I like this place, but they look at you funny if your not a regular sometimes. It is a regulars, local neighborhood bar. Decent prices. Sometimes a good crowd, sometimes not. I like the day crowd the best, but yet again if your not a tegular the bartenders who attract the customers to do the same, Look at you funny.

Ahhhh, The Cove. Bars from all over Southern California try to manufacture the laid back & relaxed mood The Cove emanates so easily like so much musk after a hard workout. As is suggested from it’s name It is truly the safe harbor from the storm of everyday existence. Just stop in and enjoy the lively libations created by any bartender that may be manning the station — Greg has handpicked and chosen them like lucky Pokemon so you are in good hands. Best bar for many, many miles. I’ve been a fan for a decade and look forward to more.

So a couple of days ago I went here for my first time. It’s casual. The customers were friendly, upbeat, and cheerful. The employees were also friendly and easy going. Bartender Marcus was nice and attentive. The cocktails were cheap with too much ice, but for the price you got your money’s worth since they do not water down the drinks. It’s not a fancy place, you don’t dress up to go here. My only problem is that it’s very small and claustrophobic. I’ll go back earlier in the day when I presume there is less people so I don’t feel like a sardine in a tin can.

I didn’t realize that I didn’t like dive bars till I came here. Really small establishment and they don’t play any good music. And I listen to everything! I’m open to a lot of different types of music but this place was playing nonsense. There was an older crowd here so if your in your 20’s and like to mingle, these people are in their late 30’s. I left at closing and only came for my friend because it was her birthday and they told me to meet them there. When I was leaving the older guys were being really creepy with me so I don’t like the vibe of pedo looking guys who are drunk.

This is my favorite bar :) I have been coming here for 5 years now. I was introduced to it by my boyfriend who has been going since he was 21! Greg and Marcus are my favorite bartenders here, definitely ask for a lemonade or a sweet tart shot. You won’t regret it! Everyone is so nice and friendly as well.

HORRIBLE… Went with my sister on a Friday night as soon as we walked in around 11 it was dead, old men chatting with the ONE bartender. My sister and I waited patiently at the bar for service after a while I finally asked the bartender if we can get a drink I even said excuse me because I knew I was interrupting his conversation with the guy right next to me he literally didn’t even make eye contact put his hand up and told us to wait then continued his conversation I couldn’t believe it so we just got up and left never again will we go here. Rude! We ended up at Tina’s, way better!

My first time experience at this small bar was amazing. They play good music, enough tv’s for everyone to enjoy a game, bartender is sweet, and the everyone is friendly. You’ll end up making friends that’s for sure.

Where do I start. The service is great. I loved the music and the fact they had a pool table. Their mixed drinks are the best and their staff are very helpful. I came with a few buddies and would definitely recommend it to my co workers and friends also at happy hour their menu is great and good prices !! I will be coming back !!!

Loved this place! Stumbled upon this little Jem the other night and I must say that the atmosphere and vibe were real cool. Cheap drinks made bomb by a sweet bartender lady. Will definitely be back! Oh and they carry Titos vodka ;)

I just stopped in for an afternoon beer. It was nice, but no draft beer :(the bartender older and not the friendliest, but nice whenever I initiated conversation. I think décor on the walls would help this place immensely

Getting the same vibe as some of the other reviews. If you are not a regular at this bar… you will really feel out of place. We wanted to try a new local bar for a quick drink, but just felt uncomfortable after our first drink so we left early. The bar was pretty small and only had a few tables.

Ah man, this place is great. I haven’t been to a dive bar in a while(and never in this area). I gotta say, it’s better than your typical dive bar. It’s more of a feeling, but here’s some reasoning: The bartender was pretty awesome and recommended some good drinks. I also felt pretty safe and comfortable here. Some dive bars are kinda tense, like a fight could break out anytime. Not here, though it was very relaxing. I had a good time with my one drink and I engaged in light conversation. The whole vibe of this place(it may look divey… It even has a pool table, c’mon!) may scream dive, but the atmosphere is anything but. Drinks are average-priced, mixed drinks are $ 6 and beers are $ 3.

Came here with my friend because I’ve never gone to a divey bar before… so we literally Unilocaled one in the area and went. I almost backed out because it’s so not my scene… It was pretty empty when we came in(about 9PM) and I had no idea what to order. It’s okay though… I asked the bartender if he made fruity drinks and he was like, YEAHLOTS. After several moments of indecisive-ness, I just asked him to make whatever he recommended(I’m glad he was nice and put up with me). I literally have no idea what kind of alcohol was in it, but it tasted like cherry and peach… pretty good. He made something with gin and citrus for my friend though, which I actually liked more. The place is small, the music wasn’t too loud, and it was dimly lit. Basically everything I expected from the movies(except not as crowded). Drinks aren’t super expensive, but not cheap either. A good place if you want to sit and chat with friends. Not very wild, at least the night I was there. After my first divey bar experience, I have to say it was everything I expected. Now I can go to future bars without feeling uncomfortable and lost! Funny story: I was asking the bartender about what beers they offer and my friend jokingly asked if they had Keystone Light for me because I had«too much college in me.»

I guess if you’re not a regular, then you just don’t get it. Went here for a few drinks before our movie started. Everyone seemed to know each other but I felt very out of place and unwelcomed by the patrons. I think next time we’ll just drink at home.

A-ok…drinks are fairly priced and the people all mind their own here. Don’t like that you have to buy music since a few doors down at Tina’s Tavern they have a DJ. But what makes this place different is they serve hard liquor, not just beer. It’s where you end up at the end of the night if you want to go out but not get dressed up and really«go out».(If that makes sense) anyhow, I’d return. Love that it’s close to home and gives me something to do on a slow night
