Place smelled good but my chicken tacos were like chicken jerky with warm grilled tortillas. My hubby said his carne asada burrito was good though. The only highlight for me was the hot sauce. This place is not as good as the main one on PCH near Vermont.

I ordered a few different things, and the asada was a little funky tasting in all of them. Nothing critical, just a bit off-putting. Great for the price, and nice and quick.

First time driving through the area and got lost trying to find a bank. I could’ve sworn for a second I had passed thru a time portal to Tijuana in the 90s. And after passing about the 100th taco shop I got a sudden, unexplainable craving for some… tacos? Weird. I love trying«authentic» Mexican food and what better place than TJ, right? So I proceeded to ask the nearest person that looked like a local — tatted up wearing a LA hat — and without any hesitation pointed me in the direction to this taco truck. Well I’m glad I stopped by cus these tacos were bamb! I got one Carne Asada and one Al Pastor. The flavor wasn’t overpowering or too salty like other joints. Can’t beat street tacos that are simple and tasty for $ 1.50. The hot sauce was pretty spicy but tasty as well. The service was surprisingly helpful and friendly. Didn’t feel discriminated or talked to condescendingly as a «chino». Perhaps because it was bright as day and no danger signs in sight? I don’t know but I had an excellent experience, worth getting lost for!

I always come here for my quesadilla fix when I don’t want to make it! Good prices, open late and pretty fast to get food out. I even being my out-of-town friends here because it’s different from most Mexican food places and the good quality is pretty consistent. I always recommend this place despite the rumors about it being«shady». If you want good, inexpensive, fast Mexican food this is an awesome place north of Tijuana!

The best place for tacos and Mexican food! Period. Super Ghetto and shady place filled with Drunk Paisas and Wilmas Gangsters. But if you don’t mind the characters. this place is the best Mexican food out there!

Great tacos for that after party buzz, but general the taco quality has gone down.

This truck is parked on Avalon & L st. in Wilmington. Although the neighborhood can be somewhat shady(especially at night) they have some bomb tacos. Super easy on the wallet too! Lots of meat choices– asada, pollo, lengua, buche, pastor, cabeza, tripas, chorizo, carnitas, suadero. Plus Authentic salsas to top everything off with. Theres a reason this truck has been on this corner for years. They got the good stuff!!! Kinda shady standing around at night when your grubbin’ so get in and get out!
