Just down the street from United Van Lines. It’s 22° and the coffee is good. Watching the guy squeegee all the interior glass. Flawless. Like the Chorizo Breakfast Burritos. Food is decent. The ladies behind the counter are always chatty. Getting the stink eye from a guy wearing a Blackhawks hat, as I am wearing a Blues hat. Dumb guy stuff.

I would rate this place negatively if I could. considering I work less than a mile away, six days a week, and I need something quick and easy for lunch, I will never EVER return to this location for anything ever again. I always get a real simple meal, double cheese burger plan, medium fries and a large Sprite. I found a LONGBLACKHAIR on my burger. I went back inside and showed the manager. she said oh! let me get you another one. are you kidding me?! I don’t want another one, I want my money back! I got my money back, only for the burger. I will never return here and I’ve told everyone I know about this particular location being the most disgusting I’ve ever been to.

For parents, taking your children to a McDonald’s restaurant with a PlayPlace can either be a nightmare or an opportunity to get a friend to tag along, catch up and chat. I met my friend here with her three children(6, 4, and 2) around 7:00 p.m. It was a fun time for all of us, especially the 6 year old on winter break without any homework. It was mostly clean in the restaurant, but some of the tables in the play area were dirty and needed to be wiped down. There were only maybe two other kids in the play area, so we had it to ourselves… for the most part. I’m not against PDA, but since when is it appropriate(or romantic?) to fondle your girlfriend/boyfriend while your kid runs around the PlayPlace? This couple weirded us out big time. They’d nuzzle each other’s necks, while one of them stared at us. At one point, the girl practically straddled the guy. Whatever, the kids were all having fun so I guess it didn’t really matter. There are two problems with this PlayPlace though: 1. There is an open walkway, no door or gate, so smaller children(the two year old) tend to wander off into the main restaurant area. 2. We were approached at 8:10 p.m. by a young girl who awkwardly told us, «um, we’re supposed to close the play place at 8pm because we have to clean it.» She then gave us a look that said, «is that okay?» while she stood there with her hands placed on top of her head. 20 minutes later, another employee(even less authoritative if that’s possible) came in while we were bundling up the kids(and a «5 more minutes?» whine began from the six year old) and that employee again gave us the same spiel. My problem with that? The inside of the restaurant closes at 11:00 p.m. We probably wouldn’t have stayed past 9 anyway because of bedtime, but it seemed like someone just wanted us gone so they didn’t have to clean up later. Food is fine, but find another play place.
