Wow. I came here on a Father’s Day(you would think they would be prepared) and was told it would take a ½ hour! AND lady was rude about it! The place wasn’t packed either! Not coming back here.

First time visit tonight. Service and sushi rolls were excellent. We got two rolls from their 2/$ 22 menu. Both were huge. No way we could eat it all. We will be back. Our new favorite sushi stop!

Went to this spot as a result of all the positive Unilocal reviews. My husband and I were really impressed with the quality of the fish, the service, and the menu with interesting rolls. We stopped in after we had been working hard all day(moving, ugh) and we were starving! We each ordered the 2 rolls for $ 22 = 4 rolls. We couldn’t finish them — the sushi chefs packed those rolls full of fish. They were delicious, we would have eaten every last piece if we could. After we were done(and completely stuffed), they offered us little fried bananas as a dessert. Yummy, and a nice touch. Can’t wait to bring my friends here and show off our new fav sushi spot. Also — they offer the grated wasabi(frozen, I think?). It’s flavor is more complex than the green paste you usually get. I order it and just eat it by itself.

John was a great cook, great service from Denise! Delicious teriyaki chicken, large portion. Hawaiian roll and shooting star roll were spectacular.

Great food and service. I got the lunch special(two different rolls, with soup and salad) for $ 11 or $ 12 and it was really good. The Mexican roll was super yummy.

We’ve must of came on a bad day! Food was horrible and sushi rolls filled with just imitation crab. Definitely not what it use to be a few months ago either they are loosing $ and can’t afford to buy product or the cook just sucks. Very dissatisfied with the service didn’t even get our drinks ordered until after sitting around for 10 – 15 minutes. We will not be returning ever again.

I love this sushi restaurant, the customer service here is totally on point and the food is great. You really can’t go wrong with anything you order and the rolls are huge. They have a banana crunch roll that sounds so odd but don’t knock it until you’ve tried it, it’s more of a dessert roll but I’ve never had a thing like it before.

Stopped by to visit Andy and have some of his fabulous sushi. I tried his new Dodger Ball(spicy tuna and Avacado), loved it… I am getting hooked on his Banana Crunch roll. His Black Cod is AMAZING!!! We can’t express enough how fresh Andy’s fish is. Love you Andy. Brian and Kellie.

Presentation looked good. Not much flavor tho. Price is cheap tho… If you prefer quantity over quality. Hana sushi and sushi one are the best though

Sushi in Widomar!!! Celebrating great auntie’s birthday with the cousins. We had a large party of 10, we arrived a bit early, but the nice server sat us, brought us beverages as she multitasked and readied the restaurant to open. The shrimp tempura was crispy and light. The veggie tempura had the usual suspects with broc, carrots, kabocha, beans AND yummy shishito peppers. Caterpillar rolls, dragon rolls, crab hand rolls, crunchy roll were tasty. Sashimi trio of tuna, yellowtail and salmon was fresh and delish. They even brought out a birthday concoction of sushi/shrimp tempura, cream cheese with raspberry sauce uh, yeah, not to my liking. But service was awesome, very nice server, she said she’d also escort us to Pechanga after her shift! Very good humored lady that had to deal with us noisy and rambunctious cousins! Nonetheless, a great restaurant to come back to. Reasonable prices with lunch specials on sushi rolls, another plus!

I am a super picky person when it comes to eating sushi. My go to were Hana Sushi, Sushi Hama, Tabu sushi, Woomi sushi, shogun, and sushi love boat. They are all good but this place can’t beat the price and the taste is just as fresh and good! The people are nice and great customer services.

When we moved into the area one of our top priorities was to find a good sushi joint. Very happy we stopped in here. Small joint tucked away amongst sole stores by the 15. Great fresh fish. The always tend to have my favorites where many places won’t. Toro, Uni, Blue Fin is always in stock and fresh. The guys behind the counter know their fish and I always let them surprise me with a chefs special something. Love what they’ve given me every time. Our kids love their California Rolls as well. They’ve also got Kikusui Sake chilled which gets bonus points in my book.

Had a lot of fun here, great customer service and good food. Definitely pricey, but it was worth it! Dragon roll has a good amount of eel, and the rolls themselves are a decent size. Can’t wait to come back!

I come here often after my workout or running errands. I love the small intimate atmosphere. Jazz music and fresh fish! The chefs are extremely friendly and the service is always fast and pleasant. I enjoy the tuna hand roll and the Philadelphia roll but they have so much more! I appreciate a small sushi restaurant that is focused on quality vs quantity, unlike most in murrieta and temecula. Awesome place! I recommend it to any true foodie or sushi lover!

I visited this place for the first time today and wasn’t blown away. The service sucked, the girl working forgot about me several times and didn’t even bring me water after requesting it twice. She was the only one working. The décor and ambiance to this place is dirty and low quality. The sushi was good but 2 rolls for $ 20 when I can get all you can eat at other places nearby for $ 20-$ 25… I should have gone there.

Based on the thirteen 5 star reviews here on Unilocal for Sake Sushi, I have been looking forward to an amazing night out for two weeks now. Based on this place’s reviews I had very high expectations and my review will reflect those expectations. My wife and I were looking to spend some time together on a Friday night and enjoy a good meal. We walked into Sake Sushi and were greeted and made felt welcome right away into the small, but friendly, nice looking dinning room. My first impression was a pleasant one, loving the restaurant’s ambiance and atmosphere. When the menus came they were rather confusing. We were given 3 menus, one listing the sushi prices, one listing the sushi descriptions, and one with dinner/lunch special and other menu items. Once we got it all figured out, I placed an order for edamame, their 911 roll, and Heart Attack roll for myself; my family ordered a sesame chicken/egg roll dinner, miso soup, and a kids chicken teriyaki and rice. They were kind enough to welcome us with a complimentary tempura shrimp and crab dish which looked amazing and was a very kind gesture. However, in doing so we completely forgot about the edamame and so did our server. Once the meal was served we remembered and just asked for it to be removed from our bill. When the food arrived it all looked amazing! My wife’s dinner plate looked great and my plate with my sushi rolls was one of the best plate presentations I have seen; sadly, this is where our excitement hit a dead stop. My wife’s dinner was served room temperature, was bland, and very mushy even though she order egg rolls and a chicken dish that was battered and fried. Moreover, her chicken had a mystery piece in it that had fallen into the tempura batter and got fried with the chicken. With the meal already being disappointing, this extinguished any appetite she had left. Unfortunately, where my meal looked amazing the taste was not. My 911 roll was mushy and didn’t have any flavor from the spicy tuna, the rice, the avocado, or the sauce. It was just a mushy mess in my mouth. The Heat Attack roll had been overcooked and the tuna had turned grainy and gross. I ate one piece and left the rest on the plate. My family and I were really looking forward to a great dinning experience and we left very disappointed with the food. Moreover, where the staff and servers were friendly, they need way more training. First they forgot our appetizer. This was followed by their inability to answer some basic questions we had about the complimentary dishes. We asked what the ingredients were and we were told the tempura shrimp/crab dish also had avocado(it did not) and when we asked what the sauce was on their fruit dish, they simply replied, «I don’t know.» It did seem the staff was making a solid effort and had a plan to get this place off to a solid start offering the complimentary tempura shrimp/crab dish and ending the meal with some complimentary fruit with sauce on it. Again, it was a very kind gesture, one that might bring us back to try this place again in a few months … however, for the time being they are a 1.5 star location at best. All the 5 star reviews are setting the expectation too high and are setting up Sake Sushi for failure.
