I absolutely LOVE this place! Their foid is amazing. Some of the best I’ve ever had. I love their pancakes and homemade breads and my husband says it’s the best eggs benedict he had in a long time. It’s a small place but the turn around is quick. Our waitress was very attentive, especially considering she had the whole bar and a few tables to look after. You won’t be disappointed!

Amazing food and fun family place for breakfast. Wish the parking was a little bit better on busy days. But love the food and the experience, so definitely worth the wait!

The food was excellent. Waffles were huge, toast was cooked perfectly and prebuttered, and the breakfast potatoes were delicious. I will definitley make this a semi-regular place

Our favorite breakfast place in town! Fresh ingredients, food made in house, friendly and quick service. There are a couple good places close by, and that breakfast place tops them all in our opinion. The weekly specials are imaginative and delicious. Nothing beats the waffles though! Very sad we never made it there during their brief dinner service, I heard it was excellent.

I went to That Breakfast Place last week with my boyfriends mother who was visiting from Long Island. It was my first visit there, and I will add that my companion can be a very picky and critical customer. As soon as we walked in we were greeted in a very friendly upbeat manner. We picked out where we wanted to sit, the specials were clearly visible on a board on the wall, and the waitress was there right away asking if we wanted coffee or juice. We both ordered from the specials and not because we couldn’t find anything good on the menu, but because the specials sounded even better! Clean, inviting, friendly, quick service, awesomely delicious food… how can you go wrong? Love this place and I will go again :)

Definitely a mom and pop breakfast place which is just what I had anticipated! Low prices with friendly service– typical breakfast and lunch foods listed on the menu. I gave it four stars because it could use some updates in terms of interior décor to make the customers feel even more welcome!

Came here last weekend and I will say I was pleased. For a diner the food was pretty good. I ordered their big scramble with a variety of meats and veggies mixed in with scrambled eggs topped with cheddar. I was pleased. It is definitely on par with some of the other diners that I’m fond of such as Cosmic Omelet. My partner was also pleased with the food. Unfortunately, they were out of the zucchini bread I was hoping for, but I ordered a lemon poppy bread that was pretty delicious. I only managed to get through about half of my meal, but it held up and I was able to enjoy it for breakfast the next morning before work. I’d recommend this place. We arrived right around noon and there was no wait for seating. Our food came out in no time. It was actually almost unbelievably quick! One thing to note, for some reason there a few flies harassing us. No one else seemed to be waiving flies away so I’m not sure what was up with that. Overall I recommend this place. Cheap, quick and delicious.

Second visit, second impression; still not sure what all the fuss is about, but; even on a busy Sunday morning(granted, it was early… about 8:30), we were«seated» quickly. I put seated in quotation marks because it was basically like our first visit — a server saw us walk in and just pointed to a table from across the room. But despite this, our server was very friendly and nice. We got menus and coffee quickly. Everybody is rushing around. Table turnover is obviously key in this relatively small restaurant, and our food arrived surprisingly fast given the full dining room. A gentleman whom I assume was the/an owner, was helping seat people, as it did get increasingly busy during our short(35 minute) stay. Several parties were now waiting as we exited. This is definitely a locals place, as the gentleman greeted several of the arriving diners by first name, and warm hellos were exchanged. I should have tried one of the interesting specials. Unique, to say the least. But I opted for an omelet with spinach, mushroom, swiss and added tomato. It was perfectly adequate, but still pretty bland before adding pepper and some Red Hot sauce. My wife said her Western omelet was pretty good. I’ll have to do another foliow-up. I’ve by no means given up on the That Breakfast Place. Maybe some lunch is in order. I just don’t see it deserving all the praise heaped upon it for what has twice turned out to be, well… just a decent breakfast.

Great service, Great prices, got our food very fast and was delicious! Very nice people, only down fall was the bathroom being right behind my seat, I’d highly recommend coming to «That Breakfast Place» but I’d recommend sitting away from the bathroom

Great place! Walked in on a Sunday at 9:15 and got a table! Had the Pork pie. Two great tastes that go great together! Service was pleasant and quick. Definitely will come back.

Love the red potato omelet here and the eggs benedict is delicious. the smashed potatoes are yummy. Onion rings are fresh and so good, not greasy at all. Not always easy to get a seat but that just means the food is that good. We have eaten here multiple times and never had a bad breakfast or lunch meal.

Definitely one of the best breakfast places around the Willimantic area! I have been here a few times and have never been disappointed. Their food is good, cheap, and big portions. Have yet to try their lunch menu but have heard good things. The servers are also very friendly. This is a great place for a morning meal!

This place sucks. Yea the food is cheap and servers are friendly but the one I had was dumber than a rock. I asked for blueberries on my french toast and got what looked like cat throw up. I was absolutely appalled at what they call ‘blueberry topping’ I brushed it off the side and no one asked if anything was ok. Not even the creepy dude that stands around In the middle watching the place like a hawk. I know he heard me and knew I was upset but chose to ignore my complaint. My boyfriends ‘meat lover’ consisted of ONE choice of meat, which was barely even present. Highly dissatisfied. Next time I will gladly wait in the cold for thread city.

Went here for breakfast today(5-6-2013). Service was good, food was good, definitely a good place to go if you’re looking for a cheap, quick, easy, good bite to eat.

–This place is Worthy of 4.5 stars so I am buffing it up to 5. Today I have finally got the chance to visit this place with my friend for an old fashioned brunch. This place opens at 6⁄7 am and closes at 2pm so it usually clashes with my class schedule and I had to wait till this weekend, blah. In terms of the location, it’s really hard to find. My friend and I were stuck at Boston post road for a good 20 minutes before finding it– both of our gps couldn’t locate the exact location so that was quite a sweat.(It’s entrance is on the Willowbrook street, so I guess it will be better if you look that up instead) The interior is pretty old school, old fashioned. The waitresses was warm and attentive, so that’s a plus.(It seems that they are slightly undermanned, so avoid rush hours to get the best service.) The menu is dominated by omelets, sandwiches, and salad(typical breakfast food). On top of that, I like how they have a daily special to add more variety to the menu. I tried the Reuben omelet and their corn chowder today. Though their chowder was not hot enough, in my opinion, but it’s well seasoned it was still delicious. The toast(this stroke me!) and the fried potato that came with the Reuben omelet was well prepared; however i just felt like the omelet itself was a little bit too sour and I had to take down half a star for that(the egg exterior of the omelet was good too :/). Despite of the imperfection for the omelet, the overall dinning experience is outstanding, especially when it’s relatively cheap! I will definitely bring more friends over when I have the time :).
