If you are one of the dozens of people who prefer Indian food without beer, you will love this place.

There are many VEGETARIAN options. The portions are big, you get 2 meals out of 1. The Vegetable biryani is succulent and filling. The Vegetable qorma is delicious and flavorful-I don’t mind it being spicy. The Fattoush salad is great, but if you don’t like onions, ask them to leave them out. Also, this salad is overpriced-you can get more for your money at N & J. The Masala dosa is a great concept, but lacking in flavor. The Vegetable all the way pizza is nothing special, just a cheese pizza. The Aloo matar doesn’t taste like curry, as it is described on the menu.

By far my favorite place to eat in Wichita. I am a lover of Indian and Middle Eastern food, as well as someone who cooks this cuisine. I can say with confidence that you won’t leave here dissatisfied. Tons of vegetarian options. The owner is very nice and usually comes around and interacts with the guests. He even cooks his own Bak Lava at home as to not risk its purity.

This restaurant deserves way more good reviews than it already has. I was amazed by the food and the atmosphere I found here in Wichita. The service was great. We ordered our food on the phone due to the fact that we knew we would be a little late, and I really appreciated the fact that they let us stay even after hours. I have never had really good Pakistani food and amazing Middle Eastern food in one restaurant. The owner’s ability to make many other ethnic foods amazed me, and I would love to try more. I wish we could have stayed the night and had lunch there the next day, but sadly we had to go. I really do wish they had a restaurant in Houston. I will definitely come back here whenever I am in the area again.

A hidden gem in Wichita! The food is amazing! And the staff was super friendly! I tried thier traditional lentil and chickpea soup, hummus topped with gyro meat, and Zaatar Manaeesh. I would definitely recommend giving them a try — their location was easy to find in a shopping center on the corner of 21st and Woodlawn.

Ordered dosa and palak chicken. It was freshly made as oppose to some restaurants would merely heat up frozen premade curry. Generous portion and Owner was very kind to offer masala chai and the server Trina was very efficient . Very surprised with the quality of the food and service. Will definitely be back !!

Lunch buffet is amazing! Everything was super fresh and the variety was awesome. I tried a little bit of everything. I haven’t been this excited about a restaurant lunch in a long long time. Will come back for sure! It sure does blow away all of the generic lunch options.

We had the humous with cucumber, falafel, Greek salad and onion pakoras. The hummous was delicious. The falafel was a little too spicey for our taste. The Greek salad was big but not memorable. The onion pakoras had too much breading and not enough flavor. The food overall was ok but not good enough to go back. The service was ok. The tables had a lot of dirty dishes on them and parts of the place could use a good cleaning. We won’t be going back.

Stopped in for the lunch buffet. Wonderful lunch! Lots of choices and very helpful staff. The owner checked on us and we were very pleased from start to finish. Thank you for a great dining experience. We hope to come back soon.

Been here twice now for the Sunday brunch. Soooo good, and at $ 15, its reasonably priced for a brunch. Lots of vegetarian options and the Turkish coffee was fun to try. I will say you have to really love Indian food to appreciate this restaurant because all the dishes were really exotic and authentic.

All previous comments were accurate. Excellent food, delightful waiter. Highly recommended. Chicken makhini and baklava and Turkish beef kabobs. And don’t forget the spiced lemonade.

I stopped by Zaytun this past Sunday for the Brunch Buffet 8÷2÷2015 around 1pm, I can’t speak for the menu, but people this is the BEST Indian/Pakistani/Mediterranean Buffet you will find in Wichita. I’ve been to them all and I can tell you the price is fair(although a bit high) for the sheer amount of variety and quality of the food they serve. They have both North Indian and South Indian food. Although you have to wait a bit, they provided FRESH Naan and Puris to your table, there is a big difference between eating a hot and fresh naan and puri straight from the Tandoor and one that has been sitting on the buffet table. The fresh made one is light, fluffy and crispy, it reminds me of a wood fired Neapolitan style pizza crust. Naan that has been sitting out tends to get a bit soggy. Some of the winners of the buffet is the mutton(goat) curry, Chicken Biryani topped with saffron infused rice, a lot of the restaurants here cut corners and don’t put saffron in the Biryani, Tandoori Chicken was hot and fresh, the south Indian Dosas and Vada’s were crispy and delicious, they had several different chutneys to add to them. Chicken Tikka Masala was awesome, The food is made in small batches, the buffet is constantly being refreshed with fresh food. The desserts were an awesome finale to the meal, they had Mango Mousse topped with crushed pistachios and almonds, some type of bread pudding that was cut into triangles that reminded me of the Gulab Jamun my mother makes and another indian sweet called Halva that was really good, they also have a thermos filled with hot spiced Chai tea, not the premade concentrated garbage you get from Starbucks. Overall, I will definitely come back for the brunch/lunch buffet, I paid $ 16.95 for an adult buffet, its almost 6 bucks more then the other guys across the street, but that difference is clearly shown in the variety of dishes they offer. If you’re new to Indian food, I highly recommend you check out their lunch buffet, that will give you the opportunity to try several dishes and see which ones you really enjoy.

This is a family owned restaurant owner takes pride and it’s clean. Be patient the food is worth it. They do Indian, persian, & Pakistani food. Yes they actually nailed all the flavors and the food is authentic. Order the Dosa w/curried potatoes. If ur in Wichita then stop searching just try it. Ohh and everything is Hallal loose translation«kosher». The meat is cleaner and healthier than other meat.

Stopped in on 05/25/2015 at 11:30. We love Indian food, and in our travels make a point to check Unilocal and the phone book for Indian restaurants to visit. We’ve visited great places in Lawrence and Topeka that had fantastic Indian cuisine, so we expected the same here in Wichita. We were greeted at the door and promptly seated, and our drink order taken(we asked for water and Chai tea. The buffet looked promising and we loaded our plates with a taste of everything. As others have said the food was Meh at best. It looked fine, but everything had no seasoning or flavor. It was like everything was seasoned with«bland». The Chai arrived and was foul; it tasted bitter and had a faint rotted trace to it. 4 packets of sugar didn’t even put a dent in the taste. The whole experience was hugely disappointing, and we left still hungry. My advice dear reader is to avoid this one and try one of the other Indian restaurants in the area, we will.

I am glad the word Meh is a choice. because that is the word that i would use. I love food from India, Pakistan, and Turkey so this seemed like a no-brainer. First, this restaurant was hard to find. it was in a parking lot near a popular bar and a grocery store(forget the GPS on this one). When we got there, the two young men working did not seem to know the menu well and we we asked questions they were like, its kinda like pizza etc. For such a combined menu we hoped they would explain it more. We got a basket of onion fritters that were awesome but not what we expected when we asked about them. For the meal we had a paneer and pea dish and then a crêpe that was filled with onions and potato called a Dosa. Neither of the meals had much flavor at all for this type of food, we were quite disappointed. The service was pretty poor. People had to wait a long time for their check. In fact, we paid cash so we would not have to wait for change. It was not a bad meal, but it was not a good meal either. I would not go through the effort finding it again.

Updated review for the buffet: The food was still good, but we prefer the menu. You do have a chance to try more things of course, but I doubt we’ll do the buffet again. Desserts were amazing– the rose pudding & bread pudding were both great!

To be fair, this is not a pure Indian place, and I should have done my research. I went for buffet, and was surprised at the offering, only half like what you would expect to see from a normal Indian one. The food was okay, rich and really dense flavor. But the nahn was disappointing. Flavorless, thick and puffy, not the regular crispy garlic ones with brown edges. They do have some crispy ones in another basket, but they looked like fried tortilla chips.

The lunch buffet is a great value, and I always leave satisfied. Vegetarian options on the buffet are a bit scarce, but they’re delicious. Dinner menu isn’t as great of value as the lunch buffet, but still earns a 4 out of 5 star. The staff can be a bit slow to service, but they’re always very friendly. I’ll second that the owner is friendly and personable.
