I enjoy checking out the salads at local eateries on the shoreline, 1. because of my gluten allergy, and 2. because they’re generally more filling than a small portion lunch. With that being said, Leon’s Special Salad is hands down one of the best on the shoreline. The chicken is seasoned unlike anything I’ve had(in a good way) and it’s surprisingly healthy! Not overly loaded with greasy meats, it’s just chicken, done incredibly well! I would love to give it 5 but Unilocal!reminded me to save that for exceptional places, otherwise I certainly would have given Leon’s a big ol’ 5 stars!

The chef’s salad is addictive. A small is enough for 2(or more). We’re doing grinders tonight and taking home a small cheese pizza.

We stopped at Leon’s hoping it would become a new staple in our weekend dining plans. Unfortunately for us, it will be a one and done. The restaurant was half-filled — the service was horrible — asked for no onions on salad, out it came with onions — asked for a Coke, waitress brought out a Diet Coke, my wife asked if the Calzone would have fresh mushrooms rather than canned — the waitress said ‘yes’ — then it clearly has canned mushrooms. We asked for bread three times — and when she finally brought it out it was the tiniest loaf of bread I’ve ever been served. The food was mediocre at best — an acrid tasting sauce. In an area with great Italian places, this is sub par in comparison. The Greek food menu items looked decent — which made us realize this is probably a decent Greek restaurant masquerading as an Italian place.

Warm, friendly atmosphere, family run and great food. I’d recommend the Greek chips & dip as an appetizer with any course. They also have great off the menu dishes lime quesadillas and Buffalo chicken mac’n’cheese. Excellent casual fare

Love this place!!! Wether it’s eat in or take-out they are consistently on point. Super fresh veggies and top quality meats and cheeses(giggity).

Visited for the first time on 10÷17÷14. The antipasto was decent. Had a pizza with lots of veggies and some sausage. I’m from Detroit, so maybe pizza is different here. It was only ok for me. The crust was crumbly like a cracker. My husband liked that, but I prefer a pizza crust that is thicker and not crumbly. They put lots of veggies, which was great, however they came out more«steamed» as opposed to being well cooked and a little crispy. It seemed like the pizza could have been cooked just a few minutes longer or something. Finally, the sauce was very thin and not as flavorful as I had hoped it would be. Maybe it’s a regional difference with pizza, but I’m used to robust pizza sauce. The service was okay, although a little more friendliness and a smile would have been extra appreciated :) All in all, if you’re starving as we were, then it’s an option. If you’re looking for exceptional pizza, there are probably other places around town.

Today was our first visit here for lunch. Their prices are very reasonable. The menu had many choices, pizzas for $ 12, $ 17 and $ 20, sm, med and large. They have an assortment of pasta dishes, grinders, calzones, fish and chips, etc. We ordered a large Florentine pizza and took home leftovers. Crispy crust, not too thick. We’ll visit again I’m sure!

I ate there twice with wife & daughter. First time I had a super Gyro dinner which was very good… we wanted to go again. and then the second, I had Mousaka imo was lousy. loaded with tomato sauce and not much taste. No bechemel. just cheese & tomato like a lasagna. Wife & daughter had the same shrimp dish. the shrimp were under cooked, as they were frozen and still cold in the middle… a total let down.

I’ve only had a gyro from here, but it was a damn good gyro which is hard to find in this area. Most gyros that I’ve had around here manage to be buttery and greasy, this was neither. Fresh and delicious!
