What a disappointment. Ambiance wasn’t at all appealing. Food was okay, but I was expecting it to be a triple D type experience. Not so. Also had bad service. Took a long time to order and long time to be served. Then didn’t have any napkins or silverware when food was served. Had to ask for it. Macaroni was watery. Was told we wouldn’t be charged for drink that bartender attempted to make but admitted it was the first time and was bad. Didn’t drink it but was too late when she returned to check on us to fix the problem. Was also charged for it and also a more expensive wine than ordered. Waited a good 15 minutes to get check. Then couldn’t find waitress or anyone to make corrections. Sorry. I will never return to this location. $ 60 lunch for three for fast food quality food and service.

Always liked their food– always fresh, high quality and a nicely prepared. When I was looking for a place to hold my adult birthday party, this was absolutely my first choice and it did not disappoint. 25 people in the back room was comfortable and cozy. Decided on a menu with Miley. Her guidance was considered and helpful. We had the perfect menu and everything was well presented. Miley and Alexis(our amazing server) made sure everyone had everything they wanted and it was seamless. I felt honored, celebrated, taken care of and full! My guests felt the same. Now…to get their caesar salad dressing recipe!

I had their Ahi Sandwich and it was really good. They are really pricy though.

Last time I ate here the service was super slow and my meal arrived cold :(I took my dinner home so I could reheat it there. The previous times I’d eaten here, I’d say the food was just okay. For«just okay» food and based on my last experience, I’m not coming back.

I have been going to Johnny Garlic’s for over 10 years. Im highly allergic to nuts and never ever had a problem in the past. I just don’t order the fries(cooked in peanut oil). I ordered what I always get and let the waitress know of my allergies. Yet right after I left the restaurant my breathing was instantly constricted. So cross contamination occurred. They had to have not cleaned a surface or had quite a bit of peanut oil on their hands. My salad also tasted like anchovies. I got a house salad with italian dressing(no anchovies are supposed to be in either). So clearly the cook was being careless.

Not impressed. The food was good. The prices are higher than I’d care to pay. Nick S would disappear for periods of time that exceeded 15 minutes and he’d be in the bar area talking and leaning on the counter. A fruit fly died on one of our plates and others were around but smart enough to stay out of the oil and vinegar. All Nick could manage was«Sorry about that, gross». No manager table touch. Hell Nick barley checked in.

Well nothing wrong: place is fine and people nice but nothing outstanding. It tends to want to pretend to possibly be trendy and in fact is not. It just misses that little touch of a professional cook. Calamari were good but had a flour after taste buffalo was dry and so was tiramisu

The server was good. In a fairly empty restaurant at lunchtime it took well over and hour to get served. The Caesar salad never arrived at the table yet we were charged. They dropped a full tray of drinks with broken glass. Served a club soda in a broken glass. Miley the manager was rude and non-apologetic. I don’t believe Guy would be happy with the service. The food did taste very good however the experience was awful.

Had a much better experience tonight! We sat outside on a pretty busy Saturday night and within moments were greeted and asked if we would like a drink to start. Our server was a gentlemen named Morgan who did a fantastic job. The restaurant seemed staffed much more appropriately than it has been in the past.

I can only imagine how many people put this restaurant on their«to do» list when traveling through Sonoma County. I mean Guy Fieri owns it, and he’s cool, so why wouldn’t you? The bummer of it all, in my opinion, is the food was much better quality before anyone knew who Guy Fieri was. Maybe there is no relevant connection between the two, but it’s pretty hard not to assume there is one. It’s been probably 5 or 6 years since I have visited and thought while in the area, why not?!? Stopped in at lunch time on a Saturday. The restaurant was really quiet. Sat on the patio. Waitress was friendly, but I think lacked things to do. Spent a lot of time visiting with other staff and I think lost track of time on checking on us. We came during happy hour and were starving so we ordered some parmesan garlic fries as an app. They were yummy, lots of garlic goodness. Portion size seemed less than generous. Had a club sandwich with sweet potato fries. Fries held no comparison to the parmesan garlic. Sandwich was ok. Nothing special, I felt like it compared to the same you would get anywhere else. It also seemed dry. The aioli sauce didn’t seem to do anything for it. All in all, just an average meal. Nothing mind blowing. Prices seem a tad high for the quality of food. But I guess people are willing to pay for the experience. Just not sure the experience is really there.

I had a lot of hope for this restaurant since I like Guy Fieri’s show, I thought it might be a good place for lunch… Well, it’s the kind of place where they try very hard to re-invent the wheel, unfortunately the outcome is not as good… The service was friendly but they were very under staffed so it would take a while for anything to happen, this I could have understood and probably still gave it a good review had it not for their food itself. We started with the chicken wings, where instead of the traditional buffalo or BBQ they put chimichurry sauce on it, that was yucky but that sin is a matter of taste. So I let it slide. Where they really screwed up was in the burger I ordered! They put some sort of dressing in it. and it had soaked the bottom completely so while the burger looked amazing on the top it felt like a wet diaper when you grabbed it, it then started to disassemble and run through your fingers. The plate was left coated with a pool of oil or something shiny. it was nasty, I couldn’t even try to give it a bite by then I was disgusted by it … McDonald’s would have probably been a better approach to a burger. If you find yourself here try something different on the menu… There may have been other choices that were good who knows!!!

Long wait, subpar food… What a joke. I understand long waits on a Friday night, but this was pretty terrible…

We still love the brick wings… but that’s about it anymore. Everything else we’ve had has started to taste very commercial… meh.

I stopped in for a margarita after a long but fun day. Phil the manager is awesome and Shannon the bartender was spectacular! She makes a mean margarita and she didn’t mind my ceaseless Seinfeld references.(Bonus) They also have this strawberry purée/basil concoction that is to die for. The premises were stylish and spotless, and they have a private room in the back perfect for parties. The music was spot on, and next time, I will try the food, as it smelled and looked fantastic! Thanks Phil and Shannon!

Awesome happy hour! I love love love it. Nice staff, good food and good drinks. What more could you ask for? Maybe a bigger sizes drink for the price but that is all. Everything is great here.

I’d give 5 stars for the service, JG’s is not a 5-star restaurant, so I have to balance my review specifically for the service my group and I received. We had the absolute BEST service from… ?? I’m sorry to say I can’t remember his name now! Truly, he was wonderful — sweet, charming, very attentive, and gracious. Before we left, we felt compelled to tell him directly, as he enjoyed his after-work beer, that his service was beyond exemplary. Darn it. I do wish I could remember his name. Well, you’d know him if he was your server. He has a ponytail, and I think he is the managing bartender. That’s all I can say. Keep up the great work! :)

Not much has changed since I visited this place years ago. Here are some interesting things to note: 1. On a beautiful, sunny and warm Saturday in January, the place was almost a ghost town. We arrived just shortly after 12noon and the place was empty except for someone at the bar. Only one other couple arrived after we had given our order. I counted at least eight people working. Two covers for a Saturday lunch, however, won’t pay their salaries. I felt bad about that, especially for our server, who was really nice, cheery and helpful. 2. The food tasted okay. I liked their focaccia bread. Although the vinegar in the vinegar/olive oil dipping sauce was a bit overwhelming. Their mozzarella sticks are nothing to write home about either. The menu has completely changed since the last time we ate here. No more calzones, now it’s flatbread pizza. Note to cook: The pizza needs two more minutes otherwise it tastes doughy. Tried the Big Bite Burger… nice flavor but too much stuff loaded on the burger made it difficult to eat and the bottom bun was soggy. I had to use my knife and fork. The seasoned fries tasted okay, but it would have been nice if they just used one style of french fry instead of three. 3. Nice presentation on all the items. Although I found it interesting that they had white paper sheets underneath our entrees. Didn’t really need it for the pizza, but it did sop up the wet from the burger. Ketchup for my fries was served in a tiny ramekin. 4. I took a look at their wine menu. Only a few local, well-known, wineries were represented. I almost fell off my chair when I saw that a bottle of Fetzer Moscato was selling for $ 24. It’s a six dollar bottle of wine folks! 5. The music selections over the PA were quite hilarious. Old seventies music… seriously!!! Whose iPod selections were they? If you want to attract a trendy crowd, play some decent music. 6. All the tables/chairs need to be ready to go when you open, not just a random selection. While we got our pick of the place, the paper covering our table was dirty and should have been changed. It’s okay if the other items are not set up, but everything should be cleaned. We spent a total of $ 50 for lunch, including tip. Very overpriced. Probably won’t eat here again for that reason. Quite simply, it was three mozzarella sticks, a burger and fries and ten small squares of pizza on a flat piece of dough. Maybe $ 30, but not $ 50.

Went here for lunch with a co-worker during our recent rainstorms. Food was good… plenty of it. Service however was really slow, don’t know if they were short staffed, plus there was a large group there, 12+ people, but still Good place for lunch

To be honest I have yet to be «awe struck» by this place despite the many Guy fans who flock here in hopes to meet the local celeb. I personally think that the food is ok, way overpriced and lacks any freshness. The meals are somewhat creative but the menu kind of reminds me of Applebee’s. In fact the entire chain of restaurants reminds me of «high end» Applebee’s. All in all, nothing too special and only good for lunch specials. Dinner is WAY overpriced.
