I work nearby and come in here a lot. The staff all have taken the effort to get to know me, what kinds of beers I like, and even know my husband’s name even though he doesn’t drink and is rarely there with me. The food is generally good, grab the ahi salad if they have it as a special. The best part for me is getting to sit outside on the patio when the weather is nice! In short, I’d recommend Patterson’s to anyone looking for a low key local pub(except on NFL Sunday — it gets verrrry crowded).

My friend and I had lunch here after barrel and beer tasting across the street. Fish and onion rings hit the spot to help sober us up. We balanced it out with a fresh salad. Service was attentive. A little to tipsy to remember the ambience.

Great staff. So friendly and they’re there to help, if needed. Great dinner chef. Calamari is so yummy and he does up some tasty grub; burgers, fish, and many others to go with your very well made drinks or ale. Great pub.

WARNING — Not an authentic Irish Pub. The music was too loud, you had to yell to hear yourself think let alone hear your friends. The beer was warm which always sucks. One plus was the garlic fries were really really good.

I have eaten here since they opened. Years ago it was decent pub food. But I will say the past year or two the food(quantity and quality) went downhill drastically. Not sure if it was a fluke so I continued to go back to give it a second and third try. Nothing changed. Swore to myself I would not go back. It is not what it used to be. Not sure if there was a change of owners or what but I will say I am very disappointed not to have a pub in Windsor anymore.

Hmm, wow. Someone put a lot of effort in this place as it looks like it could be really cool. Food, service and execution were lacking though. The bartender and waitress so into each other that most customers weren’t even greated walking in the door. In the hour I was there they talked 50 min of it with the waitress sitting at the bar. Food was poor. The pastrami sandwich I had was soggy and the meat so poor my teeth could get through it. The onion rings obviously weren’t pealed as I was pulling the skins out with each bite. I usually give pub fair a break but this is a shame. I bet the management doesn’t even know the salt shaker on my table doesn’t work! It looks like they have a bunch of cool beers but I cant read them on the chauk board that is not lite at all! I couldn’t read it! Someone is paying big rent for this site. To bad the management doesn’t see what’s going on.

Stopped in for lunch yesterday. Meals tend to be hit or miss depending on the day I guess. Got a burger and a beer, sadly it took over 35 minutes for my burger to come out. The burger was a little overcooked for me(Ordered medium rare). The waitress was kind enough to give me a discount for the lost time and overcooking of the burger. As stated above the meals are hit or miss, I have had stellar meals in the past, then days like yesterday seem to pop up here and there for me when stopping by. Still a nice restaurant to relax and enjoy a meal in though!

Came in to grab some food and a few beers. I ordered the buffalo wings and garlic fries and my wife ordered the Cobb salad. The wings were good but in my opinion the garlic fries were not good really at all. My wife enjoyed the Cobb salad but poured the blue cheese dressing from my wings and didn’t like the blue cheese. Aside from the poor garlic fires the pub is awesome. Very clean and pretty clean and well kept restrooms. They also allow dogs on the patio with is always a plus for me. Servers and bartenders are hella nice and are on top of it. Just avoid the garlic fires.

The bartender is very nice, fun and someone you can talk with. Everyone here seems to know him. The waitress was great as well. The Cobb salad was great and so were the Buffalo wings my husband ordered. Their garlic fries are boring, drizzled in butter and garlic salt? But I feel like the food here is great! And the employees seem very fun. They have regulars and that is always a good sign.

I have Dj’ed here many times and the staff is awesome to work with. I have eaten here only a handful of times but it’s starting to be more frequent because the food is really good. My favorite is the hand breaded chicken strips and waffle fries, and for breakfast the breakfast sandwich & potatoes are pretty tasty. Thank you Jason for stepping up and keeping Patterson’s a town favorite.

Horrible service. Will never come here again. Food was cold. Half of the order came in 15 minutes before the rest of the order. Just awful.

Great local bar on the town green! There are always a group of regulars bellied up to the bar, which is a good sign. They have great prices on draft beers, several TVs to catch the game, standard pub food… And always have Guiness on tap. The bartenders are always super friendly! Since they serve food you can bring the kids and they welcome that.

During our stay in Windsor this past weekend, we had the morning/early afternoon to kill before our wine tasting adventure. It was Sunday, so we were on the hunt for somewhere to watch football. I did some Unilocal research and discovered Patterson’s was close to our hotel, and then when I asked at the front desk, they also recommend it as well. Score! It’s located in a cute little area in Windsor, with really neat décor inside. Plenty of parking, so we were already pretty happy walking in. They had all the TV’s going, with every NFL game on, great start! We sat at the bar, the bartender was fun and friendly. He recommended their freshly made bloody Mary, and since we had a slight hangover from the wedding we were at the night before, we went for it. Unfortunately it didn’t live up to the hype, it was watery and hard to drink. We sucked them down and then switched to Amaretto, Bailey’s and Coffee(or ABC’s as we like to call them). Those were delish. Sweet redemption! To eat, we both ordered something of the specials menu: chorizo chili with sour cream, cheese, and green onion. It was delicious. Now, the reasoning for only 3 stars. For most of the morning they only had one bartender on duty. He was a great guy and did a great job given the circumstances, but the bar was packed and they really needed a minimum of 2 bartenders on duty. It wasn’t until the Niners game started at 1:25 that they added two more. By that time we were on our way out, so we didn’t reap the benefits. There were often times we had to wait quite a while for a drink refill, while both of our glasses sat empty and lonely on the bar. I don’t want to give too many extra points for the food, since we only had 1 small item. Overall we really enjoyed the atmosphere, and met a bunch of super cool people while sitting at the bar(football really brings people together!). I will keep the place in mind next time we are in the area, and hopefully get a chance to update my review. (PS we were too focused on football the entire time so I forgot to snap some pics! Next time.)

Bought a Living Social deal and took my mom to try Patterson’s Pub. We ordered several items to share. What I liked: 1. Sitting outside on a crisp but sunny NorCA day, enjoying a pint of Magners Irish CIder on tap. 2. A server who was friendly and engaging. 3. Watching regulars come in the side door and hear them greeted by the staff. 4. Having brief conversations with other patrons because the atmosphere just lends itself to friendliness. 5. The patty melt was the best of what we tried and the French dip actually tasted good though visually, I thought it was going to be a disaster. :)(au jus was toooo salty for my preference.) The food was not spectacular but it wasn’t «bad» so I’ll come back for the atmosphere. We both agreed everything was greasy, including the aforementioned patty melt. We needed a fresh salad to cut through it all but made the mistake of ordering potato skins and calamari instead.(grin) What I didn’t love, unfortunately: 1. calamari — though plentiful, it was(IMHO) flavorless and so greasy, the pool of oil was unappetizing. Between the two of us, we left more than half of it, and that is UNUSUAL. 2. The potato skins were good and had ton of bacon but again, the oil must not have been hot enough because they TASTED fried.(Make sense?) 3. Even the fries were greasy. I’m sensing a pattern so perhaps the oil needed to be changed, wasn’t hot enough at the time or it’s just the way they do things. I’m not a restaurant chef so I haven’t a clue but as a home cook, I know I’d fry fish at a lower temp than the fries/etc. Perhaps they fry everything at the same temp? That would make sense as to why the oil soaks in more to the food? I don’t know. :) So, bottom line for me… I’ll order something else that does not go near the deep fryer. Atmosphere for a local joint is right on target for me!
