WAS as good as it gets, but it’s CLOSED!!! So disappointed… Please post if anyone knows where the amazing staff ended up. Brian Lewis to open a new place at this location.

Just heard the sad news, Le farm’s space was sold and will soon be closing doors. Luckily we got to eat here again over the summer and I have no idea when the doors will close officially, we hope to get in one more time. I just hope that they will reopen elsewhere because this place is truly a gem, it’s definitely sitting pretty at the top of my list of all time favorite meals. Nothing on the menu disappointed us, it’s rustic farm to table inspired dishes that are unique and so delicious. It’s an intimately lit space and a foodie haven that is much needed in Fairfield county. Fingers crossed that we see Le farm opening once more… in a new(hopefully larger!) space.

Have only been there once for an anniversary dinner. What we had were specials — but unbelievable. Ribeye with duckfat potatoes & romesco, and then my wife had the seared duck breast with wilted greens and pomegranate molasses. Crispy pig ear salad sounded strange, but I’d eat that #%*€ every day. Cocktails were so-so, but it’s food driven, not much focus on beverage. Go there when you can, the chef can cook like a mofo.

Happened across this place for lunch on Unilocal on my way across Connecticut. Absolutely amazing tomato mix salad. Had rabbit for the first time and it was delicious. Not inexpensive but worth a splurge. Country décor very authentic for the area. Fresh local greens were delivered while I was there. Cornbread with ice cream for dessert. Awesome.

I wish I could give it 4.5 stars bc it’s almost perfect! I’m a big fan of new American and this placed does it right. My husband and I are regulars and almost everything we’ve ever gotten has been delicious. Service is terrific which is huge for us — Staff is very warm and prompt. We are never kept waiting ever. My only complaint is the restaurant itself is tiny so seating feels a bit cramped. I wish they would move locations or expand next door. If they were located somewhere larger with a view instead of in a neighborhood center, I give 5 stars all day long and we’d probably be back more often.

We were in Westport to shop for the afternoon and in the mood for a good dinner. So we googled farm to table eateries in the area. Lefarm came up first on the search with great reviews. We went to their website to view the menu and were immediately sold. However we were disappointed but not surprised when I clicked on «reservations» and it showed the only available time slots: 9:15 and 9:45pm. It was 5:15pm. And we were starving. So we decided to drive over still. When we pulled up there was a man outside the restaurant who was watering and tending to outdoor plants. I got out of the car and asked if they had any availability. He was very friendly. He told me to follow him inside the small cute restaraunt(with a country kitchen meets modern industrial décor) and we asked the hostess. She said she could make it happen if we could be seated right then. We were thrilled. And in looking back at the night, very appreciative we had a chance to eat the amazing food we experienced. We shared four plates: the rissotto balls, local buratta, beef brisket and beet, kale and sausage salad. Every dish was perfectly cooked– a perfect balance of flavors and freshness. As if they had just hand picked the spices outside(and maybe they did). The food was subtly filling but not where you feel sick or overly full. The drinks were also mixed to perfection. Five stars and great service!

Sometimes you just fall blindly in love and as much as you search for some teensy annoying trait, you just can’t find one. That’s how it was at Le Farm. This gem has been on my radar for a while, but I don’t make it down to Westport much. The simple, barn-board sided room, painted in gray and cream with hanging drum lights, leans modern-country. Teeny it is; make dinner reservations well in advance or go for a late lunch. Crispy is my favorite adjective when it comes to food, so I ordered a plate of crispy chicken with crispy new potatoes and sauteed Tuscan kale that was so perfectly prepared and flavorfuI, I didn’t mind lunching solo. The enthusiastic and awesome Chef de Cuisine, John Naughright, gave me the run down of their nose-to-tail ethic and mindful sourcing, almost solely foodstuffs from Connecticut. The staff is sweetly attentive and the dessert card had many of my favorites(pot de crème, sweet warm cornbread, panna cotta). It’s sophisticated yet simple food, cooked with care(snails, tongue, beef marrow and local burrata were on the ever changing menu) and you’ll come away desperate to return. p. s. Good to know: The Whelk, chef/owner Bill Taibe’s second restaurant with a sea-centric point of view, recently opened by the Saugatuck River on Riverside Ave.

Salad and their mixed drink was outstanding. I tried the brisket which was a little heavy for my taste. Finally may I suggest to avoid bacon on the otherwise amazing corn bread dessert. Lovely staff and appealing décor.

This place has been around for several years, but my wife and I had avoided it because of rumors the food was over-priced and reservations hard to come by. Curiosity finally got the better of us, however, and we went last night and now regret all we’ve been missing. The food is fantastic, the ambience pleasant and the staff friendly and attentive. The prices indeed are not low, but still surprisingly reasonable relative to the quality provided. I had the braised pork belly and my wife the smoked trout — both of which were excellent. Then we shared a dessert which was also quite special. While we obviosly haven’t sampled enough yet to be making sweeping judgments, we came away with the impression that this might be one of those unusual places where every item on the menu offers a new treat. What I liked best about it though was the atmosphere. I’ve lived in Westport for 30 years and can still remember the last vestiges of the rural culture that used to be pervasive here. LeFarm has managed to recreate an echo of that with its intimate dining space and rustic furnishings. This sort of thing can be pretentious sometimes but these people are making it work. The experience is conducive to relaxation and good conversation. We’ll be back, and I highly recommend LeFarm to others.

This place is a gem!!! I’m so glad i found this place. Love the ambience. Reminds me a lot of Williamsburg. I love it. Can’t rave more about the food either. They are all so different. We got the risotto ball as everyone else recommended on help. very generous with the bacon and portion. But a bit on the dry side I must say. But can’t complain! Main course I got the bone marrow… omggggg…I haven had this in awhile. Was so happy to find this here. Yummy and reasonably priced $ 18. We also got the chicken dish and some fish dish. They were all outstanding. yumm. I would come back again to try other things for sure.

I just don’t get it… sorry. I was dragged here by others for lunch. It’s a hole in the wall restaurant with pretentious owners who think they have created the miracle of farm-to-table and, therefore, should be able to charge insane prices because they’re located in Westport, CT… BIGDEAL! I was left totally unimpressed by everything I ate at this place, which is actually in a kind of a small strip mall, and basically caters to people who think that paying more for less must be a good thing, and are happy to do it. I walked out hungry and frustrated.

We have been waiting to come here for years. Since we finally moved back to Westport, we decided to finally go! Cute place, great staff, and wonderful wine and cocktail menu. The french press coffee and port after dinner were also very nice. But, it ends right about there. I hate to say this b/c I *really* want to give this place 5 stars, but it was so disappointing. We were expecting more based on all the hype, but honestly the food was just okay. There were a couple of highlights, like the Stonington Scallops and the Sea Bass(the fish was cooked to perfection, but the lentil base it was served on top of was not very flavorful and the lentils weren’t fully cooked). Notwithstanding, we’re still going to try The Whelk. For a great meal in Westport, I would rather go back to Vespa. Or travel a bit out to Schoolhouse of Cannondale or Almond+Oak. Same price range — same level of service — better food.

What a little gem near downtown Westport. This tiny little restaurant reminds me of a Manhattan space because it must only seat 50 people or less. It’s a farm to table concept and is decorated as such — rustic charm. Our waitress was sweet and helpful — she helped us choose three cheeses to start, all of which went perfectly with the house blend wine. I wouldn’t say they’ve got a five star wine list, but the house blend was tasty and very drinkable. It went with everything we ate. The fried risotto balls stood up to their other reviews. The risotto was creamy but not too mushy and the bacon fat sauce that came on top was divine. Not for those on diets! The portions are huge, so we just split the burger for dinner. It was also large and well cooked(we ordered medium rare). It came with potato wedges cooked in duck fat which were also delicious. We’d recommend this to friends in the area, but definitely make a reservation because it gets crowded and there is limited seating.

A pleasant surprise amid so much hype. While the reviews do it justice(and then some), our experience at Le Farm was not nearly as knock-your-fancy-socks-off as one might be led to expect. In an amazing way. Very small, rustic, well lit and bustling. The space — or lack thereof — lends itself to a cozy, almost communal, farmhouse kitchen feel. The staff follows suit in efficient friendliness and our waitress was eager to share her favorites as we looked over the menu. We ordered the braised pork belly and foie gras to start, then the burger(his) and cauliflower and grits(hers) as our mains with the local greens to share. The pork belly was heaven sent and the smoked trout raised my cauliflower and grits to an absurd level of deliciousness. The burger, as promised, was awesome and the crème fraîche dressing on the salad was a subtle finish to a really nice mix of fresh flavors. The only flaw(albeit minor) to a most perfect order was the presentation of the foie gras. The serving size overwhelmed the other flavors and textures instead of complimenting them. I loooove foie gras, but it was a bit much. Not that it mattered. I spent days dreaming of the meal. All of the praise for Le Farm is well deserved. A hidden gem! Literally. We drove past it two times.

I went to Le Farm on recommendations from a few friends and I will not go back. We got the fried risotto balls, the Amish chicken and the rabbit. Each of these dishes were salty to the point that all I could taste afterward was salt on my lips. I anticipated the risotto to be salty, but not the other dishes. Not worth the rave reviews I read nor the cost. On a good note, the staff was friendly.

Our food was excellent. the service was good, but the coffee arrived after dessert, which is a pet peeve of mine. the bread pudding dessert was outstanding as was the pork belly appetizer. the menu changes quite a bit so a return trip is warranted.

First time here with wife. Wonderful ambiance sets the proper mood for the«farm to table» experience. Overall dining experience and menu was reminiscent of places like Blackberry Farms or Blue Hill at Stone Barns. We had the risotto balls, foie gras, and scallops to start. Entrees were the wild striped bass and flank steak. The entrees were accompanied by just foraged chanterelle mushrooms. Everything was superb. Wife mentioned the ample seasoning/sodium levels of the food but hard to get away from that when dining out.

LeFarm is LeeeeeGit! Chef and owner Bill Taibe is one of those well respected culinary masterminds where everything he touches turns to gold. A three-time James Beard semifinalist for Best Chef: Northeast, Chef Taibe sources seasonal and local ingredients and looks to «punch-you-in-the-face» with flavor. Master Chef Taibe, you can punch me in the face any day of the week with your exquisitely executed cuisine! I’ve been to LeFarm twice now and my most recent lunch experience confirmed that our first dinner experience wasn’t a fluke. The space is extremely tight, but the interior décor is spot on with it’s rustic, farmhouse styling. I particularly liked the mirrored barn-style windows that make the narrow space feel bigger. I recommend coming here for lunch, where you won’t need to make a reservation weeks in advance and will have additional elbow space for a more intimate dining experience. I’ve also had the pleasure to dine at his other new venture, The Whelk for New Year’s Eve dinner and I’m beyond excited to pay them a second visit for my wife’s birthday dinner tomorrow. Both of his restaurants serve dishes that won’t disappoint and I’ll highlight a few that we had the pleasure of devouring during our LeFarm experiences. One last note, he just opened a Japanese style izakaya also in Westport called Kawa Ni and the positive press and hype look very real. Can’t wait to get my ass over there to give it a try myself. You can create your own tasting menu off their small plates, which is the way I recommend you go at all of Chef Taibe’s restaurants. Here’s what we tried at LeFarm: 1. Grass Fed Beef Marrow — OMFG, what a beautifully done marrow with the rich, fatty marrow being perfectly complimented by the tart parsley mustard, all spread over delicious potato-rosemary bread. 2. Fried Risotto Balls — Served in a cute mini cast iron pan with bacon-clam butter and fried garlic, these giant balls was a masterpiece. If you’re like me, you’ll be spooning every last drop of butter and mini-strips of bacon all over your giant balls. Get your head out of the butter, I mean gutter, I’m talking about risotto balls here! 3. Roasted Amish Chicken — Think this is just a flat, bland, boring chicken dish? You are SOOO wrong and next to the JW Chicken at Barbuto, this is the best chicken dish I’ve ever had. Served with a side of pomme sarladaise(potatoes cooked in duck fat) and sauteed greens, this is a dish that will haunt your dreams in a good way. 4. Stonington Scallop Crudo — WOW… crisp, refreshing, wonderfully fresh. The rich buttermilk contrasts so well with the fresh peas and watercress, and finished so well with the acidity of the lemon. What a beautiful dish to wake up your senses and rejoice on how simple, fresh food can make you feel.

LeFarm is LeGit. Aside from a few misses when it came to dessert, this was a great experience and certainly boasted some of the best chicken liver I have ever had. So yeah, we had a kale salad with tripe and chicken liver with toast to start. The kale was great and the tripe was very well-fried and crispy but it did have that kind of bathroomy tripe aftertaste. The chicken liver was outstanding, honestly one of the best I have ever had. Served on rosemary buttered bread, it was silky and rich and complex. My girlfriend and I both ordered the shrimp and grits. The dish was buttery and awesome and very nicely seasoned but not hands-down the I have ever had. A solid 8.5 or 9 out of 10. So, awesome meal. The desserts were a little less than superb. I think we might have just ordered the wrong ones. A white chocolate bread pudding was dry and really packed with bread, it needed considerably more custard. We also got a honey cornbread which was pretty so-so. Anyway, this place is outstanding for CT. Highly recommended and very yummy. I think we should have ordered the budino…
