Messed up our order and when I called to get things straightened out the sales lady was not there. I asked for a manager and neither manager at the wilmington store was available. The associate passed me off to the installation manager who never contacted me. I finally tracked her down a half hour later and realized she had no idea what happened. The men who were installing finally figured out what was wrong and now I wait a week to get what I ordered. Now I realize why you pay 90% up front. Never again! Two stars for the installation guy and the estimator!

While I did not end up purchasing from there, I did have a positive experience. Unlike Lowe’s or Home Depot, there was a HUGE amount of tile to choose from. And it was not all high end tile, there was plenty of attractive, moderately priced choices. There were many staff available, but no one to run you over/pressure you. The only reason we didn’t purchase from them was because it was 21 days for our ‘quick ship’ selection to come in. We should have chosen our tile sooner. If you have time, this is a great place to get your tile.

We recently purchased wall-to-wall Mohawk SmartStrand Silk carpet and laundry room vinyl tiles. We are highly particular to detail consumers. I researched carpet products and gathered 3 local estimates. Avalon Flooring of Wilmington’s staff and their contractors, exceeded our expectations in every aspect! In our experience: product, workmanship, honesty, dependability, expertise, courtesy, and pricing… were all 5 star.

Great service. With a huge showroom of tile, carpet, hardwood, area rugs, and window treatments. It’s hard to find a place like this great prices and a staff the knows what they are talking about. They have a contractor area with lots of supplies. I was surprised at how inexpensive some of their carpet and laminate was. I used to think they were a tile store, but they have a lot more. Update: April 2015. Purchased a rug but it did not fit my space, so I had to return it. Maybe next time.

These guys are one of the big boys in the area for flooring. They sell other products but they are especially known for their tile.
* Huge selection
* Decent prices
* Great technical advice
* Knowledgeable and responsive sales folks (Denise is super!)
* Convenient return of unopened product
* Just over the PA/DE boarder so tax free
It’s amazing how many people call this their go to place for flooring.

Horrible customer service. They’re very much interested in taking your money, but have no concerns regarding customer satisfaction after the sale. Buyer beware.
