I wouldn’t even give this place 1 star but I don’t have that option. I ate there Wednesday night, siriacha shrimp appetizer and Thai shrimp salad. Both were absolutely disgusting. I sent them back. I have been sick since Thursday morning. No need to go into the details of my illness. I’m sure you get the picture. We will never, ever go to any Applebee’s ever again. I don’t even know how they stay in business. Stay away!

No wait time on Saturday night 7 pm. Good. Cool to have presto technology, a tablet like device per table for easy payment and split check. Even games for $ 1.99but then why you go out for dinner in first place if you just play games during dinner? Food: 2 for $ 25 was terrible. Got wonton taco which I thought was decent. House sirloin and half rack ribs is just a disgrace. My fiancé said I cook better than that. The plates were just sad to look at. No meat on ribs. Steak with veggies and mash potatoes were microwaved. Our stomach didn’t feel well after. Sirloin was an extra $ 2 too. If I have a gift card for this place, probably would not find me there. The cool tablets saved this place from being a one star. I don’t remember why I used to like apple bees to choose a gift card for this place here but lesson learned.

Went here for the first time last night and I never want to go back. All the staff was rude to start off. When we walked in the restaurant, it was quite busy with a lot of people waiting, which is fine and normal for a Saturday night. However, the hostess just looked at us all confused and said«Hi» and kept doing what she was doing. As a hostess, it is your job to welcome the guests, ask how many, and if there is a wait to tell them. We waited there and had to go up to the hostess and let her know we wanted to be added to the wait list, and I had to ask how long the wait was. I understand this is a little thing, but it’s the hostess’ job, so she should be doing it correctly. I even watched another couple come in and stand there for several minutes without even being looked at, while the hostess just stood there doing nothing. The couple then finally asked if they could sit at the bar, which they did… Probably because they assumed they wouldn’t get to be seated since no one greeted them! Once we got seated, I was ready for some better service. Our waitress was rude, but I don’t even know if she meant to be. My fiancé ordered a drink, and instead of asking to see an ID like a normal person, she said«yeaaaaa I’m gonna need to see an ID.» Like she thought he was trying to pull a fast one on her or something. All I wanted was a water. She comes back with an iced tea. I figured it was a mistake, so I put it near the edge of the table. When she came back she says to me «oh yea I know you ordered a water, but just try this it’s fruit punch and iced tea, it’s what I get you’ll love it. You don’t want water!» And she walked away! Granted, the drink she did bring was in fact delicious… But the point is is that she purposely refused to bring me water. That’s all I wanted! I get she was probably trying to be nice… But she could have at least brought the water as well. At that point I didn’t want to ask for water again because that would leave me with an awkward experience. Aside from the staff that worked there… The rest of the dinner was fine. The food was good. I gotta say I might not go back to this Applebee’s unless I’m desperate.

Recieved a response to my review of the Mansfield Applebee’s about burnt food May 10th. Danielle B asked that I contact them. I called the restaurant and asked for Danielle B. They said there was no one there by that name but they would connect me with the Manager. Explained the three experiences with burnt food at the restaurant. She was a good listener but that’s it folks. Sorry about that. No invititation to return to try one more time or anything else. I guess my business isn’t that important. Great service. Got 2 house margaritas and a tall Sam’s summer ale. Bartender was great… however the food sucks. I got Thai peanut flavored wings. Ehh I have had better. Not enough sauce. I got the mushroom swiss buger. Medium rare. It came with one stem of a mushroom and overcooked. I asked for a new one the way I ordered it and if you are going to have a mushroom burger on the menu you would think there would be mushrooms on it. The second one came out better but didn’t have alot of flavor.

Very unhappy! Ordered car side to go, showed up and waited 10 in the car side Togo parking space, then went inside and had to wait another 10 before any employee notice I was there because they were too busy hanging out and talking. Once I final got my food and got back to the hotel room. Find out that they charged me for items I did not receive. Stay away! This place lacks any professionalism, even when I call to tell them their mistakes.

Let me start by saying the service was fantastic. Now to the food — very basic unflavorful food. I ordered the Bourbon Street Chicken and Shrimp. It arrived with one piece of chicken, a few roasted potatoes, 6 shrimp which were the size of the little tiny shrimp in chinese food and were way overdone, and less than one whole mushroom cut up and sautéed. So basically this was chicken and potatoes for $ 12.99. Way overpriced! It’s a shame that they have to charge so much for so little food.

They have the worst ice tea in the world. I ordered a mango ice tea and it tastes like some cheap beverages cost 1 buck that you can get 3 liters. I can’t taste mango flavor in it. We ordered the 25 for 2 entrée, with an appetizer for free. We got the boneless wings with sweet and chilly flavor. It’s ok but too much sauce. It tastes a bit salty. I got the crispy crunchy shrimp. The shrimp is ok but the side fries is not crispy! My friend got the chicken Mac and cheese and he likes it a lot. The service is good too, sometimes I feel like she comes to check too much though.

I just had the worst experience at a restaurant. Today, Christmas Eve we went to Applebee’s in Storrs, CT around 4PM. We ate approximately $ 96 dollars worth of food and when we get the bill we used 2 $ 30 gift cards and 1 $ 45 dollar gift card. When paying the bill they told us that one 30 dollar gift card had nothing on it. These gift cards were a gift and we were in shock that the money was missing because we had just gotten the gift cards yesterday(December 23rd). These cards were purchased at the same location at 93 Storrs Rd. The waitress checked again to see if perhaps there was a mistake and again the card came to nothing. My mom had to DRIVE home to get the GIFTCARDRECEIPT that we could have NOT had due to them being a gift to prove that the cards had the money on it. After having to drive home turns out THEY made a mistake and gave us the WRONG gift card with nothing on it charging another gift card. The solution WAS solved but we were unhappy with the customer service. They offered NOTHING in return, not a complimentary item nothing, where WE were hassled and had to deal with DRIVING back home to get prove. When asked for the manager(older Caucasian male) he asked what was the issue and when we told him about how unhappy with this was the situation all he was stated its good that it was resolved. He didn’t seem remorseful and didn’t seem to care that we went out of our way to prove this was a mistake on their end. He also didnt even state he was sorry we had a bad experience. He didnt seem to care that the giftcard we had gotten had nothing on it, even though it was his fault and he didn’t seem to care that it was his employee that made this mistake. What would have happened if this wasn’t resolved? We didnt have extra money(aside from the tip) to pay for the rest of the bill and all he card was about this bill was paid and all set. I will not come back to this restaurant or franchise due to this experience. This is what happens when management only cares about money and not about the customers. I will not recommend this to friends or family.

Since this chain opened we’ve had not one good experience in this particular one. This last visit topped the cake. If you could top the one time our childs hot dog came out looking like a stick of beef jerkey, because it had been microwaved for ever. Seriously who would bring that to a table? Well our last visit started out ok, we ordered drinks and mine arrived quickly while my husbands beer sat at the window, we could see it, and four staff standing around it, and not bringing it over. I wanted to just walk over and get it, but held back from doing so! OK so a lesson in reading a drink ticket might be in that servers future! Drink finally arriver and We ordered 2 burgers w/side salads and a chicken basket for our son. Pretty simple foods. Maybe I threw off the waitress by asking for NO mushrooms on my burger, but that was the one change to the whole order. Within 5 minutes our sons meal arrived, it was warm not hot, so i am guessing it was not intended to be his meal. No waitress follow up. 15 minutes pass and our burgers arrive. Mine has wrong cheese, aslide of something instead of the crumble blue cheese listed on menue and mushrooms and peppers(peppers weren’t even listed on the menu). My husbands burger looked like it was slapped together also with wrong cheese, not onion straws(which were listed). so we waved down the waitress and let her know these burgers were wrong. She appoligized and returned to the kitchen, she then promptly returned and told us that they were fine! FINE??? They weren’t what we ordered! I asked for to get the manager; she said she would handle it! I told her she already had a chance! the manager aarrived and i explained it all over again and he proceeded to tall me that they cant remove the mushrooms from the onion mushroom mix for the burger. So i asked thenwhy are there peppers in the mix, and he proceeded to tell me that they were listed on the menu. I told him to show me! He returned with the menu… amazing I KNEWTHEMENUBETTERTHANTHEMANAGER! No peppers listed! he then took our burgers back and made us new ones. The manager returned and asked us if we wanted another drink, we did. They arrived and my husbands beer was the wrong one. But the waitress failed to return until he was done with his now OK burger and ½ of the beer. She did however give is the check and return quickly to get our credit card! We were charged a $ 1.00 for the beer that was wrong, and as i was paying the bill i mentioned it and the waitress asked me what was she supposed to do about it! OMyGosh! In all i am so disappointed in this particular Applebees’s! We’ve given it four chances over the same number of years and i have to say I think well stick with mom&pop places who care about their guests!

It can’t compare with Chilis or Ninety-Nine. I have gone to several over the past few years and it’s always the same: food that seems better on the menu then what you actually get. Our server was extremly nice, but the food sucks.

I have been to this location twice in probably the past 2 months and was fairly happy with both visits. The first time there me and my girlfriend shared the 2 for $ 20 deal, which was really worth it. They are a chain so you know what to expect with the food, but for that price it was pretty good. The second time the waitress was a bit spacey. She seemed to not really know what was going on with some of the stuff we ordered. She told us because of her miscomunication before she didn’t charge us for the dessert. When I looked at the check she not only charged us for the dessert but for a drink we didn’t even order. It was a strange night

Applebee’s is the only chain restaurant in this immediate area, so they must do a good amount of business. That being said, I am definitely not a fan. I’m fairly picky and they barely have anything on their menu that I will eat. They don’t even have filet mignon on the menu, practically everyone has that. I found the staff and cleanliness factor adequate. But if you are going to pay to go out to eat I’m not sure why anyone would choose Applebee’s. Definitely go elsewhere if you can.
