Let me start by saying that my visit to Wilkeson occurred on my trip out of the park since we had come in during the early morning rush to get a camp site and didn’t want to slow ourselves down by stopping so close to the entrance.
Anyway, the ranger here was very nice and helpful with a lot of brochures and things that might have been interesting to have before we went into the park. There were also park ranger teddy bears and other randomnes for sale. I would say if you have 5 or 10 minutes on your way into the park, stop in Wilkeson. The main strip is only two blocks long and this ranger has to get bored and lonely. Plus, there is helpful stuff and it’s free!
