The service was awkward, the inside smelled funny, the food was average at best. Disappointing.

Food was very good, liked by all six in our party. Service wss just ok. The prices, as others have mentioned are astronomical which resulted my rating. If money is no worry for you, you will be fine here. Otherwise you’re better off somewhere else. I’ll post some photos so you can see what I mean. $ 17 for pancakes and two eggs?! Food was good however.

My entire family enjoys Dock Mikes– The food is always fresh and delicious. We have a few favorite waitresses — but we’ve never had anything less than great service. My suggestions –any of the pancakes or omelettes and the coffee is great. Note — cash only…

Prepare your stomach for a feast. Pancakes are great, tastier than at the Uncle Bill’s chain, fluffy and served with a good choice of stuffing/toppings. The house orange butter is a must-try. If there is a table on the patio, that’s a good seat to snag, very cute and homey(and you can bring your dog). We had a wonderful waitress who made sure we were fully taken care of. The bill ran around $ 60 for 2 plates of eggs Benedict, 2 plates of pancakes, and a couple of coffees, which I think is very acceptable. Eggs Benedict are a favorite of mine and I am very particular about them — they were great. The staff made all the accommodations we asked for(sauce on the side, etc). We will try to come back a couple more times.

CASHONLYFOR A OVERPRICEDBREAKFAST. Ok Belgian waffles. Actually, very disappointing for a Cape May breakfast. Omelets are good. Service forgot the home fries(kitchen had closed — it was 2:30pm on Memorial Day so I understand). I was told that the homefries would be taken off the bill, and I am discovering they were not. Service was okay enough. Refills for coffee were not done as often as one would like. We were one of the only tables in the restaurant. I am not one to enjoy salt on my food. Fries were lacking salt. Side order of avocado was very fresh, and a large portion. I must say, omelets are fluffy. Booths are very large(plus).

Way over priced, $ 50 for two people to have an ok breakfast is not acceptable. The building is clean and pretty but the service was lack luster, they brought my hubby’s breakfast out and then mine about 5 minutes later. His omelette was rolled up mixed eggs with the mushrooms and onions on top and a little in the middle but not mixed in the egg. The stuffed French toast was delicious but not worth the price.

Cash only, atm in back. Good food, excellent service, cozy atmosphere. Accommodating. Highly recommend it. They have a curry omelette that my sister loved. Good Caesar Salad. Solid on omelettes. I highly recommend this place for brunch.

Food was good, but felt it was very overpriced. Our waitress was also very rude– when my friend asked a question about a meal she spoke to her as if she was stupid for asking; when saying we were going to split something she responded«I really don’t care what you do». When we paid we weren’t asked how the food was or if we wanted change, we were just sent on our way. Probably wouldn’t return!

I enjoyed Dock Mike’s very much. There’s a great variety and I felt the prices were reasonable. If you want a cheap breakfast then go to McDonalds. You want a good breakfast then this is the place for you. I had a ham and cheese omelet with a side of sausage and it was good. I’ll be coming back.

Outdoor seating on a nice day. WIN! I have dined here many times the last 3 summers and the food and service had been good and consistent. Their omelets are fluffy and big. Bacon is crisp and tasty. On Today’s menu were pancakes which also were fluffy and tasty and satisfying. Side of homefries which were surprisingly good washed down with iced tea instead of coffee. A solid choice in Cape May.

A first impression is always a lasting one. Dock Mikes is a very comfortable place, but just way overpriced for what you get. We had two of their, supposedly«huge specialty omelettes» and they where mediocre at best. Couldn’t substitute toast for a pancake. Please tell me a breakfast restaurant that doesn’t do this? What we had was ok. But that’s it. $ 50.00 for breakfast for two, not including the tip. The best part of Dock Mikes was our server Debbie. Very engaging, great personality and just a wonderful positive person to be around. There’s better breakfast places. Won’t try Dock Mikes again.

The place is ½ empty so seat people will ya? The prices are the highest i’ve seen in CM for mediocre breakfast. 2 waters, 2 coffee and 2 plates with tip -$ 40. Ridiculous for a couple eggs and bacon. Got the waffle combo and could not eat the waffle! Dry lead brick– just horrible Hubbie ordered scrapple and eggs and it was paper thin & burnt ! I’m so disappointed! We used to visit the marina location when«mom» was always there! Wont return here– ever! We are Back to Red Store, Chalfonte, Uncle Bills, the Grand, mad Batter, Bella Vita or Georges! Plenty of other great places– not a tourist trap

Way overpriced($ 4 for a single egg, $ 2.50 for a sliced banana?!) and our server was pretty blah — never refilled my water, even as she saw me trying get every last drop out of the glass! Being charged $ 1.25 for water was the kicker. Not worth the $$$…

We have been going to Dock Mikes for years and have always had a great meal and friendly service, but I have to say that our experience today has changed my perception of the restaurant! We were a party of ten today… while i realize that this is somewhat bigger than the norm, the restaurant was only about a quarter full at 830 on a Tuesday morning. When we walked in the gentleman at the desk asked the number in our party. When he heard«10» he seemed very put out and just said there will be a wait. When he did take us in, we were not able to be seated together, but had to take 2 tables in an otherwise empty room. Then he insisted that each table had to have 5 people each… we wanted to do 4 teenagers at one table and the grandparents and four other adults at the second table but he refused to do that saying it had to be 5 at each because we needed 2 separate waiters… needless to say this was ridiculous! It really set the tone of the meal for me! The food was good and the servers very personable. However, it is unacceptable to be treated rudely and a poor reflection on the management of this restaurant.

Excellent breakfast! People are friendly and food is amazing! The restaurant was pretty busy, but the man who greeted us at the door made us feel like part of the family. This is one of my first times in cape may, but future visits we will definitely come back to Dock Mikes restaurant!

A pretty good breakfast spot. Lots of menu choices, and not the same old stuff. A little more expensive than an Uncle Bills, for example. Overall nice place, clean and friendly staff.

Cool little family place. Stopped by for breakfast and it was totally worth it. It’s a pancake house, so I ordered the pancakes. They were really good and would get them again. My wife ordered the Southern Sausage Gravy over biscuits and LOVED them. She is from Mobile Alabama and grew up eating this. It brought back memories of her childhood. That effin good!!! The service was good and friendly. Prices are reasonable. No credit cards taken; only cash… Have fun

Another winner for breakfast found thanks to Unilocal. Like a lot of the other places I got to try while down in Cape May for the week: it’s clean, good-sized, the staff is friendly and of course… cash only.(And they’re small-dog-friendly as well if that’s how you roll.) Their Nutella-and-fruit French toast was mighty delicious and provided ample fuel for all the walking that would take place later that day. They’re a touch pricy but worth checking out.
