Don’t get fooled by the good reviews, the food is bad any time of day. I read every review, the good ones are impossible to believe. Wawa’s sizzlis and any McDonalds breakfast puts Penn’s Table to shame. I told my daughter that they burn eggs, she didn’t listen. So she took some friends there and they burned her omelette, but they added a bonus. chemical after taste. Mediocrity in everything they serve. hot dog, burger, fries, turkey sandwich… etc… Penns Table needs new ownership… Clenliness??? The whole place is sticky, like a toddler’s high chair.. Don’t go there, don’t waste your money… Now you can’t say I didn’t warn you…

After hearing a lot about this place from the locals(apparently the Clintons have visited here more than once) we decided to check out the weekend all-day breakfast. From the outside it looks like a «sit down restaurant» but inside it’s a vintage-style diner with a menu heavily slanted towards breakfast and a few sandwiches and soups. We got eggs, pancakes and toast. Everything was nicely cooked, except maybe the toast was a little dark, but not burnt. Pancakes here are HUGE — don’t order more than 2 unless you’re starving or maybe aren’t going to eat anything else. Server was pleasant and efficient. You can probably get a similar type breakfast at many diners in the area but this one has the quaint old-fashioned college town atmosphere. I just wish it stayed open a bit later than 3 pm, at least on the weekends when sometimes I’m not ready to go out before 2 or 2:30.

Delicious food, good service. I had the Rueben — it was hot and yummy. Toasted perfectly, great flavor. I would definitely come here again.

This used to be one of my fave go to breakfast joints. Friendly staff and great breakfast. Haven’t been in awhile due to job change and was excited when errands took me back to WC. Waitresses still friendly, but breakfast was horrible-inedible. When the waitress stopped by and asked me how everything was, I told her that it was not good, very disappointing. It was pretty evident bc I hardly touched the food. The eggs were watery, the potatoes under cooked(as in still hard, raw). Her response was, «I’m sorry». — at least with a smile. That was it. I wish I had thought to take a pic of my plate so Unilocalers could see how bad this was. When I went to pay. I was asked again. «How was everything?» Again, I told her. I don’t like to make a scene in restaurants, but honestly I didn’t expect to pay for my meal. My iced was fine and I was ok to pay for it. The cashiers response was«I’m sorry, hopefully you’ll have a better experience next time». Sorry, Penn’s Table, you don’t really care about your customer. I will not be entering your restaurant again.

Penns table is a small restaurant that reminds of me of a diner. It was extremely busy because or the west chester holiday parade tonight but the wait was only around 15 minutes. After ordering the food came out quickly even though there was a large crowd. I had the Duke sandwich and it was prepared very well. If you like bacon cheese and hamburger this is for you. The stuff is always friendly and treat the customers like family. I will be back to eat here again.

Has been my favorite breakfast place for years. Staff and owners are friendly, the food is always good and there is something about the way the eggs are done which always taste good. I don’t live in town anymore but still drive in on the weekends to eat here. Definitely worth it.

Normally I would give 4 stars while eating in but today I ordered take out. I will never make that mistake again. The girl on the phone repeated my order correctly before hanging up. When I got there everything was completely wrong. I ordered a burger but got a pork sandwich. Ordered fries but got mashed potatoes. Ordered onion rings on top of my «burger» but ended up being charged for an entire side of them. Not a happy customer today.

Slow service. Took over 45 minutes to get food. The waitress sat a couple right away when we were waiting 20 minutes already. When we finally got seated we waited over another 35 minutes. It took 45 minutes to get a milkshake!

Cheap-ish breakfast food. Nothing overwhelming. We return a lot because it’s close and I’m not too picky about my eggs. Lunch is better imo. Staff is not great. Lots of younger girls that don’t really have the attentive waitress thing down. As I sit here I have empty coffee and water…

A nice little breakfast place with the usual suspects — eggs, omelettes, pancakes, etc. I ordered my usual — scrambled eggs with bacon and home fries. It hit the spot. Reminded me of a Jersey diner breakfast. It gets crowded here, but the service is quick and friendly. It’s that place full of regulars who all know each other and the people who work there.

Great spot for breakfast. Waitresses are all good, food is great and they get you in and out without rushing you. I honestly can’t say one bad thing about it. I have tried a bunch of places in west Chester and this is by far the best.

Penn’s Table is decidedly average. So when you walk in, you think to yourself… wow… this is it! Breakfast is served! And it is – by wonderful and friendly people. When you’re in Penn’s Table you feel like you’re a part of West Chester’s own secret breakfast society. It’s a nice atmosphere – a great place to go with friends or family and there’s almost always some variety of adorable dogs mooching for their owners’ food outside. I had high hopes. Then the food arrived. Okay. So. I don’t want to hate too badly – Penn’s Table serves up a decent breakfast. That being said – it is just decent. Nothing was so overwhelmingly delicious that I was inspired to ever return. I got eggs benedict, which was underwhelming compared to the other options in the borough. The boyfriend got French Toast, which was also meh. The home fries were average at best. Will I be back? Maybe! The allure of this place is definitely the company and the atmosphere… and hey – the price isn’t bad either! Unfortunately, the food elsewhere calls me much more strongly. CONCLUSION: a brunch place that tastes like a diner and feels like a comfortable bar. Quality: ehhhh… not a fan Price: but hey… my wallet’s still pretty full

Penn’s Table is definitely my favorite breakfast spot in West Chester. Service is friendly and quick, the food is on point and the price is just right. Eggs Benedict is my go to breakfast meal and I don’t think I’ve ever gotten an egg here that wasn’t perfectly poached. My girlfriend and I visit 2 – 3 times a month and they never disappoint.

ALWAYS a delicious and fast breakfast! The blonde hostess is on top of her game and the table turnover time means never waiting more than 15⁄20 minutes for a table. Staff is friendly and quick to refill your coffee. My favorite thing to order is the cheesesteak omelet which has sautéed onions and goopy cheese, so good! The only negatives I can think of: 1.) NOT good for groups larger than 4 2.) Really noisy(I don’t mind it but I know other people would find it to be a problem)

Love the food. Never a bad service. Kind staff. Old school diner food. You can sit outside too. Tight fit on weekends. They are very accommodating for your order. Only thing? Update bathroom and the front door is really hard to open. Clear the window seat of all the marketing stuff.

Good food, prepared very quickly. The menu is pretty typical for breakfast and it is cooked well. Nothing over the top, but a solid place to eat. They also offer outdoor seating. Come early and find street parking right out front!

A great breakfast spot in a great little town with lots of shops. If you like sausage with your eggs, their sausage links are excellent !
