You know how sometimes you go into a Mexican restaurant and they have the«gringo menu» with burgers, chicken fingers, and grilled cheese? Well imagine if that menu took on a life of its own, became a Trump supporter, and opened its own burger joint. That’s what you get here. It’s as if someone said, «Let’s make a burger that is a little better than McDonald’s, but not as good as In N Out and we’ll charge 4 or 5 times as much!» I got the double bacon burger with fries and a drink, added a slice of pie and it was almost $ 17. What the hell??? I swear, after I placed my order, the line cook locked eyes with me and mouthed the words, «Only God can save you now!» Unless the burger was laced with coke(it’s too early to tell and besides, my stomach is already asking about the return policy), there is no way in God’s(or Allah’s, or Buddha’s, or Joseph Smith’s) green earth that this was worth HALF of what I paid. Thanks a lot«Rick», if that is even your real name. If I ever meet you I’ll either punch or vomit in your mouth. By the way, what IS the return policy? I’m asking for a friend…

The food is Great, but it takes too long to get, especially if your in a hurry during your lunch hour. They are a bit pricey unless you have a coupon that you find on the back of your receipt from Ralph’s, they have a buy one get one free.

I’ve been one to go to Ricks for last minute dinner during the week. Every so often I get the $ 1 off coupon which I always order the burger combo and use my $ 1 off coupon. Today was the first day they said I wasn’t able to use my coupon because I ordered a combo. No where on the coupon does it say I can’t use on a combo, not to mention I’ve ordered this exact order and used the $ 1 off coupon multiple times. Now all of the sudden a combo is considered a special and I can’t use my coupon. When I told the girl this is a first, I’ve always ordered this way before she returned the coupon to my hand and said«oh well, sorry about that» really?! They tend to pick and choose when they want to honor there coupons and treat customers rude as well. Regardless of Ricks being only a couple blocks from my house. I will never go there again while I reside and work in Uptown Wh

This place sucks… Only stopped here cuz of how close it is to where I need to be in a few… They put seasoning salt on EVERYTHING… It looks like a crime scene where they used seasoning salt as fingerprint powder… 2pcs of bacon in a breakfast when even fkn McD’s gives u 3 – 4. Over easy eggs can be used as a scouring pad. Crinkle cut fries? Clearly they accept donations from the local elementary school lunchrooms… First & last time here… Sorry I wasted my money.

Good food, fast service, big smiles! Recently moved to Whittier and were looking for a good burger place. Rick’s is the place to go. Everyone who works there is friendly, and we love the food. Highly recommended. Don’t forget to bring cash because they don’t accept credit cards.

My favorite spot in my hometown when it comes to their breakfast. Oatmeal is my favorite as well as their breakfast burritos. Coffee is also good. I Always leave satisfied!

Not my favorite burger joint. The burgers are average tasting to me, and I’m not a fan of the sauce. I hate relish and it’s got that sweet relish taste which just makes my stomach churn. But even without the sauce I’m not much of a fan. However, their malts are really good. My personal favorite is the strawberry. They also have yummy crinkle cut fries! Oh and the pastrami? Perfection! What I love most about Rick’s is their annual Christmas tree lighting ceremony. It’s so adorable and the decorations are always so pretty. I’m a Whittier native and every time I drive down Greenleaf during December and January, I can’t help but admire the beautiful decorations! Although I’m not personally a regular at Rick’s, this restaurant is a huge part of Whittier. If you haven’t tried it yet, you should because it’s a very popular place in the city!

I have not tried a burger in a long time, so seeing Rick’s nearby I figure they would be better than a chain restaurant. Once there I decided to upgrade to a chili cheese hamburger… yum! Well, I was horribly surprised that Rick’s is NOT better than a chain burger restaurant! I started of with to fries, which were frozen fresh crisscross cur fries…2−3 stars. I expected more! I then started with the burger and the chili was a bit water and bland. The chili tasted more like mashed beans with a little spaghetti sauce. Not good at all! At this point the fries are tasting better than I first thought since the chili cheese burger was bad. Bad in terms that my peanut butter and jelly sandwich I made for breakfast tasted better two hours later and bad in terms that the burgers from a Salvadorian Restaurant taste better and they are not a burger place. I should have waited for Dog Haus in Pasadena. Oh well… I won’t be back and will not risk trying another Ricks Burgers locations.

Waited ten minutes parked in the drive thru– with no one ahead of me for a grilled cheese. Not cool

They have Nachos! I am big nacho lover and I just discovered they do nachos. I’ve had their burgers plenty of times, always good. And their bean & cheese burrito is huge. Great old school place.

Overpriced food that is not good at all. Disorganized, they ask us like 3 times for what we wanted to drink. Burger not cooked through. Fries were stale and the chili cheese fries are disgusting. Never coming again.

It’s a decent place but beware of the drive thru they tend to be lazy and mess up your food.

I will NEVERGOBACKTOTHISPLACE!!! my husband & I ordered at the drive-thru. I ordered a chicken sandwich with avocado, well I was charged for the avocado but when we got home, there was no avocado. Their«large» drinks are not large! My husband ordered the chicken teriyaki and he chipped a tooth because there were hidden bones in the chicken!!! And his plate was destroyed! They just threw it in the bag with not a care in the world! Not to mention they were very rude!!! I will never go back!!!

I miss this place so damn bad. College… those were the days. One of my favorite burger joints of all time and the only place that does crinkle cut fries correctly. I’ve never ordered anything other than a cheeseburger, double cheeseburger, and fries. So. Damn. Worth it. I should mention, I haven’t eaten here in six years or so. Here’s hoping the place hasn’t changed…
