Was very disappointed to see the small selection of froyo, also the strawberries where soft and i was disappointed they didn’t have hot fudge, the manager wasn’t very welcoming either, i was over all not satisfied with the crêpe that i ordered was supposed to be strawberry and chocolate sauce it had little to no chocolate sauce and a tad bit of powdered sugar, any way wont be returning i rather much go to sweet frog.

Meh. 6 average choices, average flavors, average toppings. Not sure why but it bothers me that they have styrofoam cups.

I love this place. My husband thinks it is a rip off to pay so much for frozen yogurt. But this is my review! I love that I can try different flavors and get as much or as little as I like. And then choose all my own toppings, again, as much or as little as I like! I try to find a reason to come here each time I am in my home town of Westport.

I thought this place was great — to clarify their pricing scale, you grab a cup(after being offered as many little sample taste cups as you’d like), fill it yourself with as much of any of the 6 choices of frozen yogurt as you’d like, top it yourself with whatever toppings you want, and they weigh it and charge by the ounce. It was no more expensive than Pinkberry and you have a lot more flexibility in getting as much or as little as you wish. All this being said, the frozen yogurt I tried(chocolate and cheesecake) was creamy and flavorful, and there was a decent if not dazzling array of toppings. The peanut butter sauce was a little thin, but not bad. If I want total choice and don’t mind slightly more limited topping options, I’d come back here in a heartbeat.

Sparse options, but tasty, COLD, delicious froyo. Not much for fruit toppings; lots of candy.

I too am spoiled by the Southern California versions(Menchies… specifically the one in South Pasadena!), so the price is shocking, the 6 machines seem stingy on flavor variety, and after the amazing topping bars out west, it’s hard to get excited about Top This. The other enormous difference is that at Menchies the staff is delighted you’ve walked in the door(yet again *sheepish*) and there is a STACK of little cups for«sampling» the fro-yo flavors. At Top This, the women who entered the store before me were asking about the day’s flavors, and I saw the staff member reach behind the counter… where indeed there were some tiny cups, presumably for tasting purposes. He seemed to think better of it, and never offered one of those little cups, but just kept *describing* the flavor she asked about. So while the $ 3+ cup I left with was good(I had never spent more than $ 1.50 before), the limited number of machines, limited number of toppings, and the stingy attitude left me bereft for California. And there was NO marshmallow syrup either! Just another expensive downtown Westport novelty that should soon wear off…

This place is more expensive than your average froyo place.(I think I paid around $ 12 for 3 people who all ate average serving sizes), but as Kelly M. pointed out, it’s probably due to the location. Anyways, I had the berry yogurt as well as the original, and both were pretty good. The one thing that sets this place apart from Pinkberry is that you can choose how much of the toppings(of which they have about a million including heath bar, gummy bears, peanut butter cups, oreos, assorted fruit, sprinkles, etc…) you want from the toppings bar they have. You just serve yourself, which is convenient. Basically I deducted a star for the expensive price. But overall the place is clean and welcoming. Would come back in the future if in the area.

The only reason this place is getting 3 stars rather than 5 is the price. I’ve been to quite a few similar places in NYC and I’ve never paid as much as I do here. The yogurt is good, the place is pretty clean, and the toppings are ample, but I’m probably not going to continue frequenting this little shop once the Pinkberry opens on the post road in Fairfield.

Not bad… not the best. I’ve been spoiled by the Southern California self-serve froyo places where you can get a giant tub of yogurt, choose from 15 flavors and every possible topping(lychee! cheesecake bits! Mother’s animal cookies! graham cracker pie crust!) for $ 0.30/ounce. When I realized that I was paying double the price for half the selection(in a tiny little cup, too) I was disappointed. The toppings I chose were fresh, though, and the yogurt was tasty. I glanced in the kitchen and saw their interchangeable flavor labels and it looks like they have the ability to have some good different flavors, but there are only enough machines to hold six at a time. I do have to assume that the high price is due to the location… STILL, there aren’t many places around here like this yet. I’m sure they’ll pop up everywhere over the next year or so, but for now, Top This will do. It’s a clean, cute little place. Lots of families. Lots of children. Friendly staff.

i love this place! i love fro yo and it seems hard to find a place with good fro yo. The first time i went I was a little shocked to see 2 cups was about $ 13, but when i thought of other ice cream places, i realized pricing may be just as pricey? Whats nice is that you pay by weight, so if you really only want a tiny bit, you only need to pay for a tiny bit! But, once I took a bite I fell in love! it was so good!!! Every time i go to the beach in westport, I stop there too.

VERYVERYEXPENSIVE!!! I have never written a review before, but I was compelled to write about the new Top This Yogurt in Westport. I had been to a similar type Ice cream shop in Florida while on vacation and so I thought I would try this new local spot. The store itself is cute and immaculate, the selection of yogurt was fine and there was a nice selection of toppings. After filling a cup of yogurt(equivalent to a carvel regular) and topping with a sprinkle of granola and coconut I brought it over to the register to pay, here is the shocker $ 7.60 for a cup of yogurt !! I almost left it on the counter I was speechless but I took it and left all I could think was thank goodness I did not have my kids with me. Live and learn Save yourself some money and drive to Stews it’s much better and about 1⁄3 the price.
