Kerwin Ronald D MD PC

I love dr. Kerwin. I have seen a number of dermatologists for this mysterious rash and he is the only one who gave me some type of relief and took a biopsy. All others just threw creams and steroids at me that didn’t phase me. Granted, the creams and steroids still do not work regardless but I know that I have a Dermo that is dedicated to helping me figure this issue out rather than saying its «eczema». Only deducted one star bc the wait can be long — but he’s worth it– and I wish he wasn’t so quick. But it’s a minor trade off.

Somebody needs to tell this dude that respect is not just a song by Aretha Franklin… it wouldn’t hurt to have some bedside manner! He fixed me up but didn’t leave me smiling afterwards… may I suggest any other dermatologist in the metro Detroit area. The only reason he’s getting 2 stars is because his office staff rocks and the magazines in the waiting room are surprisingly up-​to-​date! If you like a great office staff, but being disrespected by your MD, then go ahead and make an appointment!

I have been going to dr. kerwin for over 22 years! WOW! I take my kids & husband to him and yesterday I introduced my dad to him. He knows what he’s doing and does it in a very charming & heartfelt way. I’m not one for needles & blood but he ALWAYS knows how to keep the mood light and easy.

My husband recently went to see Dr. Kerwin to have some moles checked out. Dr. Kerwin looked at a few on his back and his neck and was ready to call it a day. My husband, before he left, asked him to take a look at a mole on his side and Dr. Kerwin told him that it looked fine, but if my husband was concerned with it, he would remove it. So, he did. A day later, my husband received a call from Dr. Kerwin’s office, stating that the mole that was removed on his side was atypical and that he would need to come back in to have additional skin removed around that area. So, the mole that Dr. Kerwin said looked fine and only removed because my husband asked him to, turned out to be the one mole that was an issue. When my husband was going back in this morning, I asked him to have the doctor check out the other moles that he did not look at during the first visit. Seems like common sense that if he has to be there again, because he already had one atypical mole, the doctor should take the time to check everything else out. Unfortunately, it was another rushed, quick appointment with Dr. Kerwin. The other moles were quickly looked over and Dr. Kerwin once again said that they looked «fine». Chances are that they are fine and there is nothing to worry about, but it’s not very comforting to us to know that Dr. Kerwin was already wrong about one of the moles and just seemed to dismiss my husband’s concerns this morning. He will go back in six months for a follow up. He will not be seeing Dr. Kerwin again and we will not recommend him to anyone in the future. Hopefully the next doctor at this location will be in less of a hurry and will take the time to provide more thorough care.

Dr. Kerwin is the BEST in Detroit hands down! I’ve been his patient for 20 years (god that is showing my age)! He is the most caring, sweetest, down to earth, funniest, doctor I’ve ever met! His office staff is one nicer than the next! The office is clean, sterile and very very well organized! Even though I live in Florida now– when I come home to the D, I always come and see Dr. Kerwin! And he kisses. Hugs me like no time has passed at all! I send everyone I know to Dr. K and everyone is ALWAYS happy to see him and ALWAYS returns to him! He not only has this office but 2 others as well! Everyone who knows me on Unilocal knows I barely EVER write a doctor review because its everyone’s own opinions on doctors– but the doctors I do review I feel are AMAZING, WONDERFUL, and have the BEST bedside manner, along with a GREAT staff! If you need a dermatologist OR you just want to have a laugh make an appointment you WON’T be disappointed!
