Big Lots

My mom always always raved about Big Lots, but I often forgot about them.
That will not happen again.
Big Lots is awesome! They have so many different things at awesome cheap prices. Their furniture prices are insanely cheap and the couches and chairs are super comfortable! I am currently in the process of purchasing (still need to do some measurements) two book cases for my place. $ 60 combined for both! That is literally unheard of.
They have rugs, curtains, kitchen items, cleaning products and even food. Most recently I visited Big Lots and picked up «Back to Nature» brand fudge striped cookies. a box of these runs about $ 4 – 5 in other grocery stores, including Giant Eagle and Whole Foods. What did I pay at Big Lots? $ 1.25 a box! An awesome deal!
They have tons of granola, cereal, canned goods and even a decent selection of gluten free foods!
They are also adding coolers/​freezers to this Big Lots and I am super excited!
Big Lots has everything. Go there before you go to any other store– there is a good chance they will have what you need and it will be a lot cheaper than the other places!

This store has great deals on everything from pet products, food, furniture to home decorations. They are always friendly and the store is in good condition. I wish they had more locations but I’m fortunate to have 3 in the areas I travel most.

I had never been into a Big Lots store before.
It’s what happens when you’re off on a weekday, have a few hours to kill, and a mother to keep company while she’s running errands. I hadn’t spent time with her in weeks.
I believe this used to be a Hills Department store. If not, it’s in the vicinity.
Yeah, lookit all this oddball stuff on the cheap, man! Polish jellies. Italian spreads. Danish snack cakes. Japanese noodles. Furniture. DVD’s for $ 5 (‘The Informant’, ‘Blade Runner’. ‘Boondock Saints’). Gigantic, table-​sized boxes of Whitman’s chocolates.
I was impressed.
The place is a tiny bit unkempt, but the employees were friendly and eager to help.

I love this place! You can find just about anything from furniture to gourmet foodstuff. Terra brand potato chips (beets & sweets! Yum) retail for $ 3.99 but at BL they’re a buck fiddy!
The only drawback is that once a product is gone its unlikely to replenish. I was getting Wolfgang Puck organic veggie stock for $ 1 and sadly, I think I bought it all up now I have to pay triple at GE.

I love big lots. Everything is so cheap you can never go wrong. I’ve bought a range of things here from candles to lighters to storage bins and tablecloths. It’s like a Walmart, but not a Walmart, a word for warning it does get similar patrons. However, it just has cheap stuff. If you’re looking for something pretty common and aren’t looking for a name brand you might be able to find it here!
