a million times over for the clam linguine. Great service or not!

Great beer selection($ 4.50 for Shed!) but just so-so food, at least on Mexican Night(Thursdays). Good small spot on Main Street though. Couple of plasma TVs. Probably overpriced for food quality, but we’re from Boston so expect better from casual Mexican food. Friendly, quick service to tourists.

I’m here with my three kids. They were very happy with their kids’ meals. The server is attentive and the service is fast. The mojito with fresh mint is delicious. I had the quesadilla grande and it’s good. Authentic Cape Cod. I basically are the lobster off the top and left the guacamole stuffed tortillas. I’m more than satisfied. The clam chowder was delicious and we’ve had a very pleasant meal.

I dined here on Mexican food night. It was ok. So you could call me a Mexican food snob. I was raised on Mexican food — and being of Mexican decent, my expectations are very high… And from California. One Unilocaler mentioned the guacamole was garlicky — yep, very. The salsa very sweet. They used little bell peppers instead of jalapeños and the chips were boxed/bagged. I had simple ol’ nachos, just to keep it simple and my daughter found a hair in her burrito. Ugh! I almost lost it. Anyway, my husband had the fisherman platter and was pleased. A serious fry fest. I have not eaten at many other east coast Mexican food places so it is hard to compare. But personally, I would skip it in the future if I find myself here again. Otherwise, I’ll stick to fish. Enjoyed the atmosphere and it’s super comfortable.

Desserts made from scratch! And then deep refrigerated? Our apple pie a la mode had the hot spots/icy chunks blend that screamed, «Yes, I was homemade, and then put in the freezer, and then microwaved. Eat me!» Stop screaming, dessert. Please. Cordial bar staff that gelled with the locals knowing they’d be returning more regularly than the obvious Main Street tourists(us, included) stopping in to see the Wellfleet populace. Still didn’t stop them from sussing out our tolerance and throwing us in on a few gags, which upped the comfort ante and eased the enamel sensitivity from our quasi-frozen pie. Reasonably priced beers on tap, crapshoot cocktails, tasty treats when your mouth thaws, and live entertainment happening on both sides of the bar. Didn’t sample the full spectrum of entrees, and wouldn’t be adverse on a return trip to Wellfleet.

Quiet day in downtown Wellfleet. Stopped for lunch just as they opened in the off-season. Waitress was very friendly and stayed busy. Restrooms are weird! I had the Clam Strip Platter. Sadly the clams were undercooked and tough. The hand cut French fries were rubbery and greasy. Probably my last trip here.

Decided to spend a few hours in Wellfleet with my partner in crime. We hit a few of the galleries that were still open and stopped by the Lighthouse for a light bite and a good beer. Normally I would have chosen some of the other venues nearby but the off season limits some choices. We went with some drunken mussels. I started with a Cape Cod Red and followed with a Long Trail Double Bag IPA. Mussels were OK on flavor but a bit chewy and over cooked. We may come back to sample more of the menu. This place has great ‘hole in the wall’ potential’ but think the food needs an upgrade.
