Jo-Ann Fabrics and Crafts

Well I normally don’t have a negative experience at Joanns, today was another story. I went in with my mom for fabric and when we finally got to the counter to have it cut the woman behind the counter was less than polite, she quickly snapped at my mom for asking if it was a remnant piece and said there’s no way because it was less than a yard. When she asked how much was left the woman didn’t even check nor offer to check she just assumed «more than a remnant piece» when my mom decided on how much she wanted the lady clearly peeved rolled it out in a huff and quickly finished shoved the fabric to my mom and called the next number. Sorry chick, nobody asked you to work here so chill out. Older woman at the cashier was even worse. When she asked if we found everything ok my mom informed her of the rude lady at the counter and firstly ignored her and continued checking us out, when my mom repeated herself she just huffed «we don’t assume that’s what you want» I didn’t ask you to work here, so maybe you should hire more polite people, it’s a craft store how can you be in a bad mood at a craft store

If I could negative star, I would. Special ordered a fabric from them, was told that was the best way to go. Called other stores in the state and they didn’t have it. Two and a half weeks went by and I heard nothing. Finally I called and got a call back that there was no more fabric, it never even got on the truck and that someone could have see that and notified me if they had run a report but no one did. So, now, 5 days before Christmas and I’m out of luck because people failed to do their jobs.

The fabric for the costume I’m buying is fantastic especially the white pice! They had a great price and 20%off everything that day. Purchased all the fabric i needed plus some sewing supplies for a great price! I cannot wait to make this and have a sexy and unique costume to match with my partner. After this costume ill be making many more purchases for do it yourself projects, cosplay, and fashion! I love how many options there are and it is much cheaper than craft stores. Also they have really cute holiday decorations.

The store itself was clean and stocked full. However the staff was rude and seemed very irritated with me asking where stickers and envelopes were. The first employee huffed n told us they had none and the second employee that I asked seemed to get almost upset that we were speaking to her n told us if they had any look by stationary n then turned her back on us. Upon looking myself some more I found both stickers and envelopes hmmm… No help from the rude staff.

Clean and well stocked. I’m used to small indie craft shops so shopping at Joanns kinda hurts my «shop small» heart — but you can’t beat their prices, and the staff — who’re all local — are always friendly.
