Three words. Red. Velvet. Latte. OK, so the other words should tell you how my friend and I used to meet at Starbucks until they turned it into a drive-thru and destroyed the ability to park there. We decided to tryTalias instead and our Friday morning coffees are a MUCH more pleasant experience. Parking in the back is abundant, and they have indoor and outdoor seating. The barristas are super nice, and I have yet to even explore their full menu of affogatos and gelatos(mostly because we are there at 6:30am). They have a frequent customer program(I’m a big fan of that!) But again… Red Velvet Latte. It is not a color found in nature because it is straight out of heaven! OK, OK… headed there now!

I saw this place transition from a Starbucks to Talias. I’ve been here many times and I am well pleased every time I come. Great coffee, great employees, great atmosphere. I love the music they play(definitely not something you’ll hear at that other coffee house) although a bit loud and I dig that logo. A Lion and a Lamb,(Revelation 5:5−6). The A/C is cranked a bit high so bring a jacket(LoL). Curious about the name though. Talias.

Tried this place out today and I’m so glad that I did. I had a red velvet iced coffee and it was amazing! My kiddos had a Nutella gelato and a macaroon. They were in heaven as well. Yum! So glad I find this gem

It is refreshing to find a café serving good STRONG coffee(in my case an iced Americano) at reasonable prices. I came here on a lark one evening after a long day at the office and needed a pick-me-up. The atmosphere inside is very casual, plenty of seats inside and out. The gelato display looked inviting, but I was only there for a coffee to-go. But maybe next time. If you care to support local cafes over corporate coffee, then you won’t go wrong at Talias.

Wow, this place is great! Great selection, cheap/affordable, spacious, not too crowded. Everything that Starbucks has, but better drinks and more seating available. The staff here is very friendly as well. Best of all, they serve gelato! I haven’t had the opportunity to try that yet, but i’m sure it tastes amazing! They do offer samples, so maybe next time I stop by, i’ll try that out! It’s pretty far and out of the way for me, but if i’m ever in the area and need a quick coffee/tea fix, i’ll definitely stop by here once again. Good job, Talias!

I’ve lived in Whittier for 9 years. And as of today this was the best brewed black coffee I’ve had in Whittier. My review is on the coffee only and there is nothing better than a hot cup of coffee black, that is brewed correctly. Great job, I will be back to try some of the sweets.

Every morning, I prefer going to an coffee shop(not a Starbucks) for some delicious affogato or whatever during my coffee game. This particular coffee shop is an very interesting one, because not one other coffee shop that I even know uses gelato instead of regular ice cream for affogato. It’s an pretty unique place. So I decided to give them a shot. I started coming here last Saturday morning for affogato which is usually vanilla ice cream in coffee. They don’t use no regular vanilla ice cream, they use gelato which they have 16 different flavors for affogato. Crazy huh? Before I even order anything, the employee was nice enough to let me try a few gelato flavors. I was hooked already. Oh and you can actually get the gelato too. I got myself a affogato with European cookies and stracciatella which I’ve never heard of before. You get 2 scoops of gelato. That’s my recent discovery. And I ordered some macaroons too. The affogato($ 4.85) here was so good. Very different than any other coffee shops I’ve ever been to. Macaroons was pretty good too. It was a little pricey though($ 2.00 each), but so worth getting. Service here is great. Very nice employees. And this is a first for me, one of the employees was writing on the window«Espresso Yourself» with some artwork. She was very nice enough to let me see her do her work and then take a pic of her work after it was done. I forgot her name though, but she was super sweet. They got other stuff like frappé, espresso, and more. Highly recommend this place for non-Starbucks drinkers. 5 stars. Thanks for reading!!! Christopher M aka Mr. Elite.

On our way home from Buena Park, my fiancée and I stopped in at Talias Coffee. We had been wanting to try it for some time, and it seemed like the perfect time to try Talias coffee. It was amazing! They have a very flavorful and varied selection of coffees, drinks, and gelato to choose from. I tried the Mint Chip Frap on the first visit. It was simply delicious! My fiancée got a Red Velvet Latte(she had tried the same drink at Starbucks and was disappointed to find it wasn’t Red Velvet at all, but Raspberry instead!) and finished the entire, large sized, drink! This is important to know because she hardly ever finishes a SMALL drink at Starbucks! On our second and third trips we both chose the Red Velvet(Frap for me, Latte for her) drink, as it instantly became our favorite. Today, is our fourth time here, and we decided to change it up. I got a Mango Smoothie and my fiancée got an Affogato. Both were extremely delicious! Talias Coffee has yet to disappoint! It’s nice and cool inside; has free internet access; personal bathroom and a cool outside area to sit in as well! The prices are about the same or less than Starbucks and they taste/look so much better! They offer more flavors as well. Its staff is very friendly and always smiling. Talias Coffee has become our favorite spot to come to for drinks and to work on our laptops. We live about 5 minutes away from Starbucks, but opt to take a 20 minute drive instead. That is how good this place is! I have no complaints. 5 out of 5 stars!

Located on the east side of the bank(same building) — you’ll be parking in the bank parking lot and walking around the side of the building. That confused me at first. I am so glad I found this place! I had been on the hunt for several days to find macaroons for my husbands sweet birthday treat. After an anxiety filled experience with Paris Baguette in Buena Park(see review for details), I high tailed it to Talias after finding it on Unilocal. I was super impressed! Clean, cute, classy… the environment was so much more welcoming than Starbucks. I wasn’t here for the wifi or coffee though, I needed those macaroons. Their selection was amazing! So many flavors with beautiful colors. They are $ 2 each or $ 19 for 10. That may seem expensive but if you know macaroons, you know that’s about as cheap as you’ll find them. I ordered my custom pack of 10 and couldn’t resist ordering a frappuccino– caramel. I noticed the caramel they use is Ghirardelli! That was seriously the best frap I’ve ever had. I loved my frap and my husband loved his macaroons. I’ll be back for sure!

I don’t usually like eating macarons and I’ve had many bad experiences eating ones where the artificial flavor taste is quite strong. My sister, sweet as she always is, goes to Talias to buy a drink and macarons for our trip to the airport. She knows they are my fiancé’s favorite. Again, remember that I don’t like macarons. I’ve had a good Raspberry Chardonnay one in Seattle, WA and a green tea one made by a friend. Lo and behold! I liked pretty much all of the ones my sister bought. The texture was there, the TASTE was there, NO artificial flavoring taste, and each one hit my palate like a bus! It was SOGOOD that I wondered WHY this didn’t exist in Seattle. It made me so sad that I was flying back without a box of it. My sister also had a Frappé(don’t remember which one), but even THAT was super delicious. Talias, whoever is making the macaron you sell, the staff is doing an AMAZINGJOB! Owners, please consider having a branch up in Seattle, WA. Many people would appreciate your business. You know you have mine. If you were there when I went to school nearby, I’d have gone ALL the time. I will DEFINITELY be visiting during my next trip home!

Love this little local coffee house! Service was exceptional and the variety endless, so many great options I wanted to try! I have had the java chip frappé, double fudge and extreme mocha frappes and enjoyed each any every one. My son has had the smoothies as well as ice cream and both were very good as well. You can taste the quality of their ingredients and the love they put ito each item. Plenty of indoor as well as a bit of outdoor seating and easy parking out back. Worth checking out while in the area!

I can’t believe I still haven’t written a review on this place. What use to be the Starbucks I religiously visited every night before work and after is now Talia’s. Her competitive prices has kept me drawn to her more than ever especially when she has extra goodies that attracts me to her such as her gelato and macarons. I am usually seeking something to keep me awake at work so I almost always order from their expresso drink menu and not from their dessert menu. Nothing beats a triple or a quad shot of expresso in my caramel macchiato! =) I have had countless coffee dates, meetings, and alone time here as well simply because the hours are perfect before and after Chel’s working hours. From their organic green tea latte, red velvet latte, americano, cappuccino, macchiato to their frappé, there is always something different I can have here at Talia’s. Love all of it. The baristas are always super sweet and nice. Indoor and outdoor sitting available. #my#coffee#spot

Love this place! Staff is always friendly. My boyfriend also likes this place, we can hang out here for ours. I’ve tried strawberry & crème frappé also green tea frappé and hot drinks we have tried caramel macchiato as well as green teas. Macaroons are delicious! Bread is also yummy. Everything from this coffee spot is delicious! You get free Wi-Fi(is posted near the entrance, they don’t hide the password) restroom and tables are always clean. We could spend hours here drinking our coffees and eating macaroons. I definitely recommend to everyone, even students for a nice study session.

oh hecka ca-yute! This little spot is operated by some of the sweetest baristas around! Being my first time, they didn’t hesitate to help me and my friend select some awesome drinks! They have an obscene assortment of flavored macroons and even though I don’t like them, my pal said they were on point! Especially that mango macroon. Seems to have pretty good taste cuz also ordered that coco loco drink whereas I ordered the java chip frappé. Not so smart move on my behalf… Be sure to try that coco loco drink. I had a sip and was ready to declare war before giving it back! Lucky for the big guy, all 5’3 of me was feeling merciful that day… Don’t forget to check in for a discount! ;)

REALLY good and unique flavors of macarons. Actually, I’d say that they are some of the best I have ever tried. If they are not all sold out when you go, try the duo flavor macarons! And yes, they do sell out! Haven’t tried any of their coffees or teas yet but I want to!

Get their macarons!!! Get them now while you can!!! Large, round disks filled with delicious flavors at $ 1.85 a cookie, you can’t go wrong with macarons from Talias. The barista said that they get them supplied from a French bakery supplier, but couldn’t remember which company. I think the price of their macaron went up since January of 2015 — another reviewer had the price at $ 1.55 per macaron, but when I went in mid-March, it was $ 1.85 per macaron. Their macarons are large, soft and chewy. The flavors are distinct and just strong enough to not overwhelm you with artificial tastes. The coffeehouse is cute and in a odd location right next to a bank. The interior is modestly decored and contains a decent amount of seating room, with a few tables outside. Fairly quiet for any local college/late high school students to study. The coffee itself is brewed extremely well. There’s a deliciously warm, almost rich nutty taste to it, mild for those who don’t like the dark brews, and of course, unlike Starbucks, lack a burnt taste. I’d definitely make a trip back here again when I’m in the area(even though it’s 10 miles out of my way). Definitely worth going to just for the macarons!

Another 5 star rating for another coffee shop! Why such a rating you say? Are you mad you say? Well you might have to bribe me with food in order for me to tell ya’ll! I kidding! Lets get this review on the road! Location: Located on the corner of Whittier Blvd and La Serna Drive. If you see Banc of California, you are there! Ambiance/Décor: Very calm small coffee shop. About 9 – 10 tables and have a lot of outlets for patrons to use. They also have an outside area where you can sit, enjoy your coffee, and conversate with your friends. Service: Service was amazing! Baristas were very informative about their products Very attentive and über friendly! Kept on giving me gelato samples… you guys are fattening me up! It’s okay I keep telling myself that ROUND is a shape! Gelato: Absolutely loved the two gelato flavors that I had. They were peanut butter and European Cookies. Wasn’t overly sweet and it was a surprise that there was little crunch to the european cookies. Absolutley delightful! Coffee of choice: Got myself an ice coffee. They sell Trinidad coffee here! Less acidic and goes down the hatch very smoothly! Tip: I like to advocate drinking coffee black to appreciate the coffee bean’s aroma and texture. Will definitely make a stop when I’m in the area!
