This is not your typical diner… it has changed over the years to reflect the food choices and ambiance. I have come here for brunch, lunch and dinner and can say, I stay for the food, conversation, and the friendly wait staff. The prices are equivalent to the entrees although some specials are $$$$ but never disappoint. I love meeting my friends here, very close to White Plains, but you do have to wait to park and seat so be patient.

The service was super slow, and the lentil soup wasn’t that great. I ordered at the bar. There was no one else there — and I waited 15 minutes for them to bring my soup out. After I asked for the check I had to wait another 10 minutes for them to bring it out. So crazy.

A nice ONE-STOP-SHOP for Sweets and delights. Well, the idea was to come here for a little while before going to our hotels but what did happen was we stayed here for an hour. We forgot the time pass by so fast because of the find thing they serve here. DandyChocoCandy serves its purpose as the main attraction of the evening. It has quite the taste of a unforgettable drinks, like its meant to be drink by us. the chocolate magic was also like a magic, i dunno why it taste like that but the fact that its extremely sweet is a fact. Delicious, would tell my friends to come over again by tomorrow.

This is the Cheesecake Factory of Diners. Don’t expect too much chrome and stainless steal. This is one of the best diners in Westchester cranking out quality food. We will be back. Order the corn and chicken quesadillas and the lobster and crab Benedict for brunch.

Food is decent, only real reason to come for us has been the happy hour. But just had an irritating situation. On their website it says every day from 3 – 6 pm. Specifically using the words every day. Went in with plenty of time before it was over and was told that they don’t have happy hour on weekends. Okay, but your website says you do. Was then told while literally looking at their website that the website didn’t say that. Having that happen at liberally an empty bar makes me chuckle. We won’t be back and we’ll be telling our friends not to bother as well.

Yummy food, good service, classic diner feel. The other reviews are correct in saying it has an ‘upscale diner’ feel. We went on a Saturday morning, and it was busy, just not too busy. Will be taking my family from out of town there for late morning brunch when they visit.

I’ve been here a handful of times because it’s conveniently located minutes away from my apartment on a main road, Tarrytown Rd. This is a fancier diner in that the ambiance is much nicer than what you typically see in your average diner. There’s high ceilings with a nice color theme going on, booth seats, and an upper level. Everything looks clean and modern here. There is a wide selection of food, with a pronounced Spanish influence. They offer Mahi Mahi tacos, calamari, Italian style pastas, typical breakfast selections, and sometimes festive holiday specials(like Mexican dishes for Cinco design mayo, German dishes for Oktoberfest). I remember last year, they were celebrating their 20th anniversary so they had offered their selections with prices from 1995. Although I didn’t get to take advantage of the offer, I thought it was pretty neat. They also have a bakery in the front of the diner, with a great selection of sweet treats and pastries. The food is above average for a diner. Service has always been good, no complaints. Overall, a nice convenient place to have some food and catch up with friends and family.

Ok… So… I’m crazy about City Limits just, the way some people are wild about their favorite Bronxville or Englewood spots. I simply can’t avoid City Limits. And truthfully, it just rocks throughout. Bar, fully stocked– providing delicious, sweet yet, potent cocktails? Check. Food that’s scrumptious? Check. Service? Hands down. Check! Pastry section– full of luscious, chocolate decadence? Check. Check. Check. City Limits is in fact, the only restaurant located on the main avenue, as soon as I’m making my trek downhill. We went for their Restaurant Week menu, and it was relatively nice. Appetizers, entrees and(some)desserts were pleasantly included. My Ricotta/Goat Cheese Semolina Ravioli, appetizer, was buttery soft. My Pan Roasted Salmon included a deliciously savory yet, sweet Kumquat sauce, was heavenly. The kumquats, in turn, highlighted my dish, adding a silky, citrusy/flowery taste to the roasted salmon. What. A. Combination! And dessert? Well… my favorite Chocolate Mousse Torte, was indeed, one of the choices in the dessert portion. Couldn’t wait for that! Thankfully, City Limits cannot be short of anything. The mix you get from the atmosphere, service and the quality in food, is almost always, consistent.

One of my go to spots to grab a bite! It’s a beautiful atmosphere to even be classified as a diner. The lobster and crab cake benedict is absolutely amazing! Their coffee is everything! I have also really enjoyed their pizza and buffalo wings! The pizza is one of the best pizzas I’ve had! SERIOUSLY! For dessert they have countless of options, my favorite would have to be the flour-less chocolate torte, it’s dark chocolate, rich, the top is crumbly and the middle is like a soft brownie. It’s delicious, and not too sweet!

The portions have gotten way smaller in the past year. They’ve also shortened the menu by a lot. I used to love this place, but they’re so mediocre now. I don’t understand why they’ve made so many changes, yet marked up the prices. Even their fries are frozen now. If you aren’t going for breakfast, I’d advise you skip City Limits.

This used to be my go to place. Now it’s my only if I have to place. Ok, I’m only talking about the burgers. They’re awful. Tasteless, dry, even if medium rare. If you order cheese, there isn’t any visible. The pickle tasted like fish, seriously. The tomato is so thinly sliced you don’t taste it. The bun is just something to hold the thing together. AVOIDCHEESEBURGERS!

Had brunch here today with a girlfriend. The food was ok nothing outstanding. we started with the nachos which were good. Great ratio of toppings to chip. I had the oriental chicken salad which was simple but tasty. My girlfriend had the blt and a side of cheese fries, she thought it was great. All in all its a diner and I’m sure if I’m in the area again I’ll give it another shot.

A good choice for breakfast anytime if you’re in the area. Not the best food, but a solid choice if you’re in the area. The staff is efficient and nothing is terrible. The potatoes with the corned beef hash are shredded instead of home fries. However, the poached eggs and chive hollandaise sauce make the corned beef hash a good choice.

Another overrated dining venue. City Limits is an average diner — sometimes less and certainly nothing more… Visited on numerous occasions with the most recent being yesterday’s breakfast. Ordered the Turkey Bacon Omelet with feta cheese, spinach, tomato, hash browns and multi-grain toast. The omelet arrived warm — the hash browns and toast hard. Hours later the knot in the stomach persists. Stick with the Griddle Cakes as there was no issue there. The coffee is large and strong however good luck getting a refill. Plan on tackling a server as they fly by… Note: Proceed cautiously in a dangerous parking lot more attributable to layout rather than popularity of the place. Don’t understand Westchester’s excitement about City Limits. Perhaps it’s the busy location or the unique façade. The food on average… is average… and can certainly be below average. Keep driving

I loved my lunch here but the service was a little slow. I had the Mexican chicken sandwich and it was delicious! Chicken breast with pico di gallo type tomatoes and avocado on one of the best ciabatta rolls I’ve ever had. The ambiance is that of an upscale diner. Clean but we got there during a busy lunch rush so our service was a bit slower than I’d hoped. Very friendly and helpful(the waitress recommended the Mexican chicken sandwich) staff, just a little slow. Definitely stop by and get the Mexican chicken sandwich

What a beautiful diner! My boyfriend and I were shopping in White Plains and were hungry, but for something casual. While City Limits is farther from the downtown area, it is a spacious and upscale restaurant that is worth the trip. The menu is on a smaller scale than your typical diner which I appreciate, being indecisive. I opted for what the menu calls a «Mexican Sampler» which was warm tortilla chips with guacamole and pico de gallo. The chips were warm and tasty and I really enjoyed the dips. City Limits has a bakery as well with yummy treats to eat on site or to go. I liked their banana cream pie, served in a personal pan with a surprise piece of chocolate in the crust. My only complaint is that this is served with nuts. I scraped them off. Some reviews say it’s pricey, but I found the prices to be similar to other diners I’ve been to. Brotip: The bathroom is downstairs, so be careful!

Our server was a complete sweetheart. He was very helpful and considerate. He was a bit hard to flag down, but the place was packed, so it was understandable. The place was large and there were A LOT of tables– most of them surprisingly full. The menu had a plethora of options, which was really the only«diner» like thing about this place. The food and prices were more like a restaurant with an extensive menu. Regardless, the food was pretty good. We ordered the vegetarian burger, fish and chips, and the pappardelle. This place would be good for a nice place to chat and have some light lunch. Parking was nice because the diner has its own parking lot, but it is a bit cramped.

Absolutely the best diner ever and I mean EVER! I am only in this area a few times a year but I have lunch here every single time. The sandwiches are really good, I live their combinations. Fish tacos are great, anything with their house smoked pulled pork is to die for! Get the picture? Just eat there, you will agree.
