I had the lunch special general todo and it was spicy and good. Not that sweet stuff a lot of them make. You could see the dried up red peppers in there. The place was clean and the egg roll was not greasy.

We have been using Hong Kong for almost 20 years now and find that the food is excellent. The shrimp egg rolls are super top rate and the Szechuan chicken and the general Tso’s chicken are to die for. We have tried others but always return to Hong Kong.

We stopped in around 5:00 Saturday and got the General Tao’s Chicken and Pork Lo Mein to go. The restaurant itself was dirty and not well kept. Neither the place or people working made us feel welcome. The Kitchen area did not appear tidy, either. The General Tao’s was rubbery and very hard to chew or cut with a fork. I am not sure if it was already made and just reheated and given to us, or if something else was wrong with it. The sauce was good, but not the chicken itself. The Lo Mein was good, but it’s pretty hard to get Lo Mein wrong. With so many other choice in the area, I would not return.

I’m sorry that those previous reviewers had ONE bad experience at Hong Kong and ran to Unilocal about it, no human is perfect. They’re people not robots just to serve you. Sorry, I’ll get off my soapbox. But I am also sorry more Unilocalers don’t visit this place. I’ve always had great personable service from the guys that work there. And let me tell you… the GENERAL TSO’S IS BANGIN’. No kidding. I lived in DC for a year and would always go to the highly acclaimed Sichuan House, and don’t get me wrong their food is no slouch by any means, but it just made me crave the General Tso’s at Hong Kong that much more. Try it. I think you’ll like it!

The food was ok, the service was the WORST. I ordered at the restaurant, 2 lunch specials… nothing out of the ordinary, no substitutions. I checked the package… but didn’t look inside the contains… MISTAKE. I received one wrong soup and no sauce on my sweet and sour chicken. We called and they would not deliver the correct order. The girl on the phone promised a free meal, I asked if it was the one I had payed for already, and she had to convince the owner that I should get 2 meals, the one I paid and a free one. Not to mention, it took 10 minutes to spell my street address and even using «Bravo Lima etc», I «confused» the girl on the phone. DON’T EAT HERE.

I ordered food to be delivered from here. The service was great but the food was ok but I wasn’t impressed at all. We usually eat out 3 to 4 times a week at restaurants so we try different places often. If the food is mediocre I get a bit upset because I am paying for good food outside so we don’t have to cook at home and so I want it to be of high quality. I like carabbas, mike’s american grill, cheesecake factory, pei wei, la Madeline, ruth chris, mccormicks, red robin, chilli’s and legal seafoods.
