Absolutely love Steve’s! The staff are always so welcoming and treat us like we’re a part of their families The food is delicious and always tastes amazing! Even if there is a wait, they always try there best to get us seated fast. I highly recommend this restaurant!

Just had a great dinner at steves piccolo bussola! Celebrating my granddaughters 10th birthday. Food is served family style and the shrimp cocktail was the freshest I’ve ever had! The service was excellent and I felt right at home! Do I recommend this restaurant??? YESYESYES ALF

most of the food was about a 3.5, but for every solid dish there were faults that nullified any built up cred. the bread was warm and tasty, but the butter was ice cold and rock hard making it impossible to spread. all the pastas were slightly too watery and also slightly bland as a result. the osso buco, for $ 50, was too chewy and again too watery and bland. it had very little flavor and the rice beneath it was indistinct. my friends were not happy we paid $ 50 for a meat and rice dish that tasted like a worse version of $ 7 halal cart food.

This restaurant is busy all day. I’ve been here for a late lunch and also dinner. The food is fabulous, the portions are huge and the meats extremely tender. Prices are reasonable. There are plenty of large tables for big families. I’ve had the various veal dishes, chicken parmigiana, the rigatoni ala vodka, fried zucchini, stuffed mushrooms, etc everything was delicious. The only reason why I’m giving it 4 instead of 5 stars is the service. Waiters are efficient but not very friendly.

So when you walk in, you get greeted by Steve the owner. He is gracious, really old school, and a charmer. We talked about how he started his many restaurants and old friends, old recipes and good wines. Food was old style but oh so so good.

Always a quality meal! Portions are large and the staff is very accommodating. This is my go-to place whenever I am looking for a family style dinner. The baked clams and penne a la vodka are delicious.

I’ve been coming here for 20 years. I’ll be coming here for another 20. Great food. Family portions supposed to feel two. Feeds 3. Food is fresh. The sauces are to die for. Veal is always tender, as is the chicken. We have family parties here. A definite go.

Come hungry and with plenty of people! This is a family style Italian place, that serves food that tastes just like your great grandmother used to make before you were a twinkle in someone’s eyes! I wouldn’t recommend this place for a date night for 2 people and would only come here if I have a party of 6 or more people and have been for years! While I don’t come often, when I do, we are treated like family, as we usually go with a group of family and friends of about 10 – 12 people. Portions, as family style would suggest are HUGE, and prices are on-point for the amount of quality food you are receiving. Standout dishes include the Chicken Scarpaiello which my husband will not get anywhere else BUT here(unless he makes it!!), the Veal Marsala and you can not go wrong by ordering the Calamari for an appetizer! YUM! Minus 1 start for lack of taking a reservation especially now a days — Friday and Saturday nights have long waits, but the old man bar to get that cocktail is a hit!

One of my favorite Traditional Italian restaurants. My wife and I have been coming here for years and never had a bad meal, the food is always fresh and the staff is very friendly. The décor is very simple. Fried calamari, baked clams, penne ala vodka and chicken Parm seem to be our go to every time we come and it always hits the spot.

Wow Wow Wow, our go to place! Food is amazing! The best family style Italian food on long island. Joe and his father are the BEST people period and so is the food they serve! The staff has been there for years(waiters & bus guys) Linguine White clam sauce is the best, Marinara sauce served in the fry pan. Stuffed mushrooms are outstanding along with the baked clams! I cant say enough in this review but try it yourself and see what you have been missing! Lucio and Fabio and all the waters are the BEST and will make your meal a truly amazing one.

You’re certainly going to enjoy all the different Italian fare that can be customized based on your liking. All the normal Italian dishes always cooked to order with half portions and full based on your appetite. Plenty of room however on prime times might have to wait as reservations are not taken. Waiters are friendly and all have a unique personality. Always fun to have Steve or his Son the owner say hello. Baked clams, linguine and clam sauce, stuffed artichokes and chicken francese have always been our favorite. Veal, calamari and just about everything works! Enjoy!

Heartless owners. Do not book a party here, let alone eat dinner here. Will never deal with them again after the horrible experience my family had.

If your looking for a family style meal to break bread with your love ones, then I recommend this restaurant. A bit out dated in style, however Stuffed Artichokes, Linguine w/Seafood Diavolo, Chicken Scarpaiello and you cannot go wrong. Only can vouch for the WESTBURY location.

Hanging out with friends before the Dion Concert yesterday. This place is the most legitimate Italian Restaurant I’ve been at on Long Island since I’ve moved back here 12 years ago! By the way, the calamari appetizer is very well done and the pan of tomato sauce and basil is a big plus! The cold seafood salad is fresh and very delicious! I ordered it as an appetizer and it was perfect for me since I had already wolfed down quite a few calamari! The negatives: The bread could be served a little warmer. The portions are family style unless you mention otherwise. The place could use some updating and the front entrance is a weird setup. I thought we walked in the wrong door. Try it, you’ll like it! If you’re in the neighborhood, this place is a must.

its all about the SAUCE when it comes to Italian food and this place DONTHAVEIT ! the sauce here is fresh out of a can with that sour raw taste to it. we couldn’t get past the sour raw sauce to even taste the food the service: we had this big guy who sweats 1 gallon a minute then wipes his face with a rag he has in his pocket and then brings you food while holding the dish with his sweat rag… just as a good measure in case his sweat didn’t drop off his face in the dish(ekk) ! the second time i requested to seat on the other side so we could get a different waiter to try this place out again because i couldn’t believe it was that BAD… but it was… Thanks My Long Island Unilocalers For Once Again Recommending A Bad Place All In All — This Place Is Just Terrible Save Your Money For Literally Anything Else

This is my favorite Italian place to eat. The food is probably the best I have eaten. The owner Steve is always in the kitchen so you know the food is always on the money. I love the veal Spadina. It’s not on the menu you have to ask for it. It’s veal stuffed with provolone ham and basil in an oregano sauce. The best. Also the pasta panna is a favorite of ours. The baked clams are great and the fried calamari is perfect. I took family from Italy and friends from brazil here. They still talk about how great the food was. You have to try it you will love it. Everything is perfect. It’s family style so the bigger the party the more you can order and enjoy. It will be one of your favorite spots. The staff is first class. Treat you like VIP. There are good places to eat but this place is number one to me. Enjoy.

Family Style, Extra Salty. Very accommodating. Wear loose fitting pants since you will feel bloated after eating here.

Have been to this location as well as the Syosset location. The ambiance is very nice and classy. The food is family style, which I am not a big fan of but the food here is excellent. The mozzarella balls are out of this world! We get them every time we go here. They come out fresh and the sauce comes out in the pan to go with them. I would definitely recommend them! They are my favorite app at any restaurant! For dinner, we have been with other people and, although I can’t remember the specific dishes we’ve gotten, the food is always very good. When I go just with my husband, we always get the same thing — the gnocci Bolognese. It is homemade, fresh and delicious! Would definitely recommend this place!
