Best chicken I have ever had. Only $ 17 for whole chicken with 2 sides. Rice and beans are to die for! We live in the area, and this place is by far the best bang for your buck. American chicken places such as Kentucky Fried Chicken and Popeye’s have nothing on the rotisserie chicken at El Pollo Rico!

The first and the best in Wheaton! If I was restricted to only eating one food item for the rest of my life it would be their chicken (completely worth the high blood pressure). If you haven’t tried it you have to give it a shot!

My favorite chicken place because of food, price, and service. The chicken is super juicy and crispy, the plantains are always perfect, the rice and beans are really flavorful, and the chicken empanadas are crazy addicting. It’s always super busy but they do a great job of keeping the line moving quickly. You can’t argue with the price. The only drawback is the parking.

If you’re looking for good rotisserie chicken with something on the side, then you are going to love this place. There is nothing fancy or trendy about El Pollo Rico, and that may be part of the reason why it’s so good. No-​frills, just chicken. And good chicken at that!
The chicken is seasoned very well, the skin is absolutely delicious! It’s juicy, tender, flavorful and cheap! With taxes you can expect to pay less than $ 7 dollars for a quarter of a chicken (dark meat) with two sides, I don’t know where else you’re gonna find that kind of deal.
The restaurant is basic, you go up to the counter and tell them what you want. It’s like an assembly line behind the counter, they’re moving very fast and everyone has a role to do, which means you’ll get your food in no time.
Definitely part of my favorite go/​to list for local spots — I’ll be back!

This people use to have the best chicken ever. They never had a great service, but today they did the worst ever. I called in an order to be delivered and I was told 30 min for delivery. 45 minutes passed and when I called they told me the delivery had not left yet. When I wanted to cancel my order the girl I was talking to have the food to gave the phone to the most rude, uneducated, low class male. He was talking over me and being disrespectful and said he didn’t have time to cancel my order now until the line that was at his restaurant cool off. He was yelling, screaming and acting uncivilized towards a faithful customer. I will definitely never order anything from here. Glad there is Don Pollo and Sardis around here now.

This place is officially the best place to have rotisserie chicken.
They spice the chicken very well here. The skin is my favorite part. So full of flavor. I ordered a half chicken which came with two sides. They’ve got several options to choose from. I had the rice which could be better, and the fries which hit the spot.
I highly recommend you try this place out!
I drove 30 min during traffic hours mind you, just to see what the big fuss was about. Well worth the drive.
I was very pleased with the food and the service.
Wouldn’t change a thing. Hats off to the chef

It’s been two years since I have been here and that will never happen again! I ordered half a white chicken, rice and beans, and fries. This was a great man at a great price! Whenever I’m in the silver spring area, I will definitely come back again!

Delicious, tender chicken and sides for 4 friends under $ 20? WHAT?! Seriously guys, do not be intimidated with the line that literally wraps around the inside of the store… it moves fast and rewards you with the best chicken ever! Literally, we were chilling in the place munching on our chicken and papas fritas dipped in the best mixture of their green and white sauce licking the sauce off our fingers.

Their rice is good. Fries are also good especially when their fresh out of the frying pan. Chicken is good at the moment. As left overs for the next day it has a weird smell at times. The location is convenient. Parking sucks due to limited spaces. Pricing is decent. They normally always have line to the door. Strongly recommend don pollo in twinbrook.

The best $ 20 you can spend on food is the family deal: a while chicken, quartered, and three large sides. We prefer to get triple beans and make rice at home. Absolutely unbeatable. And their green salsa (read: blended jalapeño) complements the rice and beans perfectly. Plus, a tamal de pollo is the tastiest sl appetizer.
All in all, if I could give this place twelve stars, I would.

I have been meaning to give EPR a review for about four months now. Their chicken and sides are perfect! While in summer school this place saved my family from fast food or frozen meals many nights. The Latin chicken is seasoned and moist, served with a spicy green and a mild creamy sauce. The sides are equally as good, we live their yucca fries, slaw and plantains the best!
Oh-​very reasonable prices are also a bonus!!!

Tried this place out for the first time today. The food was smelling good all the way home I couldn’t wait to try it, and I was not disappointed. The chicken had a nice flavor to it and the ride and beans were really good. I got half a chicken, rice and beans, and a side of yuca fries. This is enough for 3 meals for me (an average eater). Delicious authentic food, good prices, and fast service! Can’t beat it! Also, there’s parking in the rear.

Quick and easy dinner for yourself or family! Take home half a chicken and a side of rice and beans — call it a beautiful night.
Parking is in the back along with a back Door entrance. Hop in line and review the simple menu. Quarter, half or full chicken. Side? Anything extra? Done. Easier than a your school cafeteria. And tastier.
There’s a lot of competition between the Peruvian chicken. So far this is my go-​to.

We were brought to this place, like many, because of the irresistible smells of chicken roasting over hot coals that infiltrate the air when driving through Wheaton. Having tried many, I can confidently say this is the best Peruvian chicken in the area! The chicken is crispy yet juicy and served with delicious sides. Service is fast and no-​frills, just like you would expect from a peruvian chicken joint. You order at the counter and get your food, then you can take it out or dine in.
The fries and rice and beans are delicious sides, as are the yucca. Also love the spicy green sauce!
El Pollo Rico delivers now– but I would highly recommend picking up or eating in, the food is less fresh upon delivery, as you would probably expect. However, they were very quick when we got delivery!
