The ricotta filled doughnut I had at the Coventry Regional Farmers Market was easily the best doughnut I’ve ever had. The problem is that Faddys often advertises that they will be places… and they’re not.

I had a sugar glazed donut at the South Windsor Winter Market at St. Margaret’s last Saturday and wow it was amazing! I saved half the donut in a sealed tupperware container because I wasn’t super hungry at the time and then I forgot about it until today. Despite time passing, it was still fluffy, soft and the glaze didn’t dry up. I heard they’re opening a location at Buckland Hills but don’t wait that long to try their donuts. If you see them at a farmer’s market GOTHERE!

I hate to write negative reviews of local businesses. I really, really do. Especially one that makes delicious donuts. However, I tried reaching this place to inquire about them coming to our school’s fall festival. We really wanted them there– great popcorn, donuts, etc. I left about 5 messages(they never answer the phone). After no returned calls 2 weeks later, I decided to find them at their store in Windsor– It was closed. I then drove to the cabela’s truck. The girl at the truck was very nice but knew nothing about the catering and asked me to call. I laughed and explained that I had called many times. I then left a full message on a paper bag with all of my information which I watched her tape to the register(she explained that the owner visits there daily). Still, 2 days later, NO returned call– even just to let me know they are booked that day! So frustrating — and in my opinion, no way to do business. Update* I did finally receive a response from the owner… 2nd update* when I talked to the owner finally(see above), we verbally booked the event for our school’s fall festival. The event was being held from 2 – 4 and he stated that they would arrive around 1:30 to set up. They never showed up. And despite multiple calls that day, the owner never called me back.

One of the best donuts I have ever had. Love getting them outside of Cabela’s. Highly recommend the raised sugar and chocolate iced donuts. WAY better than Dunkin.

The best apple cider donuts I’ve ever had and I am from Upstate NY where there are a number of great options for cider donuts.

I came in here around 1pm on a Friday looking for donuts. There were only about 3 varieties of donuts left at this point, probably because it was pretty late. After seeing the delicious donuts in other people’s reviews, I was a little disappointed that there were none like that left for me! I was able to get the apple cider donuts and regular glazed. I tasted them both and they were both really good. The atmosphere here is a little strange. It feels very sparse inside the store — like there isn’t enough furniture. It also seems to mainly be an ice cream shop with donuts as an afterthought. I didn’t see any coffee being brewed either. I will try this place again just to see if coming in earlier in the morning gives me a different perspective on the whole experience.

My friend and I came here primarily for the doughnuts. We saw that they were listed as one of the best places for doughnuts in the state and not far from Hartford, so we thought we’d give it a try. The place is very open, with several tables, no wifi(or coffee) but has excellent excellent doughnuts. The second you walk in, you’re overwhelmed with a smell of freshly baked doughnuts that are so sweet, the smell itself will make you salivate. They sell many fluffy doughnuts(in addition to cake-doughnuts), unlike some other doughnut places that may only have the cake-variety. The glazed doughnuts have a nice crispy-freshness that you only experience with freshly baked doughnuts. The doughnuts with the chocolate frosting are sweet, but not overwhelmingly sugary that you have to stop eating it because of sugar overload. Overall excellent doughnuts. Definitely worth the 12 minute drive from Hartford.

As their name suggests, they sell donuts and ice cream. S’mores donuts, peanut butter and chocolate donuts, brownie donuts, Donut Extreme Awesomeness Overload. It’s not exactly ice cream weather, but they will fill your every frozen dessert need come the Springtime and Summer — about 30 home-made flavors of ice cream and frozen yogurt plus a dozen sundae varieties. I stopped in for a coffee and a S’mores donut. Sorry, they don’t sell coffee. But my oh my was that donut heavenly– light and airy cake with a delicate chocolate and marshmallow topping. Trust me, it was sinfully good. The interior is bright and cheery with pastel pinks and greens. The lady behind the counter was cheerful and friendly. This was a worthwhile stop, for sure… If you like donuts, you really need to try them out.
