Sitting the bar area, waited so long for or drink order. And food. Our food came we re ordered drinks but instead of serving us our drinks bartenders are taking shots and talking to other young guest(clearly Intoxicated– yet still being served . Drinks are not consistent

I went here on a Friday night, and it was busy but not super crowded. It was a little loud inside, but not uncomfortably so. The food here is a little pricey. You can definitely get the same quality of Mexican food for a lower price in other places in the area. Still, it was pretty good value overall. I had a house margarita and the Mole de Mama with chicken. The margarita was delicious, although I’m not sure if it was worth $ 8. The mole dish was really good and very filling. It consisted of shredded chicken drenched in mole sauce with beans and rice on the side. They also served it with tortillas. It was a pretty big serving, and if I hadn’t been starving when I got to the restaurant I probably would have been able to save some leftovers to go. The dish was very satisfying, and the mole sauce was delicious although it wasn’t distinctively better than other mole I’ve had. Overall, service and food were pretty good. I would come back here again if I’m ever in Windsor.

Okay it’s been many years since I have been there but I have now been twice in the last two months, after suggestions from wife and friends and DAMN this place is GOOD! I’ve had their al pastor taco, carne asada salad, super pollo asado burrito and two types of their refritos. First off this place must have changed management and cooking staff, that said they are putting up some very fresh and very tasty food. All of the meats I had were moist and fresh with the al pastor and carne asada being top notch, both without fat and moist. Their $ 2.75 taco was expensive but it had enough meat for 2 – 3 tacos from other establishments. They also have a refritos negros(black refried beans) that was delicious. Their super burrito is $ 8 and was totally filling and worth it. I felt the quality was above par for tacqueria food; up there with Roseland’s finest. No wonder this place is expanding! Salsa was also fresh and flavorful(a tad bit salty). I would say best Mexican in Windsor for sure. I liked Mi Pueblo, but would now choose El Faralito Windsor over it any day. I still think Mi Burrito at the airport is good too, but this close to the town and with freshness to boot… they’ve got my $ 02!

Came here for a takeout order today — ordered two tacos and nachos(both with carne asada). It was a total of about $ 16 and was ready in less than 5 minutes! We took the food home(we live around the corner) and the nachos themselves were very soggy — however they have us a side of tortilla chips as well and we were able to use those to scoop up the deliciousness. The tacos were double lined(two tortillas) and had enough stuffing for two tacos. Deeeeelicious but so messy!!! I would probably ask for less cilantro next time but it wasn’t enough for me to complain

Adding stars to my last review. Fact is, this place has become a regular spot for my family and the update is long overdue. The same positives from before remain. The service is always upbeat, friendly and fast. We were there a few nights ago and clearly, so was every family of a graduating senior… yet…our service and food didn’t suffer. My teenaged bottomless pit loves their carnitas chimichanga and my husband enjoys the carne asada plate. I am often torn between whatever special they’re offering or more regularly, their chile relleno. I’m hooked. The drive-thru is a God-send on our late baseball nights and the patio has a relaxed feel for those gorgeous NorCal nights. Can’t wait till it’s finished. El Farolito! Thumbs up!

El Farolito feels like eating at home I eat here so much. The drive thru is the best option for a fast lunch in Windsor. The margaritas and dinner options are awesome too and the staff is prompt and checks in often. I love that they serve refried black beans with the entrees and the rice is so tasty and the perfect texture. The cheese enchiladas are my favorite order.

trifecta Drive threw option — I have driven by this place for years and it was the recommendation from Alexia from the Hampton Inn that brought me in, thanks. Bar/lounge– Wow I have been missing this gem. Dine In /Restaurant– The shrimp chipotle was excellent served with rice black beans which I prefer anyway and rices presented in a pyramid which was a clever and comes with a choice of corn or flour tortillas.

I found this place on the search for good Mexican food near my office. I am so glad that I did! My only fear now is that the word is out and I will run into hordes of co-workers when lunching here. I have tried a variety of dishes from the menu. I am particularly fond of the specials that they have. They sometimes highlight non-standard Mexican cuisine. The owner is dedicated to cooking from his perspective and even stops by the tables sometimes to chat about the food and if everyone enjoyed. I have tried the tamales, tacos, burritos, and enchiladas and found nothing to be wanting. I enjoy their mole enchiladas. I keep going back to the yummy tacos, particularly the fish tacos. If you like spicy, ask for the habanero salsa. WOWZA! I like to mix it with their fantastic house salsa that they serve with chips. I will continue to come back to El Farolito because the services is excellent, the atmosphere is fun and relaxed, and it is clear that the owner and staff take great pride in putting out a wonderful product with integrity. They are definitely working on overhauling their menu and making some changes(even in the last few months I have been going) but in my eyes they have all been positive!

I don’t like to give bad reviews but this place has it coming. We ordered via phone and were told ten minutes. We got there in 15. We paid, waited another 10 minutes to have the girl ask us what we ordered. They were having computer issues. Ok. Waited another 10 minutes. Fine. Get home and my moms taco salad had over a half cup of watery something drained from it and LITERALLY3 bites of meat. My taco salad had the meat chopped so finely I had to dig for it, really saw barely any. The TOPPER… NOTACOSHELL!!! That’s the reason you get a freaking taco salad. This has two rubbery tortillas on the side of a messy pile. Dads meal was sub standard. Don’t bother. Go the La Rosa on 4th in Santa Rosa. It’s worth the drive and $$$

There was a Unilocal event here a couple years back. The food and drink got me excited about this place — but I’ve been back twice since with the hopes the food would be as good as the event — but not the case. I had the Oxo Enchiladas. The sauce on top was mole and the whole thing tasted unremarkable. This was the case on a previous visit also. The upside of El Farolito is the drinks. They have a great bar! I think it’s the great bar that draws customers who will settle for average taqueria food at restaurant prices as long as they can get ripped. I’m done with this place. I want tasty food when I have my drinks. Bye Bye El Farolito!

Update… Opps. The following review is for Mi Farolito on Commerce. Ha Ha. My Bad. Error because El Farolito and Mi Farolito has near similar names. 3.5 stars. Been here once before. Lots marinated pork in tacos. Chunky. Lots for $ 1.99. Salsa good. Wish i ordered Lingua. But forgotten. More MAGIC the last time I was here. So Far driving between San Diego and Rohnert Park… the best Tacos are at Carniceria El Amigazo. 5 Unilocal Stars. Amazing. In Bakersfield, Calif. Actually I’ve have had excellent Chrispy Taco’s in San Diego. Haha. And it was with an wonderfully seasoned ground beef.

Edwin is Awsome! The best bartender in Windsor. Made us these beautiful ice cream XO Café Dark Martinis. Still trying to come up with a name for it. Stop by and have Edwin make one for you and help him come up with a name for it. Encourage them to put it on the menu!

From the minute you arrive here you are happy to have found El Farolito! And they have a drive through if you want great good on the run. I arrived today thinking about grabbing a quick bite to go. It felt so good to be here again that I decided to stay for a bit. The dining room is decorated beautifully and they have a wonderful large outdoor dining area on the patio, complete with a bar. The staff is bright and cheerful and very good at seeing you get what you want exactly as you want it, and pretty darn fast at that. Not fast food, to be clear. It’s more like homemade. I ordered the chicken mole enchiladas, and got a huge plate of tasty fresh food. The guacamole is great. The chips nice and thin and crispy… Nothing as greasy, it’s all fresh! I usually get fish tacos, and crave them in between visits. Melt in your mouth! And every time the fish was fresh. I have a picky digestive system, so I would know if it wasn’t. They also have a tequila bar with an amazing selection, and a variety of other alcohol offerings, including a large selection of Mezcal, if you want a cocktail or shot of something besides tequila. The outdoor patio bar is cute and FUN. Appropriate music plays over the speakers in a volume that is not too loud for conversation. I cannot wait to return with friends, so we can enjoy all of this together!

I was warned by somebody after I had ordered the fish tacos that the last time they had ordered the same they found them so inedible that they had to throw them out. I brushed it off because, in truth, I’m an incredibly non-picky eater and have a stomach of steel. They were so right. The fish tacos were literally the worst thing I can recall ever having eaten in my 30 years on this planet. They tasted(and smelled) as if the fish had gone rancid 3 weeks ago, been thrown away, and then dug back out of the trash to fry up for my order.

I’ve come here a couple times for lunch. I find it a bit expensive, but I’ve enjoyed everything I’ve had there. Typically I get the special or enchiladas.

I absolutely love this place. I brought some family from out of town here and they were very pleased with how great this place was. We sat in the patio which is beautiful, the staff was on point and amazing and the food was to die for. I love coming here

Oh El Farolito! If you can only be in a city near me you will get 5 stars ALL the time! Why didn’t I know about this place much sooner? Well, it is almost an hour and a half from me but I have to admit it was worth all my gas and my long drive! :) I came for an event to meet a group of AMAZING people on 3÷22÷15 from 12−2pm. Before walking in, I was delighted to see that this restaurant has a drive thru! Say what? I’m so serious, how convenient that is! Not a lot of GOOD restaurants that I know have drive thru’s! We all had seats outside the patio with a live music band(played WONDERFUL music), good food, amazing men and woman and great drinks! Like what more can I ask for? I was first amazed that this beautiful restaurant has such a spacious patio! Like word? The bar is separate from the dining area but it’s such a nice layout! The food was SO delicious! Ok… I don’t think you heard me… DELICIOUS! Muy bieno! :). You must be asking what we ordered. Ok Let me tell you: Food: –Chicken Avocado Salad– 5/5~ It was SO tasty and the dressing that they put on it was JUST enough. It’s a *must try* –Mole Chicken-5\5~ The sauce on this bad boy was so GOOD! Made me want to lick the plate! Say what? Yes, I said it lick the PLATE! :) –Albondigas-5\5~ It was mind blowing! The sauce with onions with the nice tasty fresh tortillas… Yummyyy…my mouth is drooling just thinking about it! *A must try* Drinks: –Margarita– 5\5~ The margarita on the rocks was SO tasty! Shout out to the bartenders: Vanessa and Edwin who consistently were checking on us the whole time during the event and were filling my glass up as soon as it was half way empty! Whoot Whoot! — Gingery el Diablo AKA The Devil Drink– Was the topping of the event. The amazing Vanessa waked out with the Red drinks and I couldn’t WAIT to get my hands on one! It does come with a lil spice to it but that’s what makes the drink so unique! I was able to personally meet with Owner AKA the Chef(Pedro). He came out to check and make sure everyone enjoyed themselves as well as asked how he can improve the service and food! WOW! I was thrilled that he even cared to get our opinion. It was nice to chat with the lovely Rene(Director of Beverages) who really was an amazing man and you can tell his passion for the restaurant business. I am excited to hear that they plan to open up a restaurant in Oakland! That will be SO nice and more convenient for me. I had a GREAT time for my first time here! Thank you El Farolito for the AMAZING service!

Excellent, flavorful food. Not too spicy. Friendly & sincere hosts. And a good selection of tequilas. Casual & colorful indoor dining or sit on the patio when the weather is beautiful(which is, like 300 days per year in Sonoma county). Prices are fair. You like Mexican cuisine? Something a little more adventerous than Americanized tacos and burritos? Come here, you’ll like!
