My hubby and I are away for the weekend and by chance we stopped in. So happy we did! It was pretty busy so we sat at the breakfast bar. Instantly greeted by a warm smile and a steaming cup of delicious coffee. The menu is straightforward and simple but when you walk in there is a blackboard listing the specials for the day. I had the tomato and avocado eggs benedict and my hubby had the regular eggs benedict. They were both absolutely delicious as well as the crispy potatoes. The service is great and very friendly with a warm and inviting atmosphere. We will definitely be back anytime we’re in the area. If you haven’t already been here make some plans to visit.

1st visit — homey atmosphere & friendly staff. I tried the Wednesday special, Beef stew over mashed potatoes & it was tender, tasty & hot. I will def. be going back!

Good and bad. My friend had a burger — massive, delicious– and I had scrambled eggs, bacon, toast, a simple meal that can go either way and it went the wrong way. The eggs were so unusually yellow and strange tasting, the toast was in a pool of butter, and the bacon was tasteless and limp. It also took almost an hour to get our food on a weekday when it really wasn’t that busy. They also had FOX News on the whole time, fine if you like it but I think a restaurant should have a more neutral station on. I won’t go back.

This local place is extremely busy and popular with everyone in town! Great selection of specialty pancakes. If you’re going on weekends expect to wait in line. service is mediocre. They often rush you. Last time I went the server asked if we were ready to order three times. We weren’t ready any of the times but finally we have in and just ordered. The rushed service is my complaint but other than that good food and a good place to meet up with friends.

Great food! The service was great. Lots of seating if there is a line just wait it moves very fast! Try it out the pancakes are amazing!

3.5 stars A bit of a wait for Sunday breakfast at 9am for 5 of us. The wait line was confusing because they didn’t have the sign turned around so that you could read the part that said«stand behind these signs and form a line if no table is available.» It was in the middle of the restaurant so you just kind of walk in confused. It would be nice if they put a sign in the front too to make visitors feel more in the loop. Food was good. Not spectacular but pretty good. There were a lot of pancake options and a lot of coffee syrup options. Home fries were great and fruit cup was excellent-strawberries, blueberries, and bananas and none had been previously frozen. Chocolate chip pancakes were nice-decently fluffy. Not bad! I’d try returning with maybe just the two of us and our toddler but trying to meet up with another couple just made the wait too long. They thought they’d have to put tables together but ultimately I said a booth would be fine.

I’ve been eating at Cristy’s since I was a kid and I make it a point to visit whenever I’m in town. I always tell people that these are the best pancakes in the world, and it’s true! I’ve never had a better pancake. There are over 38 varieties of pancakes you can order. My favorites are Pumpkin Apple and Blueberry Oatmeal Crunch, but the Reese’s Pieces pancake is always a must-order. If calories didn’t exist, I would want these for every meal. Cristy’s will always be a place to bring people to have the best pancakes in the world!

My wife and I have been going to Cristy’s for years and have always loved the food and the value, even though the service was spotty if you got the wrong waitress, but that all changed last week My wife and I went for an early breakfast last week and had the good fortune of having Anna be our waitress She was fantastic, friendly, Efficient and on top of our needs, the food came out, she was right there with more tea for the wife and more coffee for me, the food was hot, delicious and huge(I had an spinach and feta omlet) back to Anna I ordered salsa with the omlet and when I was done she showed up with a glass of water anticipating that I would be asking, and she was right, Great experience with good food, fair prices and great service

This place never fails me. Everyone talks about their pancakes and they really are all they’re cracked up to be. I prefer the raspberry crunch ones or strawberry chocolate chip. The hash Benedict is also incredible, with tons of crispy meat and awesome hollandaise sauce. If you show up and the line is long, definitely stick it out — well worth the wait.

I’ve tried and tried to like this place, because frankly, there aren’t many places to go out around here, but despite five attempts, I vote fail. Mediocre breakfast, overly sweet baked goods, steep prices(for what it is… Eggs and such). I don’t get it. Are they paying for so much advertising in the local paper that they always win the readers poll?

I drive by here about a few dozen times in the summer, due to being in Clinton on the weekends. I finally decided to give it a whirl and see what all the hype has been about. Honestly, it’s nothing special, just not what it was being made out to be. I had the banana chocolate chip pancakes, and even after ordering, the waitress asked me if I wanted just one? I literally held up my two fingers and said no two, and I also figured the word«pancakes» was plural. After about a 30 minute wait for our meal, I got one pancake. They corrected it very quickly though. I couldn’t even finish it anyways. I had to take the other one to go. It was a good pancake overall but I like mine a little more fluffy, these were more like«flapjacks.» Not a terrible experience, but not a great one either.

This place is always crowded so we finally made there on an off time and decided to check it out on a weekday for breakfast. The Food was excellent with satisfying portions. I guess they are known for the pancakes and they should be! They are huge and very good. Why only rated two stars? The only downside to this place was the customer service. The waitress we had acted as if she was doing us a favor for letting us spend our money there. Very rushed and unpleasant. Like I said, the time we were there was not super busy. It appeared that regulars get a little bit better treatment, at least they seemed to be greeted with a half smile… Too bad, but I think the poor attitude of our server will have us trying other places next time.

New favorite breakfast place! The pancakes are so good they dont even need syrup. The Red Ruby Grapefruit mimosa is better than expected.

It’s not a bad option if you’re looking to go to breakfast but everything is very greasy and service is nothing to brag about. It’s cheap but I think there many better options in the area.

If you like breakfast, Don’t look at anything except the pancakes because that is their thing. Since they sell them individually, get one of two flavor for variety and you probably won’t eat it all. Our server was competent but not that friendly but she appeared to not be the norm –others were more friendly! Home fries were bland –wouldn’t get them again.

Can’t really understand the community’s enduring fondness for this place, other than the fact that the food is cheap and the service is good and friendly. The *quality* of the food is what one might expect at any greasy spoon, and no attempt whatever has been made to upgrade to keep up with more informed, healthy food choices available in the 21st century. Questions about where the eggs, meat and milk come from were met with blank stares, as was my request for non-dairy milk(soy, almond) for my coffee. And speaking of coffee, what’s served here seems more like warm, coffee-flavored water — weak, bland, almost insulting. Come on people, you can do better than this, and you should. How about some local, farm-fresh eggs? How about serving up local Ashlawn Farm coffee from the roasters down the road? How about just one whole wheat option on your pancake menu? How about taking that nasty, maple-flavored corn syrup off the tables and offering real maple syrup instead(or at least offering it an option)? Right now, this is just bad food, irresponsibly sourced, thoughtlessly prepared. The management seems ambitious; would be great if they devoted some of that energy to what’s on the plate.

The only variety is in their pancakes. So many people enjoy it here but I have never experienced that wow factor. The service is never very friendly and the menu lacks creativity. I have never been for lunch or dinner but other than the pancakes for breakfast I have never been extremely impressed

Best breakfast at an inexpensive price I have found on the shoreline. God was plentiful and fresh. Omelets are huge, home fries are boiled and pan fried good but lack flavor. French toast is great. All meats are delicious. Will absolutely be back. Cozy atmosphere w a warm fire place. Lattes are fabulous!
