Really great, healthy items. Tried the«kitchen sink» rice bowl and the ahi tuna tacos with sesame slaw. The veggie chili on the bowl was fantastic!

Went back to OTB today to try breakfast, once again Tricia was my server I had a lot of questions she was very helpful and made sure my order was exactly the way i asked for it. The breakfast there was really great, once again another great experience at our local restaurant.

I hate to give a mediocre reviews but I feel this is deserving. While I expect some cost associated with fresh food and hormone free meat, some of the prices were high for the amount of food received. There were also issues with the quality of service and product provided. The Bad –The seared steak delight salad claimed to have arugula with mixed greens and sprinkled with blue cheese. The spoonful of graded cheese was not blue cheese nor was there one piece of arugula on the salad. I let the manager/owner know and he said we will see what the problem is… he never said another word or provided feedback. –I had an artisan burger that was medium rare even though I requested medium. This seems to be a trend there since I have seen this issue in previous posts. Again the menu advertised arugula and I did not see any. The burger was good but not good enough to overcome the experience we were having. –When I asked the waitress the difference between the bowl and cup of soup she stated«the bowl is bigger». I kind of figured that and asked her to get the quantity of each. The Good –My son got the kickin chicken wrap and he enjoyed it. It was mostly jasmine rice sprinkled with shredded chicken, but he seemed to enjoy it. The manager or owner was very friendly and I know he is trying hard. We saw the article in the local paper and wanted to give this place a shot, unfortunatly it did not meet out expectations. We prefer the smaller restaurants over the big chains but will probably not go here again.

So I’ve had 3 experiences so far at OTB Café. The first one was phenomenal, the second was ok, the third was the worst unfortunately. The food has decent flavor, depending on what you pick, and the price is fair. The service is the not so silent killer for this establishment. I very much like supporting local business, but when you aren’t hiring enough people there to provide excellent service is when I start to get bothered. You will wait extraordinarily long periods of time before anything is brought to you and even longer to get your check to leave. The attitude displayed is sorry we are slow, but just deal with it. They need to prioritize the order of service that needs to be given. The best thing they’ve got going for them are the cupcakes and those are brought from a different location.

Healthy organic fresh food! A rare gem in Wesley Chapel. We moved here from California and couldn’t find a health focused restaurant until we found OTB.

I stopped here with my parents and 5yo son as we passed through. We all very much enjoyed our meals: Southwestern Chicken(salad), Shanghai Chicken(rice bowl, but with plenty of lettuce and veg), chicken soup and Salmon sandwich. Why I love this place and wish there was one in Tampa: 1. This is the food I would make for my family at home, and the way I would make it — no microwave or deep fryer, all food is organic and humanely raised, lots of fresh vegetables and minimally processed ingredients. 2⁄3 of the menu is naturally gluten-free, and and there are several vegan options. The servings were large but finishable, chicken was hot and flavorful, and the salmon sandwich was perfectly cooked with a fresh ciabatta roll. I sometimes hesitate to visit heavily veg-centered restaurants because freshness can make or break it, and everything was very, very fresh. I am especially happy with with the great balance of protein and vegetables, and that the rice in the rice bowls doesn’t overwhelm the dish. 2. The atmosphere is clean and surprisingly welcoming. Nice comfy lighting, cushioned booths line the walls and tables in the center. The pictures on Unilocal don’t really do it justice. They don’t have a kid’s menu, but I ordered the salmon burger for myself and kiddo to share, and supplemented it with a bowl of soup, which more than met our meal needs. The only thing I might change to make O.T.B. perfect for my family would be adding a few items with more«fire» to the menu. We love really spicy food, and even more so with vegan options. :) That said, there was a bottle of Tabasco at every table. We will definitely be back when in the area, and hoping for continued success and a second location in Carrollwood!

Healthy eating at it’s finest! Especially if the owner is there, The food is cooked or prepared to order. This is a café with wraps, salads, rice bowls, and delicious interesting items like mushroom burgers! The place is clean & service is on the ball! Nothing fancy just clean and down right good eating!

Went here today with a new friend. We decided we wanted to go someplace that neither of us had ever been… and boy! Am I glad we did. Their menu was fun to read, the music was great to listen to… And the FOOD! OHMYWORD! Both of us had the Shanghi Chicken Rice bowl. I wasn’t sure what to expect, but when it came out, I think I might have sighed with delight. The fresh flavours danced on my tongue. The ginger soy dressing was just perfect and the rice and veg were crisp and delicious. The building isn’t much, the décor is straight out of Ikea, but once you get past that… ENJOY. You won’t find much better.

Great little café that I would try again. My visit started on a low note with the recieval of packages of true lemon in lieu of lemon slices. Apparently a place that claims to offer fresh food has no real lemon slices. This was off putting and I expected the rest of my experience to go downhill from there, but the food was good. My 6 year old had the pita pizza which was just an average pita with jarred sauce an cheese on top. Nothing special, but okay. I had the veggie burrito and my husband had the shrimp burrito, both burritos were large and full of flavor! They were very good. I loved the sesame slaw, you must love sesame to love it! The veggie chili that was included with then veggie burrito was lacking — beans and a watery sauce does not equal a chili in my book. Overall this visit was okay. Also they were out of tuna and beef, meaning no burgers or tacos. Plus apparently they have no wine and beer as they are«reapplying» for their license…

This is my second time going to the OTB Café on Bruce B Downs and this time it was better. The staff is always friendly and take care of you. I ordered the salmon burger and it comes with onions, tomatoes and arugula inside. It comes with a side of either fruit, chips or their sesame cole slaw. Today was the first time trying the cole slaw and it was refreshing with the sweet sauce! My waitress was phenomenal, very kind and kept me updated on the food or my coffee, etc. I’m one for hot sauces, she brought me their chipotle sauce and it went very well with the salmon. Finishing up my meal I ordered their organic Java planet coffee, hot, and the flavor was better than I thought it would be! I had my cup with three sugars, without cream tastes just fine! Next time I look forwards to trying their vegetarian burrito or veggie burger! It’s a relaxing place to sit and enjoy yourself, I would definitely recommend it if you’re feeling peckish!

I just turned 30! Agghh. Anywho, to start of my birthday weekend celebration I went to lunch with my parents and Jennifer H. My parents had gone to O.T.B about four times, and were fans. When I first heard the name, and ever since, all that pops into my head is «You down with OPP(Yeah you know me)». Yeah, I don’t know. Okay, seriously now. The location is a bit of drive if you live in Tampa. I am near USF, and the restaurant is in Wesley Chapel. It is located right across from the new hospital, in a sort-of strip mall, but nicer and smaller. The inside of the restaurant is very nice, with a focus on the color green, my fav. The booths are pretty small though, and the back of ours kept moving and bumping the one behind us. It was not crowded at lunch time on a Saturday, which is a nice change. As for the food, I was hesitant about the place because its focus is on healthy mumbo jumbo. They offer Jasmine rice, turkey bacon, lots of vegetables, and generally a lot of other things I normally think of as being tasteless. I was pleasantly surprised, though. The meal that most appealed to me was the Chipotle Club. I ordered the sauce on the side, because it sounded spicy, and I was right. It was pretty flavorful, with turkey bacon, lettuce, tomatoes, turkey, ham, and cheddar cheese on ciabatta bread. My mom really likes the Kitchen Sink Rice, with Romaine lettuce, jasmine rice, red onion, tomatoes, cucumbers carrots, pepper jack topped with vegetarian chili, green onions and avocado. That was also a good choice for my vegetarian sis. My dad also enjoyed his meal choice, the Southwest Chicken Salad, Slow cooked chicken, turkey bacon, tomatoes, cucumber, carrots, avocado, black beans and cheddar cheese on a bed of romaine lettuce. Served with our Santa Fe dressing. The service was relatively fast, and the staff was super nice and helpful. I am not that I would find much more on the menu that I would like, but it is definitely a good place to check out.

The vegetarian chili salad was scrumptious. All the ingredients were fresh and/or homemade from fresh organic ingredients. They play some so-so R&B in the background, but fortunately not too loud. It’s a great spot to have a lunch meeting. I prefer upbeat instrumental music, but this minor detail is overcome by the quality of the food. The service was friendly, courteous and prompt. I love that they have indoor and outdoor seating. They also have quick wifi and spots to plug in. Overall, the quality of the food and environment is outstanding given the reasonable price of the food. I don’t live in this area, but when I travel here, I’d definitely plan to eat here again! I chose this restaurant based on other Unilocal reviews and it exceeded my expectations. Water tested at 158, with 50 and lower being safer to drink. I didn’t drink it, but the food was fabulous.

We came in to OTB due to the stellar reviews it received, however we left a bit confused. We ordered the Shrimp Po Boy and one version of the chicken burrito. Underwhelmed is the only word I can erect at this time of review. What we ordered was bland to say the least and maybe some prefer simplicity– and there’s nothing wrong with that. I think we just expected more flavor and it wasn’t delivered here. The Po Boy had a Sricha Mayo on it but the overall sandwich fell short. My wife’s burrito also had tantalizing ingredients but when tried together– it missed the mark. I think when speaking of both– the Po Boy was the most disappointing. To top it all off, it’s hard to justify spending $ 31 on a sandwich, burrito, and two orange juices that were less than memorable. The one saving grace was the waitress– she was super sweet and patient with us and the menu. I hate to write a not-so-stellar review for a a small business which is trying to strike it’s own match in a rather competitive food market such as Tampa– but I think it’s noble to be fair and honest. I think OTB has potential and I urge them to look into offering more items that ignite the taste buds of someone who’s been eating sweet, spicy, and sour, and savory all his life. Maybe next time?

This is a solid Mom & Pop shop. Love that that they offer grassfed beef and organic food. The salad/bowl(had jasmine rice) that I got was delicious. Loved the sauce! Chicken was tender and moist and the lettuce was super green! The kids got rice, black beans and chicken from the kiddie menu and loved their meals. Little one ordered a kiddie cheeseburger. It was a pretty big burger(he’s 6). He ate the whole thing he loved it. I also ordered chicken veggie soup and it was good. Maybe a bit pricey for the small cup. Took a star as I was STARVING. The soup was supposed to come out first and didn’t.
