Food is pretty bad already, but after seeing one of the cooks drop a rib on the floor, pick it up, and put it in the oven anyway right in front of me made it the last place I’ll ever go to for chinese food.

This place used to be amazing, but I ordered from here lately and it took forever(3 other customers got their food before me) and what I did get was just flat out gross. I was drunk and hungry and couldn’t manage to finish it. On top of that, their delivery minimum on Seamless used to be only $ 7 with no fee, but they suddenly changed it to $ 15 with a fee of $ 4.99. That’s completely absurd.

Not sure why there are so many bad reviews. This is standard take out chinese food. Better than a lot of ones I’ve been to and best one in the area. Fried dumplings and beef and broccoli are good

Everyone has given this place such bad reviews but I have tried every Chinese restaurant the area too and this is the best in my opinion. I typically order lomain, sesame chicken and soup. It’s nothing mind blowing… it’s just Chinese food. Not too salty and not rubbery. They even make my lomain without scallions and they also have an A rating. I say, eat up!

Standard fare Chinese food. Have been ordering from here for years. Try their salt and pepper pork chop

Awful Chinese cuisine. I may go as far as to say the worst I’ve ever had. And I eat a lot of Chinese/Asian food. Beef was tough and rubbery, chicken was tasteless. Couldn’t finish my food and believe me I am not a picky eater. I pretty much eat anything. I have never negatively reviewed a place before but this joint deserves it. Do not waste your money on this place.

Don’t order from here. I ordered sesame chicken and got fried dough. There was so little chicken, if any at all that it tasted like zeppoles with sauce on them plus a couple pieces of broccoli. I’m pretty certain that while paying for white meat chicken sesame chicken I got sesame dough. Unbelievable. Also took 40 minutes to get to where I am which is less than ten minutes away. Plus the driver called to ask where I was when I already told him queens blvd before they left. They called me to ask if I was on northern blvd. I was on queens blvd and when I called to find out where they were, all they told me was, «he’s there now, we very busy, click» disgusting. Never again.

DONOTEATHERE! METALWIREINFOOD! I’ll keep this short and sweet. My fiancé found a piece of metal wire of some sort in her sesame chicken. Finally they agreed to give me a refund but only after they sent some guy to come see the metal wire for his own eyes. Check out my picture to see what you’ll be getting in your food. Only order from here if you enjoy eating metal. And what REALLY grinds my gears, is that the guy came with an attitude like I did something wrong! Not even a single apology! UNREAL!

The food is only passably decent. The attitude is horrendous. On the phone they act like they’re doing you a favor by ordering from them. The delivery man, I agree with another reviewer, has a horrible attitude and will demand a tip. I always tip but one day I had something on my mind and thought I had the tip included in the money I gave him and didn’t. He let me know in a rotten angry way. I’ve had it with their attitude for only passable food and have stopped ordering from them.

This is one of the worst if not thee worst restaurant in the sunnyside neigborhood. So I placed a order from work and waited around 2 hours order comes in. I ordered a beef and broccoli and a snapple order came I look got a coca cola and a chicken with a broccoli this dish should be renamed as broccoli with 2 pieces of chicken lets not even get started. The food was filled with sauce which contained MSG. I did not tip the delivery guy because I was so pissed and he refused to leave the office unless he got a dollar at least. Overall a horrible experience will not repeat.

When I first started ordering from them they were great. The past 6 months they have not gotten a single order right(I was ordering about once a week from them too). I stopped ordering from them for about a month and when I tried ordering from them today they got everything wrong in the order. They did not even get the main dish right and it is printed on the receipt! I am done with this place.

The WORST customer service of all time. I gave perfect instructions about my order and it came out wrong. I got charged for a snapple when I ordered 2 and instead I received a nasty big soup. Never did they call to let me know they didn’t have any snapple not even when I call to ask why my delivery was taking so long. The delivery guy was so rude and was screaming at me when I called him to get an explanation since the store had closed. After screaming and hanging up on me so many times he finally came back to get the food and give me my money back. HORRIBLE! Never again.

this is my go to neighborhood Chinese food place. I get the same things every time and it is pretty consistent but definitely just your basic Chinese. Knowing what to order seems key here. we get — broccoli w garlic sauce — egg fried rice — and usually a noodle dish of some sort. — also we love the ridiculously skinny spring rolls that are mostly just an excuse to eat fried stuff. soups here are thick. so if you don’t like that, don’t get them. cream cheese wontons aren’t bad either. the smaller portions are generous and enough to give me at least another meal if not more(though I am not an over eater by any means). spend $ 10 get a free soda.

This is the place with the delivery drivers on the mopeds who constantly ride on the sidewalks. And it’s filthy.

I desperately wanted to like this place because it’s very close to my house and I love a good Chinese take-out place. Tried it twice and each time it did funky things to my stomach. Nothing seriously scary but enough to say«I’d rather not eat here again.» The food itself tasted OK(the bar is set pretty low as I don’t expect a gourmet meal here, I just don’t want to have an upset stomach after dinner) and the menu had a decent selection. Alas, the search for good quality, local Chinese food continues.

I usually order pick-up so I don’t know about delivery times. In terms of the food, New Szechaun House offers a few options outside the standard Takeout fare, while still offering all the Americanized specials one comes to expect. The first time I ordered a shrimp dumpling noodle soup and received regular dumplings, the next time I did, they almost made the same mistake until one of the women packing the order realized the chef’s mistake and had him correct it. In a neighborhood filled with small, pricey cafés, it’s nice to not to have to go all the way to Flushing for a little bit of real Chinese food. F.Y.I., if you’re planning to pay by card, they charge a dollar extra, so I suggest you bring cash.

Consistent with the dime a dozen Chinese takeout places throughout the Woodside /Sunnyside hoods, New Szechuan House has done much to distinguish itself from the rest of the pack. The food has been lackluster and mediocre at best, coupled by consistent delivery snafus and botched orders. It’s a shame really, I had such high hopes for this place. The first thing that stood out to me was it’s menu. It featured the usual American Chinese suspects(egg foo young with gravy, lo mein anything, etc.) found in virtually any Chinese takeout joint and managed to come across someone who couldn’t stop raving about their pork fried rice and egg flower soup. There was a lot more stuff to look at of course, this menu was pretty versatile for a Chinese takeout joint. Before I subjected myself to such, I noticed there was a few more items on the menu worth digging deeper. Singapore Chow Mein? Wat Dan Ha Yan(shrimp with eggs) and Yangzhou fried rice. Everything was not exactly to my liking, a tad salty with the Singapore noodles, bland Yangzhou fried rice, and a shrimp /egg dish that was loaded with peas, carrots, and onions. While the addition of other condiments might sound appealing, this was no match for other versions of this delicious dish I’ve had from similar takeout spots. While the delivery is often times mistake prone and delay heavy, I appreciate their phone manners and overall friendly customer service. This is one thing that keeps me considering further patronage here. A quick fix of the food is one way this place can turn itself around, here’s hoping they accomplish this soon.
