One of the best restaurants in Old Wethersfield, Andre’s/Aroma excels at being a coffee shop but I’m here to talk about burgers, yes, burgers at a coffee shop. The burgers here are the best I’ve ever had. I was telling one of my friend’s once, «hey, you know who has good burgers? This place in Old Wethersfield called Aroma-» at which point he cut me off with«YES, THOSEARETHEBESTBURGERS I’VEEVERHAD». This is a man who never gets excited about anything and he was beside himself talking about these burgers. They’re only served during the late hours, Thursday and Friday nights I believe but they are a must-have if you’re in the area. Even a simple cheeseburger is cooked with a perfectly toasted buttery bun, perfectly melted cheese, and the burger is cooked to your exact request with no charring or nasty crunch on the outside. He also has lots of options for specialty burgers, I try a different one every time I go! It’s especially great in the summer as you are permitted to BYOB and sit outside on the patio by the sidewalk and see the evening life of Old Wethersfield and probably run into an old friend. One of Wethersfield’s finest institutions.

New to Wethersfield and this place came recommended to me from a resident. It did not disappoint. Bagels are on point, tons of options, and service was great. Super happy to have a place like this in my neighborhood.

Got a breakfast sandwich and a coffee. Sandwich was made fresh and perfect. Coffee had a weird bitter taste(similar to Starbucks), but was fresh as well. Counter person was very friendly and service was fast. Café has a few bistro tables outside, a row of counter ht street-view window seats, a small area for a medium size gathering(think about 8 – 12 people), and a narrow area with few 2-person tables. Cute overall, and has both breakfast and lunch items :) Nothing wrong with the place a nice place to grab a bite.

Every time we come in here we are fully impressed. This is a true hidden gem in the heart of old Wethersfield and is loved by locals. From the breakfast to the burgers, everything is fresh and delicious! The owner is always so friendly and you when you leave you are already planning your next trip back!

Don’t let the exterior of this adorable little shop fool you. All is not what it appears to be. Like my favorite breakfast sandwhich the«pot of gold» can speak for the hidden gem this place is. I value quality fresh ingredient but specially with my breakfast because your first meal of the day can make or break how your day goes. As much as a piece of my heart belongs to starbucks for its fresh brew no frozen breakfast patty will compare to the fresh sausage egg n’cheese sandwhich at Aroma, and it has to be said that the caramel latte is no joke here either. :) The interior is small but inviting with its glass Ikea tables and chairs. I see the same crowd here each time I come. The loyal followers should tell you that you can’t go wrong making this spot your new go to breakfast place.

As me and my girlfriend are Wethersfield natives, we spare no expense stopping into Aroma. Usually after work on Fridays will stop in and grab a bite to eat around lunch. Let me just say that the owners and the people who work there are great at what they do and the sandwiches and burgers whatever you want to eat are always top-of-the-line. My best suggestion is if you go there for breakfast grab the atom bomb it literally is the best breakfast sandwich You’ll ever have.

Amazing food and service! Small owner runned place in Old Wethersfield with a great staff. Everyone pays attention to detail. The menu has great creations for both breakfast and lunch. On Thursdays and Fridays there is an extra treat in the evening and one of the best kept secrets. Aroma Bistro serves the best burgers in Connecticut. The creative burgers they have are mouth watering and just plain great. There is a veggie burger option that lives up to the owner’s high standards. They also cater home and corporate events. Always a hit! If you haven’t visited Aroma Bistro, you’re missing out on some great food!

Last night my husband and I went to Aroma for burgers.. wow, was it delicious! I had the most unique and flavorful burger ever, the Ali Babbs… burger topped with smoked gouda, spinach, sun dried tomatoes, and a curry mayo. My husband had the special.. burger with doritos and fun ranch sauce. Is byob so it was extra nice to sit outside with a beer and enjoy the burgers. Will be back!

Been going to Aroma Bistro for almost two years. The food is great. The menu is extensive and since I started going to Aroma, it has changed multiple times. You can choose from breakfast sandwiches, lunch sandwiches, and different combinations of those. I’ve had almost everything on the menu, but I would recommend the Texas Roadhouse panini or the Atom Bomb hungry man breakfast sandwich. The bagel chips add a unique crunch and come with most sandwiches. The cinnamon raisin ones are the best. The Asian coleslaw is a perfect complement as well, and isn’t too strong. The bread selection is phenomenal. Sliced bread bores me, and Aroma has a lot of options, so make sure you switch it up when you go. And when you do go, get yourself a cookie afterwards. You won’t be disappointed. Barely crunchy on the outside, soft and chewy on the inside. Aroma Bistro is nestled into Old Wethersfield in a fantastic open location. Can’t wait to eat outside once it warms up!

Very good food! The sandwiches were delicious! I had a bagel with eggs and mushrooms –yummy. My husband had a croissant sandwich with eggs and bacon — also very yummy. The sandwiches are on the small side, but that’s what I prefer. Would recommend visiting!

Hometown feel! Wide selection of baked goods. Good for breakfast or lunch. My boyfriend and I stopped by Aroma Bistro for the first time this weekend based off of other reviews. We were happy to see the selection of bagel sandwiches available, and ended up ordering some ourselves. They were great and cheap too! The interior of the place is a little small, especially given how busy it was on a Saturday morning, but this added to its small town charm. Customers were a true mix of young and old, and everyone seemed to know at least one other person there, or at least have a smile on their face! Some small downsides here — the coffee was a little weak. Also, we treated ourselves to an apple turnover and a butter crumb cake, which were a little disappointing. I’d most likely come back for a bagel sandwich on the run, as an alternative to Dunkin.

Good food, nice atmosphere. Staff is friendly. The food was good. I got a signature sandwich for breakfast. It was ready in a couple minutes. Price was about right. Perhaps they should offer more drink options(?), but overall a good place to dine.

Such a cute breakfast/lunch spot right in my backyard. I had tried their food several months ago at the Taste of Wethersfield but this was my first time dining at their restaurant. It’s outdoor appearance might cause one to pass by but it’s one of those places great food awaits those whom walk through their door. Aroma Bistro breakfast and lunch all day and their menu is comprised of a variety of thoughtfully composed sandwiches/paninis, burgers and salads. Additionally the restaurant also sells coffee and espresso drings but as I was already super caffeinated so I skipped, I opted for a bottle of Snapple For my meal I ordered one of the specials listed — A chicken pesto panini with mozzarella, roasted peppers on rosemary foccacia with a side salad. I also ordered a cranberry almond salad to split with my dining companion Mark C. While we waited for our order we were able to enjoy watching the foot traffic of Old Wethersfield and enjoy observing other patrons whom seemed to be regulars. In no time our meal was brought out and it was wonderful. A chicken sandwich on it’s own is one of my favorite things but if cooked incorrectly, it can be a tough bite to swallow. What I encountered — a moist and flavorful chicken breast enveloped in mixture of melty mozzarella and pesto pressed together between rosemary foccacia — was a party in my mouth. And the side salad mixed in a light balsamic dressing and did not contain even a whisper of iceberg lettuce accompanied the sandwich perfectly. Even the cranberry almond salad that I split with Mark C was fresh and substantial with mixed greens, dried apricots, craisins and almond slivers. The dressing was a bit too sweet for me, but Mark C. devoured it. Aroma Bistro is a great a local restaurant, preparing good food with quality ingredients is definitely something I can get behind. It’s another solid lunch option for those in and around Old Wethersfield.

Definitely worth a stop for lunch. The burger and iced coffee were excellent. The bagel chips — OK. The«salad» with the burger combo was about ½ cup of potato salad-like stuff, not really what I was expecting.

Cute, simple café with killer coffee. Seriously some of the best coffee I’ve had in Connecticut. A great place to relax and chat with the friends. I really dug the crumb cake, as well. Sweet and simple in character.

Nestled in the quintessential downtown Weathersfield, this tiny sandwich shop delivers high quality food cooked to order, made with love. I think I’ll have to make the drive out again soon! Data pts: –SO& i –Sunday 10am –no line to order –10 min wait for food The acme on plain bagel $ 8, 4⁄5 veg bagel bfast sandwich $ 74⁄5 Pros –adorable downtown area –great value –fresh ingredients –great selection of specialty sandwiches –good vibes, fun local flavor –cozy space –friendly service –cooked to order, no microwave eggs here Cons –location /not in west hartford(why are all our bfast places junk?) –pretty long wait for 2 sandwiches with no one in front of us, but worth it –didn’t affect us but after we ordered a line formed and service was even slower –venue not as classy as the food
